What I miss the most these past 30 days

Running my business; my employees.

Hanging with many of my friends.

A Ranger hockey game.

Washing my hands 20x a day not 50x.

Collecting my Amazon deliveries without 2 pair of latex gloves.

Frequenting my favorite bartenders.

Eating at La CouCou in NYC.

Going to the cinema

Having a day saver bus ticket and bus hopping all day (and getting a bacon sandwich and a cappuccino from Greggs)

Meeting up with my friends

Being able to browse and shop for non-essential items (clothes, paint, etc.)

Being able to sleep in and not having to get up at 8:15am to get in line at the supermarket!

Haircuts - I've missed one appt. and will miss at least one more before we are let out.

Being able to pop out to a restaurant for dinner.

Being able to go to the grocery store without the gloves/mask/etc...

Being able to talk to my neighbors without having to remember to "keep my distance".

And I want my favorite breakfast burrito place to re-open.

Football  (thats the one with your foot and a ball not the pick it up and run ball)

Getting out in my brand new car which I had for a week before lockdown. (I had already waited 6 months for it to be delivered so this is like double punishment)

Going to the garden centre

letting people through my front door 

allowing my son out with the dog (without a huge lecture and the whole decontamination routine when he comes back in the house)

my nightly soap operas 

being able to buy what I want when I want

my driveway being clear of all the builders sand and supplies they had to just leave behind when they had to down tools

My monthly podiatrist appointment 

(I have long curly hair so I can get away without haircuts for months)

I'll tell you one thing I won't miss - having Trump, Cuomo and our county executive giving daily briefings. I'm so sick of all of them and all the bad news each and every day!

I, personally, would rather have bad news than fake bad news - so I listen to President Trump and the Dr's.

I miss a feeling of safety. It feels dangerous to go out into the world, or to even accept something from the outside world coming into my house (the mail, for example).

I miss fast deliveries of whatever from wherever

I miss trips to the city to sit all morning in a coffee shop drinking cappuccino and enjoying sourdough toast with my friends, and talking rubbish all morning.

I specifically miss Sunday 15th March 2020, which was, by far, the best day I had ever had since .... I can't remember when really. I was with someone and said to them "I wish I could stop time right now".  And someone corrupted my wish!!!!!!

Physical therapy. Fitness training. I never thought I could be so stiff. I can't wait until the gym opens. And the swimming pool. I think I am going to cry when I can get in the warm water therapy pool again.

I miss about 30% of my asset portfolios

I guess I miss sheepshead games at lunch, that's about it.  I'll miss the frequent flyer miles when I want to take my next vacation.

Not having to use hand sanitizer so many times

The monthly massage therapy appointments.

The ability to see my acupuncturist when something needs fixing. Now I have to resort to popping some drugstore remedies and hope for the best.
