You need to look at the entire continent of Bellisseria for the new Linden Homes, not just one region. There are currently 5 themes available with a 6th theme pending release, and a 7th theme just revealed (and more themes to come!). Each theme has several different designs of building that you can select for your parcel. The fact that this entire continent is occupied, and with people still waiting for the new releases, it really is a case that the Lindens DID in fact get it right. That said, it's not something that will appeal to everyone, and certainly those that do not wish to be restricted by a covenant still have plenty of mainland to build their dreams. I'm very happy to have a home in Bellisseria and also a mainland parcel situated next to a wonderful town that I try to support by renting some property there too. With travel (by vehicle rather than teleport) being my main activity in SL, the fact that I can travel between my mainland properties and Bellisseria is a constant delight for me The Linden Homes sub forum can be found just along from this one, and will showcase many of the regions there should you wish to have a look without having to travel.

I like them. I'm going to have to have a wander around them though to see if the interior appeals. I can't see me giving up my Victorian... but may be tempted to have a 'holiday home' in addition to it.

But that's a good thing! It shows that the themes are appealing to different people, and makes choosing your home style that much easier

They're really shooting themselves in the foot in this case.... the item being advertised is all too easily overlooked and all the attention is on how good the skin looks.

Oh yes, December 1st is the earliest I’ll even consider putting up decorations in SL... in RL it doesn’t usually happen until Dec 24th!

I'm glad to see that you're enjoying the GoH! Please be aware that Houseboats have historically been VERY sought after and thus hard to find. Seeing them on the LH page is usually a rarity. This may well change once the stilts are released, but at the moment I'd hate for you to reroll a Houseboat only for you not to be able to get another one for some time.

Looks to contain all the known Linden Homes: OL Stilts running top to bottom on the left side; OW Stilts across the top line; Log cabins on the second line; Victorians on the third: Ooo... a gap...watch that space!; Trailers on the next line; Next Trads; and finally Houseboats. There's another handy spot to watch running top to bottom next to the OL Stilts.

@Squeaky Mole We seem to have a problem at Hawkesblood station. I have tried a few times to rez a train and travel west to the older part of Bellisseria. The signals are green but if you try to go the train flips and points to the newer area where the lights are flashing amber to indicate it's still being worked on. Travelling to the newer area is no problem despite the signals. I tried another train which didn't flip, but it cut the drive and gave the following message in chat: Infinity Freight Quarry Train v1.0: No track guide detected As I started writing this an Infinity train arrived at the station from the newer area travelling West, to the older area. It looks as though the driver edit dragged in order to overcome the lack of track guide and then continue their journey. If you could have a look when you get the opportunity I, and I'm sure many other train drivers, would be very grateful

The Linden Homes are starter homes, so if you’re wanting more prims and greater flexibility in building design and location, it’s time to move to the Mainland.

If you are referring to the Dashboard friends list, you will see them in green if they have enabled you to see their location on the world map. If you hover your cursor over the name you'll probably see the region name and co-ordinates for their location in a floating box to the bottom left of the window (depending upon the browser you're using).

What would you do with it?

Check your L$ transaction history on your dashboard, that’ll show any movement in or out of your balance.

Are you talking about a display name? Account second names (and first names) have only been changeable this year so how could you have changed it over three years ago?

Do be aware that if you own both your Linden Home and the abandoned property at the same time, even if it is just for a few minutes, you will be charged the tier rate for the total amount of land held for that month.

It might actually be easier to click through the process and be able to see the current list, but maybe there is a list somewhere.

Some of the names offered from the original batch have been replaced once so far. The ones they took out were not good at all and really did need to go. I changed mine when they were first offered and settled on the one that I felt would do me for now as none really grabbed me, but my original name needed to go as it was prone to being misspelled, and had seemed like a good idea for my av at the time, but times change of course. I have to admit, ‘Nova’ has really grown on me and for me to change again seems very unlikely unless one of a handful of dream names were to suddenly be made available. @Katt Dragoone I agree that the price you posted does seem excessive, but I was paying premium anyway at the time so didn’t factor that in to the cost myself, but the VAT added (20% for me), always makes my eyes roll

With object entry set to everyone, providing the vessel is within the prim limit of the parcel then it should be fine until the auto return kicks in. I believe that regional available prims will only work on land deeded to, and thus owned by a group. The parcels have two separate owners even if the group is set the same on both. I’ve never tested this, so am prepared to be proved wrong but I’m pretty sure it’s the owner that’s the unifying agent.

Unfortunately this started pretty much as soon as LL made the announcement that there were no new regions being made available until the cloud migration was complete. It’s bad enough that some are looking to profit from the “But I want a region NOW!!” market, but what I found even more distasteful are the barons that hiked the price for existing tenants

Sorry to hear that things don’t work well for you there. But in the spirit of fairness I have to say I have never experienced a problem there. I’ve had several homes over the period it has been open and have travelled the continent extensively by road, rail, sea and air. I guess the expression ’your mileage may vary’ has to be kept in mind and anyone considering upgrading to a premium account should spend some time there first to see how it plays for them before making the financial commitment.

Rezzing is any time you are taking something from your inventory and placing it in world. Even the act of creating a prim block in build mode involves the block actually rezzing in world.

Even better news Bob... if you calculate using 4 weekly cycles for a year you get 13, so £8.67*13 = £112.71 ... Huzzah!

There are quite a few of us that have numerous premium alts in order to have more than one Linden Home. The fact that these people are doing the same but preferring to be on the same region is really little difference, just more noticeable.
