  1. I cannot remember the last time I crashed .. .. which wasn't in or around a teleportation. All these years and I still mentally cross my digits when teleporting.
  2. Your first few sentences are exactly the same for me. During Covid I was saving while hardly spending any money and knew exactly what I was waiting for once supply chains returned to some semblance of normality. When it eventually became available in my area I snapped it up. It can run 3 concurrent SL logins with ease (I have 3x screens) but I wanted these specs primarily for Cities:Skylines, which can be very processor hungry, knowing that it'd be fine for SL also. Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16 - LAPTOP • Intel Core i9-12900H • 32GB (16GBx2) DDR5 4800MHz • 2x 1TB PCIe/NVMe M.2 2280 • 15.6" WQXGA IPS Anti-Glare 165Hz • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6 • Windows 11 Home + Plus 32' 4k LG-Monitor-32gp850 Prior to that I had an ASUS laptop which could easily run concurrent SL logins too, but struggled with advanced Cities:Skylines. ASUS ROG GL703GM • Intel i7-8750H • 16GB DDR4 • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 1060 6GB GDDR5 • Windows 10 As far as SL goes anything with dedicated graphics 6GB VRAM or more will be fine. Just get the best your finances can allow but that can depend upon how important your computer/laptop is to you. For me it is high priority and deserves a high end spend.
  3. There lies my problem .. I wasn't wearing the 'Senra Blake - nails - natural#', or any other. Only the body. What I was seeing must've been some sort of nail base associated with the body. Explains everything. Very thoughtful and kind to go the trouble of setting out the steps in image form so thickies like me can understand, even though I'd already failed at the start line well before the first hurdle.
  4. Senra - I tried, persevered, but I bailed. It was the nails that broke the camels back, they looked like sh1t. However, the good news is that it got me actively trying to improve my male alt which had classic head and body. He now has the LeLutka Alain (free) head plus Sweet's Male BoM Bento Mesh Body, which was already sat gathering dust in my inventory. Nails back to normal, no jazz hands, expressions and body/head now fully meshed-up. Thanks Senra, for the nudge.
  5. I dropped the Blake head and went with the LeLutka Alain freebie (from a while back), so that's the expressions sorted and overall a much better head. I did try to extract some expression anims initially from the Lelutka HUD but it wouldn't rez in a sandbox on the ground, it immediately disappeared then never reappeared on subsequent attempts. I guess being rezzable is somehow locked-out to prevent such pilfering of HUD parts. Now with the Alain head in place expressions are no longer an issue. Re: tinting the nails on the Senra Body - I tried editing the Senra Body while wearing it and the whole body changes colour. How do you target the nails only? .. I'm guessing this is an edit feature I have yet to learn.
  6. Does anyone know how to change the colour of the finger nails on a Senra body? .. The ones on my male alt are a dull grey colour and that is not part of the BoM skin used, nor the main skin worn beneath. If I remove the Senra Body those nails disappear. Also, any ideas for some facial expressions? .. He looks numb in the head. I tried to extract from the free LeLutka Alain head HUD I have but it couldn't be rezzed and doesn't work without the Alain head attached. It's all about sacrifices and balance. Jazz hands and crap feet with the classic, but facial expressions. Or, bento hands, better feet, dead pan expression and grey fingernails. I'm beginning to lose the hope I'd gathered with the Senra and may revert back to basic classic. If all else fails I'll dump the Senra Blake head and see how Alain and Blake mesh body fit together. I just want him to smile or grimace without jazz hands and girly grey fingernails. There's always something.
  7. Not always easy to know which threads to keep put of until it's too late. It's as if I'm reading a foreign language and I head to Google for help. NPC, GTFO, GTAV, LGHDTV. Seriously.. WTF!
  8. I agree completely. With the addition of Firestorm's built-in AO a couple of pose sets (sitting, standing etc.) can be easily created by adding specific poses/animations you have collected. As with many things poses are very much subjective, so the only way to obtain specific ones you favour are to try them out. There are zillions of free poses on the marketplace, just search 'poses' priced from 0 to 0.
  9. I wish I could say that I understood what an 'impostor' is, but I have no idea. I was lost at the title.
  10. I've upgraded one of my classic body male alts to the Senra body and head and I really like it. My original shape clearly needed adjusting but I find that a straight-forward process. However, all the original classic clothing, alphas, eyes, BoM layers etc. were used over the Senra head and body. Nothing else used from the Senra folder besides head and body. What I'm most happy about is that I don't have to deal with jazz hands any more on many of the furnitures as I did with the classic body, and the feet are far less appalling. So for me it's all good. A definite improvement. I am surprisingly pleased. It's a positive step forward. As for brand new players to SL I think the old avatars are probably a better starting place as they just generally look better straight away. But for more established players the Senra body and/or head could have positive uses, as they did for me.
  11. This has happened to me a lot recently, perhaps for several weeks. I just press Refresh and the 'Buy' button appears. Oh dear, I saw what I wanted to see without reading fully, sorry. I was referring to marketplace when buying something. The Alprazolam hasn't worn off yet.
  12. I'd forgotten there'd been an ordered change to forum behaviour. All I know is I am visiting more and posting more than before. Everything has its downsides 😬
  13. You could try this 'Below the Knee Extender'. Costs a whopping zero linden. The perfect gift for those with stumpy legs. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/SS-Below-The-Knee-Extender-Gift/17976712
  14. I like 'big' hair sometimes but there's something about all the above. Makes me wanna turn 'em upside down, dip 'em in a bucket, and mop the floor. If you want some super-realistic hair go have a look at Ali&Ali Designs - here - Tip: Search 'oldest' first.
  15. I got the demo for that from Tram several weeks ago and I'm a gnat's c0ck away from pulling the trigger. It's luverly.
  16. I love hair and already have far too many, but I get tired of the 'just left the salon' look. I'm always on the lookout for more of the 'just got up after some rigorous slesh' look would be nice for a change. Although sometimes lovely, Doux (dux, doox, dew) can go dew themselves as no hair is worth the money they charge, although I dew have a couple of their freebies from events or something. They are a brand I ignore dew to them pricing themselves too high in the belief that they are superior to all others. They can go dew themselves.
  17. Without being rude, is THAT a LeLutka mesh head? Try wearing the supplied shape as well.
  18. I'm not saying this happens every time because I don't pay that much attention, but I have taken off a BoM layer which was saved in the outfit then subsequently re-added it and has not gone to the top of the list, rather it went back to whence it came. If that makes sense.
  19. Maybe there is a double-posting glitch when posting on these big pic threads. It happens multiple times.
  20. Firestorm Cliff Notes: - I wish Outfits had sub-folders. - I wish 'Edit Shape' had not dropped to a second level menu item when right-clicking my avatar. Ridiculous and totally unnecessary change for the latest version. Upon acquiring a new head I settle on my head shape fairly early and rarely tweak it further down the line, but my body is under a regular state of minor tweaking depending on outfit. Each persona has a short shape version (under 5') and a more normal height version (over 5'). Each with a slim, normal and curvy version. This creates many versions for different situations and scenarios. p.s. BelindaN (above) - Your forum avatar pic is gorgeous! - hence my like.
  21. That looks exactly the same as this on another thread -
  22. Emma ^^, this is absolutely intended as a positive critique on an otherwise lovely avatar. Your hands are way too small and your arms are too short. In RL, if someone stands up straight with their arms down by their sides with fingers straight, the fingertips reach around mid-thigh. I see this constantly within SL, so apologies for picking on you. it is not personal and I hope you take in the way it was intended. But, after all, your body, your choice.
  23. Personally I think MP should NEVER return demos in searches. If they do then they can be easily reported for removal. The real item is the only place a link to a demo should exist. With the potential to list 96 items per page on both the Favourites and Wishlist items I find it staggering that people would have that many listed that finding something would be that difficult. For me the worst job is finding new things to replace the items in the wishlist people have bought for me without appearing overly greedy. All my avatars garner attention as being unusually cute can be both a blessing and a curse. Such is SLife.
