A long long time ago there was something similar but it didn't use advertising land owners would have voting stations on their land which they could make money from if people clicked on their voting station on any given day depending on the number of times the voting station was clicked would depend on whether and how much L$ they would make. to make money from advertising these days there are ad boards that pay per click (will often have cash out limits) and you have to hope people click it

In this day you really need mesh feet as a minimum upgrade in a choice between Slink and Maitreya feet (the main available standalone feet) i would get Slink as they have the largest range of footwear available and if you ever decide further down the track the Maitreya body is for you the feet are included and will with some adjustments work with system foot shoes. If the official Slink feet are out of your price range and you want fully compatible feet i would recommend you try Similar feet the three most popular foot styles are included for less than the cost of a single Slink style. As to the feet in the eBody they are meant to be Slink compatible however i've used them on an alt with freebie Slink fit shoes and couldn't escape skin poking through For the longest time i was hesitant to get a mesh body needing to go skin shopping was my barrier but so glad i did it knowing what i know now actually wish i'd done it sooner as i also prefer the available clothing options and was also in the no body mod camp i was fine with boob size adjustment anything more was a deal breaker if there wasn't a wearable size which was quite common it would get tossed. I think the hardest body part to shop for is a head and i can understand why people want to stay with their system head if you've spent years being used to your head looking a certain way it's not easy to find a head that perfectly replicates 'you' i've demoed a few heads managed to find one 'me' enough i eventually want to buy

Either the person has a computer powerful enough to run 6 full viewers at once, multiple devices they can log in with, or they use a full viewer for their main and a light weight text viewer for the alts

I almost never stuck it out in SL having spent an eternity trying to come up with a name that wasn't taken my first log in attempts weren't good as nothing was loading i was on my final re-log just about to give up on SL forever i have no idea where i first rezzed but someone recognising i was new IM'd me and passed me some LM's for freebie places which i visited and i spent many days and weeks filling up my inventory and hanging round the sim there were a few places i'd hang in but Trilegy (free land) and latterly/currently having my own (rented) slice of SL to call home has kept me logging in 10 years later

If you want to charge people L$1 to visit your club/videotheque you're free to but if what your offering is worse than what other clubs in SL offer for free don't expect anyone to turn up. You really should offer more than some second rate radio station because anyone can have one playing from the comfort of their own houses & skyboxes

If you are really strapped for L$ a mesh head isn't essential and you can pick up somewhat feature limited versions of both eBody's for L$1 each there's a decent range of clothing made for both bodies and they work will with standard sizing and fit mesh sized clothes the feet are mostly compatible with slink

I take you have shadows enabled? Could you not just turn them off while on your parcel. If you are going to try FS you can save different graphic settings for quick access, save one with your standard settings and one with out shadows

There's no need to go to the lengths of taking everything off de-rendering and going full alpha i find before going to a popular shopping event setting draw distance low and going in to the advanced menu (ctrl + shift + D) and in rendering types unticking avatars or ctrl + alt + shift + 4 which turns off avatar rendering very effective i don't get lagged up i can do a circuit of all the booths noting which ones i'll want to revisit and maybe buy or repeat buy from quite quickly the only problem is if you sit on furniture or use a door on a home/building in a demo area they wont render my only experience of HUD shopping has been with TMP which was enough to put me off HUD based shopping for life. they might be a good idea if you want to avoid a crowded event but i'd rather wait several days up to a week for the sim to calm down enough to browse if i'm staring directly at products in a booth i'm more likely to part with money

Been spending way too much money lately shopping

Many stores have a subscriber device in addition to a group if you're running out of space. The subscribers don't count towards your group count. due to being on group owned land i don't see any point having a group i can't set things out to only group availability. I find if i want to send out a gift or update about something Subscribe-o-matic works out very well. coming from the days of a 15-20 group limit i'm more inclined to join subscriber lists unless i need to join a group or it's a store i like that does really good group only freebies or discounts

I think i'm seeing this on the diagonally neighbouring sim Nari in Jeogeot i can be on my plot and Nari wont show up and will sometimes look offline on mini map but if i wander just over in to the sim it'll suddenly appear edit: Nari runs Bluesteel and i noticed shortly after i got the sim to show up it blanked out again
