Curiously, there's an empty void within the new group. Possibly a space reserved for a special region, such as a community area?

The void region is now a blue-covered (at the moment) region called "Overall".  I have not noticed any green dots in this whole new area since it appeared on the map, but I haven't been in very much.  This area seems to confirm that there WILL be a new theme reveal during SL20B!

--------------------------

Generally, there hasn't been much going on up in the SSP areas for the past couple of weeks, presumably there's a push to get the SL20B regions ready.

My most consistent sightings up in the SSP area have been in SSP83X (2 dots there now, /me waves to Dyna and Quartz), and occasional dots in Conspiracy III (seems to have been used as a sandbox of sorts over time) and the QA Vault.   I've only caught folks working in the new theme area a couple of times.  Oddly, SSP4000 has been moved from its position in the 4031-4035 row to just below SSP4035.

Here is something REALLY weird:  look at these regions which I just noticed between the new area and Loglands.  A whole set of Welcome Hubs mostly unrelated to Belli, "Motown", and a Casino? @Abnor Mole ,will these be moving elsewhere (hopefully?)

Those regions look to be very new I know Helios Casino has only been open a couple of months or so. I don't think they will be getting moved

Looking at my tp history from two days ago, on map the region "Helios casino" now directs to "Helios Casino Alpha" and the original region name in the new cluster isn't public access yet

These new finds now remind me of something I speculated about a year ago.

Back on 31st May 2022, I went to Puffin Head Events Centre in Bellisseria for a look around. I watched the Bellisseria build history slideshow there.  In it, there was this "Log Homes Layout Plan" slide.

^ In this slide, I noticed part an unnamed landmass located to the north of the current Log continent, which I ringed in red. I found there was even a railway line running north from Moose Tracks! At the time, I thought I'd found the plans of a secret new sub-continent, until Abnor replied that "plans change".

And below, here's a repost of my "new continent" speculation map I drew at the same time in 2022, which I based on the "Log Homes Layout Plan" slide above.

Might be true afterall!  Or not, if plans really have changed. 😜

There have been dots working in the new area, which we're guessing is the new houses from all the cows. All looks normal for a release.

The casino extension looks like the thing they were working on in the CH regions, which have also had a lot of activity leading up to the birthday. This was something I'd marked as a possible thing they were going to reveal. I'd thought it might be a full resort with the casino as one activity, which the region names suggest is the case... though with a focus on activities for new people.

I'd assume the thought of putting it there is that if new people just start wandering (if it's an island that will end up connected to everything else) they'll end up in the Linden Homes, which is a generally nicer area to wander. Also, Linden Homes were intended as starter houses, so having resources for newer people fits.

On the casino itself, the chips can't be cashed out, so it's not a skill gaming region as far as I'm aware. The skill gaming hub might be, but it also might just be somewhere that explains how it works. I'm more surprised that activity is still popular in Second Life, as the only times I've been to those regions on hunts, they've been completely dead.

Seems weird to put a "Skilled Gaming" hub and Casino in Belli, which is a non-commercial estate.

Given it's an LL region I think the skill gaming hub is going to be like if not a copy of Gaming Island a free play only skill gaming region (you can win L$ there) I have seen Linden's frequent, there are portals to it at the portal park, social islands and it's one of the places you can go after you've done the orientation process.

Helios casino has slot machines and casino table games the only real L$ that changes hands are the ones you spend buying more valueless game chips once your initial 500 chips and daily bonus plus any winnings run out

Maybe "Motown" is misprint and it's supposed to be "Mootown"?

If these regions are meant to be in Belli, I would think they'd more naturally go over near the Galaxy.  There is grid space.  The Galaxy is an entertainment destination already, and  to me gaming would seem more natural near it.  Sort of a Vegas vibe.

I don't think they want noobs near the Galaxy. It's old and it looks it.

Ah!  I was just thinking of it as a fairly successful venue - I see quite a few small-medium size gatherings taking place there.  Might be nice to start off your second life by visiting a party of some kind :)

Well!  Busy times in the new Belli Hubs ... I can't TP there as yet.  Perhaps you have to be a newbie or a mentor?

Moles may be freeing up from their SLB duties (it looks like residents may still be working on their exhibits). Adora and Sleepy were back working on Vic Island this morning, and there's a group of 4 green dots in Talon Peak, in the presumed new theme.  There is also someone in SSPVCRW, oddly.

Happy Monday!

The number of dots makes me wonder if they're training the first mentors. They're not moving the way builders usually do either. But could also just be a stress test to make sure it runs with a bunch of people running around clicking all the things.

They're probably giving staff a tour to make sure everyone knows it's now a thing.

There is an actual place in the UK with that name I believe it's somewhere in the Greater Manchester area

And people with long memories or a love of old British vaudeville may remember Stanley Holloway's routine about the time that Mr. and Mrs. Ramsbottom took young Albert to the zoo.  It contained the line, "Cooie!  Yon lion's et Albert, he 'as!  Him and his Sunday best." (Apparently misquoted, now that I hear the recording ...) My dad had an 78 rpm record with that routine on the A side. The lovely song about Anne Boleyn ( "with 'er 'ead tooked oonderneath 'er arm, she walks the bloody tower ...." ) was on the flip side. When the mood would strike Dad, he did a passable rendition of both sides of the record.  Anyway, that's where Ramsbottom sits in my memory.   I had a very strange childhood.

Edit:   Oooo!  It's on YouTube >>>
