Correct yes. The Fairgrounds though, is usually not booked for a standard 2 hour DJ party let's say (just an example). Though I assume it certainly could be! Most tend to book it for events rather than a singuilar DJ party. Be it a full day event, a weekend, a week or longer in some cases. And during said events, many of the event organizers DO invite DJ's or singers to come and entertain the community.

My partner and I currently have an event running there for the month of April - HamRaiders. And over the course of the month - there are about 13 DJ parties sprinkled throughout our booked time there.

Most regular DJ parties though .. let's say a one time, 2-3 hour party. Tend to happen at the community centers. Campwich, Surf Beach etc etc. And they are fantastic open spaces that can hold quite a good crowd. Those community centers also have the public dj radio's that Abnor mentioned earlier here. So once he adds you to that particular list you can then simply click the radio, paste in your stream and boom you are good to go!

I am not sure if people NEED to be a Belli resident specifically to use those radio's though.  @Abnor Mole can you shed some light on this please? :)

I am so could change the stream for them. I think they have TIS dance balls so with the hud version we could bring our own couple dances along.

The only downside is not being able to rezz tip jars really, except at the fairgrounds. It is not something that would bother me personally if it wasn't for it being unfair on the rotation system we have with our DJs with those at say a Campwich event having to rely on one of those "hooker" worn tip jars lol.

The Bellisseria Performers Group is so you can use the calendars in the Events Center. The LDPW parcel radios work off of an account name list. Once someone is on the list when they touch the radio it brings up a popup they enter their stream. To remove the stream touch it and enter a blank field. The radio times out and removes the stream 3 hours after the last time it was entered. (you can play longer, you just have to enter it again before it times out and it restarts the clock)

As for entering streams for other people. Abnor essentially has created a master list. Where your name is in the radio to add your own stream. Beyond that, he would need to clarify exactly what that means since he runs the group and radios. @Abnor Mole

Update: I have discovered that the sentence " Tipping/Donations are allowed at functions held in Community Regions only." also appears in the Bellisseria covenant dated March 30, 2023. Is this a change. Have we always been able to have tip jars for DJs at community centers?

No, it was formerly not allowed. This is a new change that Linden Lab has allowed for entertainers in Bellisseria at the Fairgrounds and community centers only.

I think that BelliDemo is brilliant -- it is so nice to have a place we can send people when they want to know what a given theme looks like.

About a week or so ago, a new premium account owner moved into the oldstyle linden home instead of Belli. That was because she had only seen the Trads, and found them too small.  For her viewer, the camera angle frequent moved outside of the house and she saw the exterior walls while trying to move around the house's interior. She found it unusable for her needs. So she assumed all Belli homes were like that and did not want to live in Bellisseria.

I invited her over to see my Newbrooke, which worked fine for her camera angle. So she ended up trading in her Meadowbrooke (sp?) for a Newbrooke and moving to Bellisseria.

If this place had existed last week, she could have used it to find the belli house style that was "perfect" for her.

A lot of people are going to find this demo area very useful. I would not be surprised if we see some new premium account holders from these demos.

Well Done, Abnor Mole and Linden Lab!

And when you complete the training path, there's a boat rez zone and a sailboat rezzer.

walkonwater.thumb.png.9ebbca5a3d95f425187cb9693b7df834.pngYou can even walk on water in the rez zone. Float a boat, not so much. (Somebody, not going to say who, left a solid object called "Object" under the water surface.)

Once you get past that obstacle, sailing all the way around BellHub is a nice easy sail.

It's a nearly transparent prim to try and keep people from getting the 'cannot rez because the owner of this land doesn't allow it' when they drag something onto the surface of the water because it's actually reading the land settings far past that point. I guess the phantom setting didn't take.

In the time it took you to take a picture and post it in the forum you could have just messaged me.

I just rezzed the free sailboat, & it worked fine.

Abnor,  maybe you could write a bug report?  Region water height is a value known to both the region simulator and viewers of agent in the region.  Surely somebody can figure out the math.  It should be easier than the math for my bug report about not being able to rez on mesh objects.

I love the BelliHub, now I'm glad I kept that BoatHouse in Barnacle, it is just around the corner :)

The info center is amazing, and the houses showroom also, great place for learning about the houses and what Belli is. Congrats Patch and the Moles, very well done.

How cool! I like the layout of the homes and the home information boards. So much I like about this.

Here's a few quarks.

The boat house info board intro makes it sound like the house boat can be moved. Might consider changing wording to be something like water toys or take your personal water toys, launch your toys. Something like that might prevent confusion.

The final path what's next. the destination guide button loads a blank page using the linden viewer browser and external browser.

Don't want to over do the word premium makes it look like your selling something. products should sell themselves. I would add more information about free to all users in the community calendar area maybe. Everyone is welcome does not require premium membership.

I would add the premium gift area to the area showing premium offerings.

My main concern is how are new people going to find this area. Destination guide floater? Big demo button on map?
