@Alyona Su I have a hypothetical but serious question for you. Suppose one of your RL friends introduces you to a person who uses the name "Carol". Carol admits to you personally that she was born with male genitalia and her birth certificate says "male". But Carol fully identifies as female, dresses entirely feminine and tells you that she prefers she/her pronouns. Carol wants gender reassignment surgery and hormone therapy but cannot access it because of financial/political/legal constraints. As a result of this, Carol still has a somewhat masculine appearance and voice. You go away and talk about Carol with your other RL friends. Do you refer to Carol as "he" or "she"?

With 7000 prims on landlocked land, I would build an elven city similar to Silvermoon City in Warcraft, or Tirion in the Silmarillion. A city of glittering ivory spires and decorated plazas on many levels. With water access I would build an underwater mer-folk city of submerged ruined buildings and shipwrecks. And bats, especially fruit bats, are totally adorbz.

I edit the names of every item in my inventory to remove leading charactars, otherwise I will never find anything I need ever again. However, I do use some of these special characters to sort my outfits so they do have their uses.

If I lose my job as a result of today's election result, that will affect my SL. If the NHS is disbanded and I cannot get the regular treatment I need to remain independent, if I have to sacrifice internet access to get healthcare, that will affect my SL. If I have to choose between paying my internet provider and buying food, that will affect my SL. SL is never separate from RL.

This is absolutely the problem that both the US and the UK are facing right now. When people deliberately vote against their own self-interest, due to media misinformation, and when they vote according to that misinfornation, that is a huge problem.

I decided to try @Alyona Su's trick of adding some face shear. This is 10 points, which I think may be a little too much for me; at this amount the eyes are very noticeably different sizes; I tried to use Eye Pop to even them out a bit, but apparently Catwa heads don't respond to that slider. So I'm turning the shear down to 6 points and I like that much better.

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) only covers personal data that identifies a real living individual. Your real name, address, date of birth etc. Anonymous data (that can't be linked to your real identity) doesn't count, neither does data concerning an avatar. You can cancel your SL account and ask Linden Lab to erase all personal data they have on you (information you provided when you signed up, any banking/paypal details you linked to your account, any data you provided to verify your identity for cashing-out, etc). You would have to cancel your account first, because this data is necessary for them to continue administering your account if you want to continue using SL. They would not delete your forum posts though, because they don't contain any of your RL protected data. This is why posting personal RL details, about yourself or anyone else, is against the rules. ETA: I'm waiting for someone to necro this thread in 2024 😂

Its interesting how this piece has sparked so much conversation and different interpretations. Its one of those pictures that tells a much bigger story. I like it a lot; simple composition yet at the same time its also deep and full of emotion. We don't know what the man did, whether he shot someone, who that someone was or why. We only know that something happpened. The rest is for us to decide. And that's art at its best. Bravo, sir!

He and him in RL, always. In SL I am much more non-binary and will answer to any pronouns, depending on how I look on any given day.

Its Geralt, not Gerald. If they called it Gerald, that was a typo. The majority of mens clothing, gacha and otherwise, is for Signature's other body, Gianni, with Belleza Jake close second. You'll find both of those in gachas too.

If you see anyone breaking the TOS, submit an abuse report. Simple as that. Linden Lab will investigate what happened, using their own logs, and if someone did indeed break the TOS they will be banned
