  1. Your virtue signalling has been noted. Now run along and continue with your day.
  2. Hello, I am very happy with my new Snow Rabbit upgrade.
  3. I have a folder in my browser containing links to all the weekend/weekly sales shown on Seraphim. I'm not in any of the SL groups as they eat into precious group spaces. Anyway, if creators or sellers don't like the L$75 ceiling set by The Saturday Sales group then stop participating. Equally, if I don't like any increases I will stop participating. With inflation across the world circa 10% and declining, a 30% increase of The Saturday Sales limit (which 99.99% of sellers do/will employ) will just become the new normal. Chances are it will be goodbye Saturday Sales. It's not about the L$, more to do with principle. Message to the participating sellers: Begin a new weekend group if none of the current ones are to your liking.
  4. Just show me the freebies 😁
  5. I don't know of such a script, but this is what I do .. In the folder of the clothing item I may want alternative colours of I create a new folder. Copy the clothing item into that folder and then set the colour I want, renaming the folder accordingly. I repeat this for any alternatives. No further need for the HUD unless I want to repeat the process for a new colour/pattern. Then, when wearing an outfit the colours are already what I want and the outfit includes the colour in its name for easy selection.
  6. My first thought is that BoM layers are not in the correct order. In Appearance - Outfits .. If you click the wrench in the top right you can up/down the BoM layers to get them in the correct order. I always have the neck blend higher than the face skin and body skin. Just as you would place BoM cosmetics higher than the face skin etc..
  7. I can hear the squeak of freshly shaved and bleached anuses from here. Step - 2 - 3 - Lift - 2 - 3 - Dip - 2 - 3 Clench 2 - 3.
  8. One person's incongruous font is another person's pin-head. Perhaps there's a correlation.
  9. To the two responders above. How do you know?
  10. It's too much to type out so I'll just call it 'it'. It's just another tedious time on the SL calendar where everything is black and/or orange and/or bloody - yawn. It probably WILL last a month and we can now add another two months as someone's started talking about it already. Then it'll be straight onto that other one where everything is red or green, but at least that green is a better green than leprechaun green for potatoes, or whatever that's about. Not sure which I dislike most. Probably that other time when everything has the confederate flag all over it, or stars and stripes or whatever it is. Then there's that thing with eggs and rabbits. I don't mind snowmen and candy canes though. Such a waste of freebies and you can guarantee there'll be little of interest on 7DS, FLF, K69, SS, WW, HW, 35LS or SKS. Not much of the year left after that lot's taken it's toll. I hate themes. JayZUS. p.s. shoulda posted this in the pet peeve thread.
  11. Well done. Imagine if everyone who's ever done a good deed started a new thread.
  12. I find a post reaction useful for the fact that I don't visit this forum every day or particularly often in general and it can move fast. A notification at the top is a simple and easy click to take me back to a previous topic involvement which I'd perhaps forgotten about and can carry on reading. I very much dislike notifications of any kind unless I've chosen to open that particular program or application. I've never 'watched' a topic or had anything ever sent to any email address. I have zero friends on my friends list. If they end up on there it's not for long, maybe a week tops. SL people fade away quickly. I just don't like being bothered if I'm doing something else. If I want to be bothered or bother someone else then I'll go somewhere where bothering each other is the reason why you're there and you make yourself available for bothering. My hermititus has grown over the past few years as it's been too easy with no excuses required to avoid people. Even my cat's learned to look up at me from the floor first before automatically jumping up and getting in the way of my peripherals.
  13. Yes. Can't beat realism, wherever possible. Nothing more sensual than air-typing while getting it in the rump like a doggy. Sir Isaac Newton might be scratching his apple juiced head as to why my chin hadn't hit the ground. SL, Isaac, this is SL. A land where people attain sexual gratification by taking it in turns to air-type at each other. Get a life, man!
  14. As far as I'm concerned posters should own their posts. One hour is more than enough time and even that is being overly generous. Think before you speak or, in this case, before you post. If, for any reason, someone has posters-regret after making a post then there's a lesson right there for jumping in too fast trying to be the first to show everyone else how clever or witty they think your are. Poster's-regret is most likely always on contentious topics. One hour is plenty. Otherwise - tough luck. What irks me most is not having just 5 minutes to edit a fresh post to correct grammar, a spelling mistake or a simple layout issue which hid itself until it was committed to the topic - Without it stating 'edited by whoever' as a footnote. As others have suggested, if adding to an informative post because you forgot something or made an error then simply post the addition or correction, plus quoting your previous post for clarity, if required. In a nutshell: Own it. Own your mistakes. Own your over hastiness.
  15. I understand and agree. I commonly employ the Find Original search as I want the one the outfit links to. With a fatpack item where it's likely that over time different variations of the same item will be created from the HUD options I'll create a new folder with a copy of the original in each folder, then rename the folder accordingly. Such as shoes; white-tan-silver, onyx-black-gold, depending on HUD options available. Some clothing item folders can end up having many inner folders containing numerous and various combinations. Naturally outfit links will point at the suitable different item for the outfit. Being able to RENAME items even if they are no modify, or the sort where you can mod but not rename, would be really nice to avoid having numerous folders containing single same-named items. Such is SLife. I recall this subject being raised a few months ago within another topic. I really like the concept of outfits. A click to remove unwanted items and add everything required for a different look is very convenient. I even have different copies of the Maitreya body in flat, medium and high versions to cover the variations so I don't need the HUD active at all times.
  16. I am a Firestorm user so I can only comment regarding that viewer. 'Replace Links' is an extremely useful tool. There was a time many years ago when I was aware of the function but for the life of me could not figure out how to use it because (in my simple mind) it didn't seem intuitive. One day (years ago now) I stumbled across how to do it and it has become an absolute godsend as I create way too many outfits. I use it precisely for the reason you stated above, updating an AO used in every outfit. Or, if I've acquired new eyes and I want every saved outfit to be updated, or a new mesh body or head version etc.. Briefly, what had always foxed me about this procedure was that you right-click on the item you wish the link to be changed - select Replace Links. Then the Replace Inventory Links window pops up containing the name of the OLD item. The NEW is empty and waiting for you to select it. The NEW item must be DRAGGED into the Replace Inventory Links -NEW section. Then click Start. Depending on how many occurrences of it exist you may wish to go and put the kettle on. When I update a newly scripted AO (which exists commonly across all Outfits as my walking/running/sitting AO - I use Firestorm's AO in addition for stands) I locate it and next to it have already created another folder called 'OLD' (in the same folder as the AO). In a sandbox I drag the current AO to the ground and before anything else I also move that current AO into the OLD inventory folder next to it. Then I update the grounded AO and click 'Take' and re-appears where the original one was. If I hadn't moved the original AO into the OLD folder there would be two sitting there with exactly the same name (assuming the AO is copyable). This avoids the rigmarole of guessing which is which. Then I perform the Replace Links using the original version from within the OLD folder with the new one which has taken its place. Some of these processes are straight-forward and easy to do, just less easy to describe. I hope I didn't put you all to sleep or teach you how to suck eggs.
  17. Admittedly not that often, but I do sometimes deliberately create a link as opposed to just copying an original item. This happens in cases where an outfit may include a separate necktie, garter, pair of socks etc.. Subsequently my neckties, legs-garters-straps, legs-socks-stockings sections will contain a link to the original. Whether it saves even one grain of sand's worth of space somewhere I have no idea, but the theory of doing so satisfies my mind. Outfits are just a folder full of links with front-end. By design it doesn't copy all outfit items used into another folder with the name of your outfit. So maybe there's something in the concept. On the other hand, renaming folders to remove useless information such as; '<add to wear>', 'belleza, kupra, ebody, reborn, slink. TMP', (unpacked), (Add Me!) etc. must save space somewhere. Whether it does, or not, it looks tidier. Same as link instead of copy.
  18. On occasions I've found myself unable to buy an item or collect a gift. It turns out on those occasions I'd had the store owner blocked, or muted, following spammy IMs most likely from a subscriber group which I either didn't subscribe to or was unable to unsubscribe from. The most recent time this happened was at SL19B when clicking on a store's event gift nothing happened. It transpired I had the store owner blocked. I must've clicked 'Mute Sender' on a repetitive IM. I unblocked them and clicked the gift again only to receive a message informing me that only one gift per user and I'd already received mine, but I hadn't. I sent a pleasant notecard to the store owner but heard nothing back. Oh well. All my other avatars picked it up but I checked for a block first. In my earlier years in SL it always confused me regarding the difference between block and mute. Press Mute Sender or right-click to block an avatar they all end up on your blocked list. Semantics, perhaps, but I wish they'd make it clear by using only one form of terminology. I recall in the past spending ages trying to locate my 'muted list'. Looking at a Blocked list for one of my avatars it looks like the bulk of those blocked are for groups.
  19. Naria Panthar has an SL place on Discord - here. I watch her YT channel but not part of her Discord. I don't personally go there as I have no interest in the bulk of media platforms. I recognise names such as Discord, TikTok, Instagram, Flickr and others but I've never participated as I'm not interested in inviting nonsense into my life.
  20. The 'Invision Community' forum software is commonplace for fora out on the interwebs and THIS is the only IC forum I know which does not employ the 'Ignore Topic' feature. What I do not know is if is a paid-for extension to the forum. I suspect that it is. On other fora I do ignore certain topics not pertaining to the overall subject of a forum, such as politics, Covid etc.. on a sports forum. My shortcut to this forum is for a 'View New Content' link in which I have weeded out some of, in my opinion, irritating areas of contribution. For example; the Events section where someone posts an almost daily topic in CAPITALS about some LION CLUB or something. I got rid of that spam-like contribution a few weeks ago. My view new content has been cleansed. I don't want to be exposed to absolutely everything on this or any other forum. Being exposed to every contributor is part and parcel of forum life. If you block an individual then it doesn't make them disappear, the system subsequently reminds you of the fact that you've blocked them by offering an option each time to view what they posted anyway. This is more of a distraction than actually not ignoring them in the first place. I only ever visit THIS forum when I have an issue or opinion or simply fancy reading what's currently on people's minds in SL. I do not visit for off-topic banter. The recent changes will not impact me in the slightest.
  21. One of the worst things about THIS forum is that in order to participate you MUST use an actual SL avatar user account to do so. That in turn threatens your ability to log in to the SL world itself if you fall foul of any forum rules. They are one and the same. What this results in is people potentially feeling the need to tip-toe around words and/or descriptions used within this forum and feeling gagged in how any subject which may fall within this topic can be described. Nobody has actually stated categorically what they are talking about without using cryptic means. Much of this topic I do not understand. I often wonder how many people use a throw-away SL account in order to participate more freely on this forum versus those using an account which has many years and lindens worth of investment. If you are the latter then your freedom of speech is definitely hindered.
