Provided that the system layer is mod, you can tint it and that will show on the bake. I recently made an underpants layer with a 50% transparent white texture to overlay a pair of no-mod grey leggings. So I tint my overlay rather than the leggings themselves.

I have a male avatar with Maitreya and V-tech, after trying a bunch of demos I settled on the Margeaux head from Catwa, mainly because it was the one most similar in shape to my previous male head. The shape is my own, again tweaked to get as close as possible to my previous look. What I particularly like about it is the strong jaw and prominent cheekbones; it's a very angular-looking head, in no way a "baby-face" look. Here's how it looks with a male skin (this is Elias from Elysium, which to be fair does still look fairly feminine unless I add face & body hair): And here's a femme skin (Stacy from Flamboyant Sweets): (Elf ears are separate, not part of the Catwa head). You won't be able to get a male head to fit Maitreya; the neck sizes are completely different. However the reverse is possible; Catwa have (three, I think) female heads with neck fits for male bodies. For skins I use quite a few; Flamboyant and Pink Fuel for femme (Pink Fuel sells separate breast dehancer layers and boy chest layers to go over the breast area, they do not work with any other skins, Flamboyant skins are ready-made with flat chest). For male skins I use Elysium (no longer available except as ripped/stolen) and Plastik. Plastik is mainly fantasy skins but they do some in normal colours too, the faces are somewhat femme but the bodies are more muscular. DNA male skins are also very femme but they are a bit meh - they are also Classic/Bakes-on-mesh only, no appliers. However, they are free in their store until the end of November (you need to join the L'Homme Magazine readers group to get them, the group is free to join and there's a group joiner in the DNA store). Even with a femme skin, the Margeaux head doesn't look particularly child-like, although it helps that I'm 7' tall in SL - no-one's going to accuse me of being a child avatar at that height. I would probably have issues with that if I was 6' or under.

This time though, I knew exactly who it was - it was Chris Eubank, who was at the time a very well-known boxer in the UK. He was a perfect gentleman, and very friendly, and after he'd gone and we went to pay, we found that our bill had already been settled.

No, and when there are enough new homes available, they will remove the old ones altogether. But you can use your 512m old Linden home AND get another 512m parcel on regular mainland as well. Or you can abandon the Linden Home altogether and get 1024m on regular mainland, which is what I did.

That disc is not going anywhere near my computer, or my TV. Who knows what viruses it contains? If I had more than a day, I'd have time to set up one of the old desktops we have in the spare room but they've all had parts cannibalised from them so that wouldn't be an easy task. And I am not THAT curious about it. Like others have said, I'd assume it was either cyber-criminals looking for suckers, or it's a religious cult of some kind (we have a lot of Jehovah's Witnesses around here). One thing's for sure, they are not going to be recruiting for an exciting super-secret special-ops thing. Not a disabled bloke pushing fifty. That only happens in fiction.

Recently I've started going back to the Shelter whenever I'm bored and my usual haunts are empty. For a place geared towards newbies, it has a hell of a lot of us oldbies hanging around and chatting all the time. There's a DJ event every day at 1pm and most days also another at 6pm or 7pm (can't remember which, but either way, too late for me). But I have never even once found it empty.

Same here, except I'll take a daily session with Patch... 😍 The increased MP fees is a shame, but I am very pleased about the listing fee for Events. My only concern is that L$50 is not enough to kill all the duplicates - if they bring in a profit of more than L$50 they will still happen. And people who already don't post their non-Adult, non-Fake events won't be encouraged to do so. Maybe allow ONE free listing per day per Premium account, and charge more than L$50 for everything else?

Probably you had Basic Shaders or Hardware Skinning turned off, and increasing your graphics settings turned it back on.

You can still make a double name by choosing your own first AND last name, putting them together and capitalizing appropriately.

The money goes to whoever has dividend rights in the group at the time you donated. So if you did so, your 50L would be shared between Nancee and whoever else she appointed with that role. It may be that one of those people is the new owner. Presumably, Nancee has now left the group, but if she hasnt, she is still getting shares of the 1000L fees too.

Did you actually purchase some Linded Dollars with your payment method? The profile won't change until you have done that. It used to, years ago, but now it only changes if you have actually USED your payment info.
