  1. Forget the mostly worthless tutorials... You get that when you have been a paid up member for 45 days... You create a 'Landmark', usually the easiest way to do that is to click the little star icon in the locatin bar at the top of the viewer. Once you have made a landmark, it can be found in your landmarks folder in your inventory, and you can use it to teleport to your house, there is also the option to 'set home location' and then clicking the 'home' button takes you to that location. Blender and Gimp, but that is advanced stuff for a new account... Items in SL have a set of "permissions", Copy / Mod / Trans... You can sell items that are Trans, including breedables and spare gacha.
  2. It's even funnier when people accidentally post their Para-Erotic-RP wall of text into a group chat for a shopping group with 90,000+ members...
  3. 'Laughs' count as rep points, which is why I don't use the 'laugh' button to comment on posts of Weapons Grade Stupidity. Yeah, people stop repping your posts when you repeatedly disagree with them. But far worse are the hardcore drama trolls who go around publicly telling people "I have added you to my ignore" list, and then repeatedly tell others that they have ignored you, those people are ALWAYS worthless forum trash. Their whole "ignore list' announcement is a deliberate veiled insult, a 'naming and shaming you' drama fest intended to make you angry. Personally I don't give a rats backside, I always regard it as proof that I've targeted the right class of bloody idiot, when they ignore me like that. That was about when he made a gratuitous public insult in a post, and when others called him on it, edited his post to add a personal apology in brackets, after the insult... ...To a named forum moderator... Apparently adding an apology to a moderator to your rule breaking post, makes it ok to break forum rules... And where does it say that we can't be "fun and silly" about things that are real?
  4. That's why you go as a rubber coated Sith in a re-breather mask... To seal your self against the Evil of Everyone Else...
  5. A four year old thread resurrected by a necropost... Forget Sim memory, it's nowhere near the problem it used to be 6-8 years ago. Forget "Script Memory" as ditto... Certainly forget the SL-Fossil gibberish "How much does mesh lag", as that was based on an assumption in days of yore by Viewer 1 using idiots, that "mesh is of the devil". Forget also the "IMO lag is poor people" BS also. You want a low lag sim... 1. Keep total script count as low as you can 2. NEVER use pathfinding 3. Keep physical set objects on the sim as few as possible 4. Avoid media on a prim and external web databases for your objects where you can to reduce html requests 5. Eliminate as much alpha blend from the build as you can 6. Try and avoid the "too many small overtextured useless items" thing caused by the foolish search for "imersiveness" in RP sims, kitchens in houses do not NEED 20 non functional "Le Cretinset" cooking pans on a rack, each one with it's own slightly different 1024 x 1024 baked texture 7. Never use scripted persistant temp-re-rezzers 8. Don't try to get 50+ avatars on your parcel at once, it's not big and it's not clever.
  6. I, on the other hand can tel you that there's this guy who sells an electric Chair, in SL, in two flavours, one's just the chair, the other is a LUCKY chair...
  7. I don't want to even begin to imagine what a packed Zindra Infohub filled with noobs in fugly-tech avis, spampires, and yiff-obsessed 10 year old sculpty fursonas would smell like...
  8. The best comedy duo's tend to have a "straight man" and a "fall guy"... Which one of you is going to be which ?
  9. Be careful what you wish for... Phearsom Phorum Phil decided to publicly ignore me when MY rep overtook his, the idea that I had more rep points in 8 months and 800 posts than he had in 8 years and 8000 posts just pushed him over the edge. Who will become your sworn forum-enemy when you have all these new rep points? PS. 207 now...
  10. !... I once wore some denim clothing.. It was on a new account, for about 15 mins while I found some decent clothing made from normal materials like latex and leather... But it was still denim...
  11. ...Be lucky if that thread made it past page 1...
  12. Remind us users of "Sucker's Life" why we would WANT to help you resolve your login issues... You aspire to become an over-rated hack who fraudulently claimed to have originated ideas he borrowed from others? Hah... ... Also... Windows 8 installs don't get 'deactivated' because they are old... They get deactivated because they are thought to be pirated, because they didn't pass the automated software product key validation... ... So... Redirecting your logins via another country to conceal the location of a possibly pirated OS, that you intend to use to "loot" SL inhabitants and destroy SL by the year 2027... Remind us again why the hell we'd WANT to help you log in?
  13. Hmmm, having spent more than 7 years creating and promoting the Social divide between Lastnamers and Residents, they now plan to make a cashcow out of it, to finance Project Stupid in glorious Vomit-Cam-Vision... Sounds like an LL sort of plan...
  14. Somebody who finds neither Mice nor Men even remotely attractive? ... Sappho's Sexual Preference
  15. Nah... The brickwork texture is rather over sized... "Stupidly Scaled Patterns"
  16. That happens when you get tired of more than 40 years of Euro-Federalist lies, and blatant and frequent attempts to destroy your country's culture and economy, while bleeding you dry with taxes to subsidise French farmers... I'd have preferred it if we'd exited and used Trident... ...to GLASS the Euro-Federalist headquarters, but apparently you're not allowed to declare war on your enemies any more...
  17. They added more inventory options for searching and filtering in R12... Personally, I don't need any of the new inventory features, but then again, my inv isn't an ungodly mess like a lot of peoples.
  18. In the Roman sense, a "Dictator" was simply a member of the Senate chosen by the Senate to bypass a severe problem with the laws concerning the Roman Military, during the Republican Era... Generals (Senators) were only allowed to command Armies consisting of TWO Roman Legions and TWO Allied Italian Legions (if available), but Dirty Foreigners (tm) were under NO such limitations, and could have armies that were much much bigger, forcing Rome to send MULTIPLE small armies, whose commanders would argue about who's turn it was to be in charge on a particular day of the week. No... That's not a joke, they really did that, and lost battles because todays general threw away the advantages gained by yesterdays general. Bloody Stupid. A "Roman Dictator" could command as many troops as he could raise, and appoint a 2IC as well with similar powers... ... In the MODERN sense, yeah Bonaparte was a Dictator, just like the Austrian House Painter... Nobody ELECTED him, he siezed power by force, implemented his own agenda, with NO regard for anyone, handed out "party favours" to family/friends/sycophants, such as "King of Spain", etc. He wanted a UNIFIED Europe, under French rule, with a single culture, basically a "Greater France", as opposed to the House Painter's "Greater Germany". And to get that, he was willing to conscript and send to their deaths, an entire generation of Frenchmen. Some numbers... Britain had a TOTAL Army strength of about 345,000, and a Navy of 140,000. At one point in the Peninsular War, Bonaparte had 350,000 troops in Spain alone, plus occupation forces elsewhere. He spent 1/3rd of the money he got from the United Rebel Colonies for the sale of Louisiana raising 160,000 MORE troops for the "Army of England" that was intended to invade Britain, but which never did (THANK YOU Royal Navy!), and who probably got reassigned for use elsewhere. in 1815, after spilling an ocean of blood, he decided to come back, and raised 125,000 veterans for the "Grand Army of the North" to start the whole thing over again... ... Shortly before his death, there were plots to liberate him from his prison, and allow him to start up YET again, in South America. Oh... FYI, he didn't die on Elba, but on St. Helena, a poxy little nothing of a place in the Atlantic, far from anywhere. Elbe is where he escaped from to cause the Belgian/German slaughter-fest campaign of the "100 days". And finally, his horse (or whats left of it) is in the National Army Museum, in Chelsea, London...
  19. That would be "DOWN there with the Lab"... There's a reason why most people who move away from the Official SL inferiority Viewer to try a TPV, never go back. Part of that reason is the insistence on "bug of the week" builds release strategy. Monday you get THIS weeks bug-of-the-week build, Wednesday you get the Emergency Hot Fix update to LAST weeks bug-of-the-week build, Friday you get the ACTUAL WORKING fix to LAST MONTHS bug-of-the-week build... And then one of the dozens of "project viewers" kicks in and it's poorly conceived addition gets inserted with a digital crowbar... Go check the latest Animesh thread, where TPV devs TOLD the Lab that they fubared the FPS, and see who's UP there, and who is DOWN there.
  20. " Hi! Welcome to my sim... I make poorly concieved IP-scanning laggy annoying arse-ware! Please enable all the things you ALWAYS DISABLE to experience my arse-ware fully! " ... Yeah, signs. This reminds me of the time when some less-than-talented sim manageress, suggested that the greeter staff at a social hangout should be replaced with MoP signboards, and was really put out when we all pointed out that a) most of the visitors wouldn't be able to see the damn MoP, and b) most would run past the MoP before it had rezzed /loaded etc., anyway. ... See it in perspective... If YOU visited somebody else's sim, and were welcomed by a sign that said "I'm NOT a griefer... Please DISABLE your Anti-griefer settings NOW, because *I* am an ARTISTE... With that supercool E on the end...", how would you react?
  21. Throw the Telehub away, it's an obsolete piece of crap, it's 2018 not 2008... You have two parcels... In the About Land panel for each parcel, you will find an option to set a fixed landing point for the parcel, set the LP for the rental area somewhere in the rental area, set the LP for the beach area to the same spot in the rental area... People with the beach area's group, *should* be able to TP in normally, people who don't have that tag, won't, they will end up on the rental area.
  22. Oddly, in the last 6 !/2 years, the WORST examples of "jiggling jello" were ALL system-avi's... Usually with awful physics that made them look like a Model T Ford pickup truck, that hadn't had a service in 80 years, with the engine left running... *shudder wobble shake* And yet you made a blatant and utterly fraudulent 'anti mesh' statement, quoted above... And apparently you need lessons in basic shopping too... And possibly an enforced trip into a city, amongst "urbanites" so you can see that everyone who doesn't live in a middle class suburb, does NOT look like...
  23. MY first script in SL, grabbed the vector for the sun position in SL, and checked if the z axis was positive or negative so as to work out if it was sim-day or sim-night, so as to automagically turn a light on and off... I did learn from the experience, I learned that LSL worked NOTHING like ANY of the programming or scripting languages I had learned before despite "appearing to use similar syntax to..." several of them. Telling people that they can learn LSL in 8-10 hours by watching Spew-Tube videos for non LSL languages, is an example of WEAPONS GRADE STUPIDITY. In addition if you learned NOTHING from your first script, you weren't paying attention, you should at least have learned how to debug a LSL script using the unhelpful in world script editor... Also, I'd be more impressed if you had mastered the 8-10 minute tutorial on quoting other peoples posts, and adding your replies, rather than making a pigs ear of it and producing some trash that says I wrote your reply...
  24. MY EYES!... My eyes are meltinnnnnnnnnggggggggggg....
  25. Unlikely... The hike in the LI of proms when you apply materials to them was deliberate, using materials forces the prms to be treated like mesh... As an example... 128 x 128 x 0.5 megaprim with a square hole in the middle, with 3 smaller floor slab prims to reduce the hole in size to an off-center stairwell, had an LI of... 4. Putting materials on it, with normal and spec maps pushed the LI to 32. A pet water bowl, consisting of several sliced cone prims (for the pet name), a sculpt (for the bowl) and a very short cylinder (for the water surface) had it's LI rocket by about 2200 when specular maps were added to make the metal bowl and the water shiny...
