  1. For someone from the UK they wouldn't want to be known as a Chav. They are stereotyped as being young, low social class, loutish people wearing branded sportswear, UGG boots, chunky gold jewellery, inches thick makeup and lots of Burberry check clothing
  2. Are you wearing a shoe/foot shape? i have at least one pair of shoes that deform badly when a shoe shape is worn. your example does not look too bad to me
  3. unless IMVU used the interactive advertising where you were given a few options to customize something, i wasn't aware of it before SL. Something made me curious to give it a try wasn't impressed think i gave up after a few days. go back to it a couple of years+ later and my account had been deleted no warning. signed up again still not impressed, in their viewer it's a case of i'm here now what do i do. the whole room thing doesn't work for me. The first time you login to SL you're given a world you can move around in and there's other people that might chat to you
  4. Have you tried using a fringe on it's own, some of the hairstyles i own from Bonbon and Truth come with separate resizable unrigged fringes i've even bought fringes on their own before to use with hood up clothes
  5. Saturday Sale offering from Kraftwork L$100. This modern mini kitchen is 14 Li includes dark and light left and right hand versions plus 2 Li stools
  6. This 8 Li total desk set from Wrong has previously been on offer for L$60 recently if you missed it, it's back this weekend http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Dreamworld Reef/113/17/28 The adult portion of the set is the chair
  7. I don't come from a prohibited area, however since you can only ever win worthless game tokens i find playing at Helios can get a little boring. if i do fancy wasting a little time on games i go to the skill game region also in the noobie complex, all freeplay and you can scratch together a few L$ at some of them. i used to indulge in paid games when i was a bit richer and the internet wasn't getting reset every time i hear "my phones lost WiFi"
  8. I thought LL had some kind of AI already, the last time I had to engage with live chat i had to go through the Boxy bot. When the bot couldn't provide the answer a live chat agent stepped in and was most helpful
  9. In the UK a garage can also mean a place you go to get your car serviced and repaired and also a petrol station or gas station in the US they always have some kind of convenience store where you can pick up sweets and essentials
  10. They are testing it on Android too but it requires Android 13 which i think is the latest, which would completely rule out my comparatively ancient phone running Nougat
  11. A friend of mine whose long since deleted their account used to co-own Second Afterlife Cemetery i'm not inworld right now but the web search shows it still exists in saeneul https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Saeneul/99/209/1206
  12. i would've thought Bellisseria would be a prime place to look, lots of homes mine included will have some kind of festive lights or décor outside their property, just like RL. I do know LL have made the Victorian home community region all snowy and festive for Christmas
  13. LL were much stricter with what add-ons are allowed in Newbrooke, roof additions were soon outlawed as not being in keeping with the container home theme when many people see them more as mid century modern. i seem to remember any add on not in theme at first release was quickly returned. i did notice cars and other vehicles being very popular additions to the front of peoples Newbrookes' more so than the Halloween hunt candy i was collecting a month or two ago
  14. If you have the freebie TMP Lagacy Classic body you might want to look for clothes rigged for TMP on the marketplace anything still available will all be old and outdated now
  15. Not a fan of traditional Christmas tress or short on Li Youneed has you covered with these 3 Li wooden trees L$60 per colour for Happy Weekend http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Glendell/133/76/23
  16. i'm not a big shopper of jewellery, i don't recall seeing anything specifically labelled fitmesh. anything i see advertised or i own in necklaces is either unrigged which is no problem to me, i manage to get a good fit or rigged to fit popular mesh bodies. if you browse most popular weekly sales you'll be hard pushed to find jewellery not rigged to popular mesh bodies
  17. If the alpha hud or trying other body rigs doesn't provide satisfactory results you can always go back to 5.3 short term
  18. I'm almost certain the vendors at Maven give a suggested suitable plot size in addition to the footprint and Li you can use that info to find the best size rental for your needs in the land section
