    So many 'Poses' stores exist these days and I often buy breathing anims and set up the AOs myself using both a basic AO plus Firestorm's AO as I much prefer calm avatar movements. With reference to Profaitchikenz Haiku's post above, I still remain a little stunned that nobody is creating 'ARMS poses' to go along with many of the minimal movement breathing stands and/or poses. Arm poses much in the vein of Vista Anmations' ARMS poses. I really liked that you can cross arms, interlock fingers etc. over whatever other anim is running. Sadly that experience was in a past life. I cannot justify spending around 2k lindens just for some arm poses these days when the rest of their sets is nothing close to what I want. Vista's ARM poses cannot be purchased individually. I've collected a few arm anims over the years from bag-holding when attaching an item and it animates me holding the bag, but they're not really useable. I wish I was capable of creating such arm animations.

    I gather this is supposed to be pronounced similar to famished (hungry) as it's got the word 'mesh' in it, but when I say it in my mind I always say it two words - fame shed. I've never said it out loud as it never enters an RL conversation, much like the whole of SL as if it's some sort of dirty embarrassing secret. Nothing to do with this thread, just letting it out. I have 5 female avatars and they all have Maitreya bodies. On a previous post somewhere in this forum (about alts, I think) I said I had four, which was true at the time. But I couldn't help myself and started another. I tried some of the trendy bodies (Kupra and Reborn) but I simply did not like them because the thighs and butt were so cartoon-like. No disrespect to anyone who has one but I thought they looked terrible and they're most definitely not me. I'd never buy Legacy or have anything to do with them. I attempt some semblance of realism with my avatars and Maitreya allows me to get the closest. Add to that it is quite rare for clothing/shoes not to include Maitreya. My most recent fem ava has already amassed a large wardrobe with luckies, frees, gifts and some paid-for group joins. She felt well established after only a few days. ALL mentions of any other body fittings in clothing or shoe folders are deleted immediately upon unpacking, along with all other superfluous junk. I use to cling to other fittings just in case, but after all this time I'd never needed them. Can always try a re-delivery if needs must, but I doubt I'd ever need to. Keeps the inventory trim.

    I have several female avis which all use Maitreya bodies and all fall around the low to mid 5 foot range as that's where I am in RL. I find I achieve better shapes at these heights also. I've tried taller but it just doesn't look right. From time to time I like to get jiggy but the pool of potential partners is instantly limited due to the unrealistic heights of many males which are taller than me. If the top of my head doesn't reach their shoulders then I'd be running the risk of falling foul of the self-appointed height police and potentially be accused of being child-like, which I'm not. So I don't.

    When I'm in SL everything is how I see it in-world. I immerse as my version of me. Besides the waste of space that are those mesh animal attachments if an actual animal avatar, such as a dog, sniffs me I may "/me pats his head and scratches behind his ears". If he talks I move along. Dogs don't talk in any universe I ever occupy. I'm not Miss Dolittle. If a dog can be led along and taken for walkies with the occasional "woof" then that's fine. When it comes to furries I just don't geddit. I'd never be one. I talk to humans only, especially men who portray themselves as being older than your average 97.8% of fit and hunky types. Yes, fussy means less but I like and enjoy my own company.

    Pet Peeves .. Next > Passion killer. Pulling stupid faces while getting humped. I have several avatars with current LeLutka heads and they all do the same thing when getting bouncy with a partner during animations. I try to turn off 'FACES' within the Adjust menu but more often than not it is set to Owner Only. Within the head HUD there is an option to toggle the external 'Trigger' on/off but it never works. I sometimes wish I had an early version mesh head which didn't move at all.

    Besides preferring the 3070ti version of the above that Lenovo Legion 5i is exactly what I want. My current laptop is a ASUS ROG Strix GL703 i7-8750H 1060ti 16GB and I want something to last me the next 3 years minimum so I don't mind paying for specs beyond my current needs. Sadly availability is currently non-existent in my part of the world and there is a Lenovo dealership nearby plus numerous other outlets. I don't play any games other than SL** and Cities:Skylines (and slither.io) and these are both relics in the gaming world and focus on single processor performance. When I watch reviews I generally don't pay much attention to other game FPS because that's irrelevant regarding the games I play. Tend to focus more on other benchmarks and opinions towards content creators, even though I'm not one. I've been putting money aside for the past few years for a new laptop and have made my decision over the past few months following YouTube reviews among several channels.     I have 4 female avatars and one male. No group, no land, no scripting reasons involved. All free accounts but I spend quite significant money within this world shopping. The male is styled as a rugged mature man of around 50 years of age. The girls are all styled in their twenties. The girl numbers increased gradually over several years when I felt the urge to purchase a new head or body. To me having numerous bento heads or bento bodies for the same avatar seemed to make little sense so I created a new avatar for the change/upgrade. Mainly for the head, they all ended up with Maitreya bodies in the end. Four is enough for me to handle now. From time to time I switch my focus from one to another and stick with her for quite a while until something makes me log into another one and I then end up sticking with her and get her upgraded with improved wardrobe and hairs and skins etc.. The cycle continues as I rotate around them over several weeks or months each at a time. Once in a blue moon I see a must-have item so they all get it. I don't tend to socialise much in SL but I quite like some of the interactions between avatars such as dancing or having sex. This is where the male steps in. Sometimes he sits with me as a defensive strategy. Other times I create a scenario in my mind and get quite immersed in it with him. My little fantasies. I have subtle needs which I haven't discovered so far in anyone else within SL.

    Redelivery of a gifted item. Seems the only way is to contact the seller if they do not have an in-world store. Just hope that seller is personally available, logs on from time to time and doesn't miss or ignore the notecard.

    It seems my world will be one 'pet peeve' less than it used to be. A decade+ in SL and I continue to learn new things. I will give this a try next logon. Thank you.

    It just happened again! When you've been out collecting items .. freebies, event items, a few lucky board wins and everything is nicely listed in your 'Recent' view. Then .. poof! .. session ends abruptly, for whatever reason. Where are all my items? .. They're in that 60k+ inventory somewhere. Can you remember what they were all called so you can search them out? .. No.

    Leg and feet decoration/items always catch my eye, but these squishy thighs are not for me. Which is just as well as I always use Maitreya. If anything I seek the opposite in toned, form, athletic legs. Subtlety is not easy to find in SL. Either leg tone for females is barely perceptible or it's a massive leg steroid workout. As a female I have a few male skins in my armoury because I really like toned legs. Mudskin have nice ones although they are flat-chested, but as I'm covering the top half it doesn't matter. I wish there was a way to split full body BoM skins between upper and lower.

    I've often found if I do a lot of animation changes, such as a series of dance moves or working through lists of anims finding preferred ones, my Maitreya body can become deformed. By deformed I mean that I've developed a tilt at the waist of about 20° and my shoulders have expanded outwards by around 20%. All the 'Health' options within Firestorm won't fix this. I have to relog and it's fixed. Sadly I just consider it part of SL life. Just relog and get on with it again.

    I've been in SL far longer than this avatar's history may suggest. In over a decade I rented a small sky home for a week once and although it was ok I didn't feel the need to continue renting beyond that. Apart from that every linden ever purchased has gone on my avatars, not land or furniture etc.. There are many sandboxes around and it's just a case of finding a few where you don't get bothered by trolls or disruptive people. You can always hop over to another if a problem avatar messes with you so it's good to have a few options. I place LM shortcuts to mine on the top bar in Firestorm so I can move quickly if I need to, also useful when a security orb gives you an ejection warning from an old landmark. The regulars at these places get to know you and leave you alone, or become chatty and can share gift ideas and tips etc.. Some stores have rez areas and tend to be quiet.

    .. While I'm at it, my next peeve is when trying to buy a single colour item at a store offering numerous colour options. 1. Wearing demo. 2. Chosen colour selected from HUD colour options. 3. Now looking at the display of colours on the wall and trying to decipher which colour is the one I've chosen in the fatpack demo HUD. ~ Please, store owners, match the display order in-store with that of the fatpack colour HUD. Please help us buy from you. Remember, there are a few colour-blind people in the world who struggle to tell the difference between blush pink, soft pink, pale pink, light pink, baby pink etc. when comparing nameless colours in a HUD to a shelf or wall display of very closely coloured items. I bought dark navy blue shoes once thinking they were black.

    Yea, I often rename things in inventory and use symbols at the beginning to get preferred items things to appear at the top of lists, but those group names are out of reach for renaming. Don't ask me about items which cannot be renamed, a folder has to be created for each of those. Just having the current active group appear at the top of the group list would be a major step forward. It's often the 'little things' which grind the most.

    TP over to an event. Join the group. Grab the gifts. Leave the group. When one of my alts has done the work and I know already the few gifts I want, of those 4 tasks the first 3 often take the same time as the final one, leaving the group. I use Firestorm. Why are so many group names not in alphabetical order. So many start with . , ! ~ or multiples of. Why can't firestorm ignore those characters and list he groups in order of the first proper letter or, better still, show the current active group at the top of the list either above or below 'None'. ,.!~** << that stuff niggles me in alphabetical lists 😬

    This happens a lot for me with Ayashi and Limerence hairs, which is a shame as they're good for avoiding eyelash glitches with their designs. Always best to try demos before parting with your hard earned Lindens. When this happens I often wonder which head and what basic shape/size it was the creator used as their guide. Same with bento animation creators, their models ought to wear blimp suits or at least inflatable arm bands on their wrists and upper arms to help avoid disappearing hands. If it's not hair inside your ear'oles or disappearing eyelashes and brows it's anims resulting in disappearing hands while your butt sticks through your dress when you're seated, all while wondering if the next person who you eventually rez for will report you for being a 5'11" child. The trials and tribulations of being an SL perfectionist with borderline OCPD 😇 Wear headphones. That's what I do with one of my Ayashi hairs which has a nice ponytail.
