They contain a limited number of colors (initially 256) and processes for reducing file size. Think dithering. When Compuserve started hurting for money they tried to enforce their copyright/patent on GIF images. To get around the patent the PNG image was invented and basically replaced GIF image formats. What I've done is remove the convenience kiosk near the entry and moved all of the vending machines into this space to create a crowded little convenience store. Then replaced the kiosk with a magazine stand and small vid-phone building. Last open spot I'll add a cyber repair depot and time travel/cyber kiosk, and there's a small space behind a closed door that will be for "weird" if anyone rolls to door up to discover it. Orwar Posted November 20, 2023 Share Posted November 20, 2023 My partner and I started re-furnishing the bedroom a little while back, and then we got side-tracked by Christmas decorating. We started running into the LI cap of the house though, so as she wasn't around tonight I figured I'd do something about the wainscoting. Messed around with Blender for a bit, and then I did a bit of work on some old textures I had lying around, and suddenly the bedroom wainscoting went from 24 LI for the old mesh panels I'd bought to 3 LI. Still might need to tinker a bit more with the textures to get the tone just right, but on the whole I feel like it went pretty well! This is just my opinion, but...the machines in your pic are a bit too clean for me, maybe get the Arcadia Asylum freebies, which I still think look great (and are also really noisy ) Or make some machines based on those? What goes in this spot below, suggestions anyone? Maybe a standing bar, serving drinks and little snacks? Or a live karaoke parlour? 🎤 Or a small shop? Doing a very similar thing right now, with immense criticism over my lack foresight on the matter, kinda ran out of items i can add before i finished all the rooms finally bought premium after ages of on again/off again playing, figured i might as well commit, and i got a smaller linden home than i could because i wanted the land options for potentially buying something else separate, and in hindsight i shouldve just gotten the 2048m home so shes kinda just sittin in the corner laughing at me and my other empty rooms 13 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
