You answered the question you posed me, so I’m not going comment further there. As for the mobile app, it has been said when it was mentioned that those logging via the app would not have a presence in world. It’s pretty much just a chat facility so people can keep up with groups and friends whilst out and about. As to whether that will attract a young audience, I doubt it. There will always be a get around for anyone doing pretty much anything, we just have to do the best we can to protect those that need it.

The restricted area for underage users was provided before, and did not work so it was closed. It would be a nightmare to try and moderate a restricted area. How would sign ups be vetted? How could you guarantee that child A's new friend 'B' was really a child? I'm pretty sure the Lab really wouldn't want to touch this with a barge pole.

Would you really want to break the Terms and Conditions by bringing in somebody underage? Even if you keep her to your own parcel she is still going to be contactable by anyone, and STILL going to be against the T&C. Play it safe, and as others have suggested, look elsewhere and more appropriate for her age.

A series of books about a female Deliverance Consultant, or Advisor on the Paranormal for the Diocese of Hereford. The job used to be more commonly known as an Exorcist. She works with the police predominantly, and I really enjoy the setting and characters through the series. Phil Rickman is the author, and the character's name is Merrily Watkins.

I hope you manage to find another at a better rate. I would not stand for a price rise unless the owner were having to fund a rise in their own costs in their tier having had been raised. To increase the price purely because they feel they can make more from the situation is simply robbery. Loyalty works both ways, and the only way to show your displeasure is to walk away.

It has been reported that LL are working on an app for the iPhone, but it won’t have graphics or even place your av in world, just chat access. I had an old app years ago that enabled me to access SL with both my iPhone and iPad, but that too had no graphics and was very ‘crashy’. I’ve not seen it for a long time.

I changed my ‘resident’ name and am very glad to have done so. Like Maitimo I had to pay $48 to do so courtesy of VAT, but as I was already a premium account I at least didn’t have to pay additionally for that. I don’t miss my old name which few people could type without a mistake. This was originally just an alt a/c for RP purposes so made full use of the display name facility, but as time passed I found myself spending more and more time just on this a/c and it ended up with all the ‘cool toys’ as I stopped purchasing for the other accounts. I have other accounts that have the old legacy names, but it’s unlikely I’d ever consider changing any of them. I do however, have another ‘resident’ a/c that is currently premium, and should another family name come along that I like, may very well take advantage of the facility once again.

The standard water level in SL is 20m. The SLURL you quoted shows 87m, so the only way to have deeper water is to raise the land. The part of the Sansara continent which includes the Miller region is a higher land and water level, and if you explore to the points where the level drops, Sutherland for example, you’ll see that the only way the different levels can be achieved is by having the raised land as a barrier between them.

Mine is both I’ve been playing this account as my main for a few years now and it has all the ‘good toys’. My older accounts have the old style names but it was cheaper for me to change this one rather than buy all the stuff I like and use for one of the others.
