Love Zhaoying
Peeve: Logged in, and my Region was painfully slow (script-wise). Rare - unheard of! Tried to teleport somewhere else but couldn't. ("The region may be unavailable or no longer exist.") I assume that my issue is something post-Region Restart. (I missed the actual Restart if it happened.) And the "could not teleport" issue was because that Region is being restarted. Everything was fine earlier this morning. Peeve!

Your issues have a good chance of getting taken more seriously. The downside is, the doctor will look at the other person while talking, lol. I swear to god.. sometimes I just want to lean ofer the desk and punch.

It might well be the best way, so I didn't argue too much, but then he decided he was entitled to advise me on my personal life. He must have aced Condescension Class in training. 2

I'm sure some of you can relate to this. Even if the money isn't a factor they still don't listen.. I was injured at work last January when someone threw a transmission in a hopper and it hit the edge and slide off and hit me in the hip joint as I was walking by.. I spent the next 6 months after that dealing with doctors that couldn't seem to pinpoint what was going on even though I was as descriptive as could be... then work still wanting me to come in and sit for 8 to 10 hours while people with wrist and shoulder injuries were sitting at home for months at a time.. Finally after 6 months when they were trying this out and trying that out, 3 MRI's later, when they thought, hey lets start sticking needle injections in her back and see if that works.. I said screw you all.. I stopped with the doctors and stopped dealing with the insurance company and quit where I was working.. Then took it on myself to heal up.. I started doing my own therapy that I learn from physical therapy plus kept finding more was to work it and kept on a strict diet of helpful food.. I didn't start healing until I got away from all of them that were just running me through the grinder.. I tell you what, I never really realized just how incompetent insurance companies and doctors are until having to deal with them every other day then, the way the place I work for acted as well.. I just gave them all the Italian version of the finger, which has to do with ,All the way to the elbow you bastages.. I didn't really do that, but that's how good it felt to just shut them all out and me put myself first rather than putting them first. because that's all it is, each one just covering their own ass while they throw you back and forth like a hot potato that's rotting away not getting any better... Never again. I feel for anyone that has to deal with them all the time. Ok that was more a vent than anything.. A huge Peeve I guess.. It felt good to get it out.. hehehe Edited February 2, 2023 by Ceka Cianci 4

Continuing to do it at home is the goal. What my physical therapist taught me was moist heat treatments which are amazing. The moist heat is best as it doesn't dry out the muscle and other tissues, plus what the heat concentrated in the area of injury does is it brings more oxygen and blood to the injured area to help heal it. With moist heat treatment though you have to use it for 15 minutes on and then must turn it off. What happens when you turn it off is it causes the tissue surrounding the area to relax. So constant heat is not a good thing. I've been doing this for years and sometimes I only need a few days of moist heat and then I feel no pain. You can turn it back it on for another 15 minutes and then off again, but two or three moist heat treatments work amazing. You just buy what is called a moist heating pad which will have instructions. After a year, are you feeling better now? Some injuries we may have for life and they will act up now and then. Moist heat has been my go to and it really works very well. Moist heat is sometimes part of a physical therapy regime but not always. This therapist I met and worked who taught me this gave me something invaluable, and it's called moist heat.

This therapist I met and worked who taught me this gave me something invaluable, and it's called moist heat. I'm still not fully healed, but I was getting worse letting them handle things.. work kept having me come in and having to sit which after two hours I was in so much pain that I would be out for three days after.. I went from being able to walk, to having to use a cane because of things not healing.. I had three cortisone shots in my hip joint.. then wanting to start them in my spine.. I just kept doing the therapy exercises myself, got rid of any foods that were not good for inflammation and increased food that were good for inflammation and anything else I could put into my diet.. then gradually got to the point where I could put the cane down, then to the point where I would take short walks, to where now I'm walking 5 miles every morning with hardly any pain.. The only good thing to come out of anything they did was introducing me to the physical therapist.. which they ended up cutting me off from after only 12 sessions.. That was 3 one hour sessions a week. That took them 2 months after I was hurt to finally get me in there.. lol Ya, I am much better off doing what I did and much more healthy.. Before all this, I was in the best health and shape of my life, So hopefully I can get back to that again.. I really miss that.. I miss not being so crabby all the time too.. The last few months I've been a lot easier to make crabby.. I just need to get back to work and feel more useful I guess, like before.. Took them years to get me there. *Shakes My Head*. The moist heat treatment comes from the field called "sports medicine". It is a peeve of mine that million dollar athletes get the best treatment while we get shots or pills that only work for a short time. The below are the two theories of sports medicine which has brought many benefits to the human race. Sports Medicine Specialists Physical therapists: They help people recover from injuries. Certified athletic trainers: These professionals provide rehabilitative programs to help athletes regain strength and prevent future injury.

Wouldn't it be less expensive to just not play contact sports thereby eliminating those types of injuries? 🤔 Medicine is so specialized now (compared to 30 - 40 year ago) that you have as much chance now of a correct first diagnosis as you did back then. As predicted, we have reached that point in which medicine has become too specialized for our own good. Just thinking out loud.

That's not likely to happen. Think of all the Barcaloungers and wide-screen TV sets that would go unused each week too, to say nothing of the beer and nachos. You're talking about a major economic upheaval. 3

Well, runners who aren't contact can injure themselves too, for example. Or, we could hurt ourselves just by falling down. My Mom stood on a chair to reach for something up in a cupboard and down she fell. She is alright now but old injuries can flare up again for strange reasons, something like just barometric pressure falling can cause a flare up. I think sports medicine is pretty awesome. I was fortunate to have a physical therapist who taught me how to help myself by explaining how it's working and why it works. As far as a specialty, I think it might be necessary if someone has something that is acute and chronic.

My Chiropractor had physical therapy specialists who did not focus on only "sports-related injuries", and they were able to teach me various stretches, exercises, etc. which completely solved my years-long back problems. Such therapists help with recovery from car crashes, general injuries, etc. and yes - also sports-related injuries.

Oh, you might be confusing what I'm saying. I'm saying physical therapy and moist heat came out of sports medicine. However, an injury is an injury. Sports medicine is not for sports related injuries only. Sports medicine techniques have also become fairly mainstream now. However, one's doctor prescribes a course of physical therapy to promote healing and rehabilitation from one's injury, whatever the injury may be or how it occurred. It doesn't have to be sports related at all. 1

My husband used to play rugby semi pro and almost made it to pro, but had gotten injured to where he couldn't play anymore.. Also when I was at the physical therapist, it ended up one of my nephews works out in the same place as the therapist I had and knew each other.. So he was always asking how i was doing and if I needed anything to let him know.. I was in physical therapy another time when i used to barrel race.. I don't think I had ever gotten so much advice and help from family and friends as I have this past year.. hehehe As far as medicine, prescription wise that the doctors would prescribe.. I always looked for the more healthy option.. They wanted me taking like 800 or 1000 mg of Naproxen I forget.. I was like, not on their life, surely not on mine. I'm not putting my kidney's through that. they could have kept me on therapy and kept me at home, but they didn't want to hear it ,even though I said time and time again, it was working. I really feel bad for anyone stuck with having to be in the situations where they are on that, I just call it the cattle drive.. because that is exactly what it felt like to me.. just cattle getting pushed through while everyone watches their own back.
