I'm trying to create a script for the 10 minutes demo rezzed object. what is better to use llSleep or llSetTimerEvent? and what's the difference basically in this case? llSleep seems shorter and simpler. thanks! default { state_entry() { llSleep(600); llDie(); } } or default { state_entry() { llSetTimerEvent(600); } timer() { llDie(); } }
  2. Hello! I'm trying to create a simple unpacker giving all content to the owner on rez and self-deleting. I have reviewed a bunch of scripts but they are all very difficult for a beginner.   3. I'm no expert builder, but I bought Zimberlab's mesh wall pack and have been playing with it for some time. I'm working on the fourth prototype of this particular house, after learning more and more tools that help me make it perfect. I last learned about the align tool. I've made a floor or two before calling it a day and I know that everything was lined up PERFECTLY. I've found out that linking it causes it to screw up, so I've left it unlinked, and scooped it all up. This time when I rezzed it, pieces are STILL becoming unaligned. I see the edges of a straight wall that took multiple pieces and it's bugging the heck out of me. I can't keep fixing it and I rather not put it in a rez-box just yet. I don't even know if it will work like that. I could try for test #4. There's just so many mesh pieces I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that. I've been in the same sandbox building it the whole time. Any suggestions? Thanks. I haven't posted in forums before so I don't know if there's an answer out there.

    How to rez an avatar

    Good evening, I have purchased a skin for my avatar and on the instructions, it says that I need to "rez an avatar on the ground" I'm pretty sure I can decipher the rest of the instructions I just need to know what does this one step means. And how can I achieve such a thing. Thanks for your help.

    This home is big for 1 br can be rented furnished or unfurnished your choice huge yard and alot of space. Only asking for 150 a week for the home. If interest let me know and we can make arrangements for you to see the place. Its Beautiful ?!!! You can use all the scripts on furniture trust me there alot (I know some places you cant use their pose balls) you can rez your heart out if you want too.
  6. Hello, I've made some things that have modify and copy permissions set. But when I give them to someone else, when they rez it and take it back, the object they take back all of a sudden has no copy and no modify set on it. That makes it difficult for them to modify it. How do I set it so that when they rez it once and retake it, it remains no modify so they can retain whatever changes they made?
  7. So I've been perplexed by this script I've seen which can rez an object without the object being in the contents with said script. My first thought was that somehow the creator was allowed to use llGodLikeRezObject(); However the creator isn't a linden. So I'm curious if they managed to get access to some linden scripting functions(if so how or for what reasons do they allow their uses by residents?) Or is there another work around that allowed them to rez the object with its full contents like this? There's a couple of creators with scripts like this so any info is appreciated.
  8. Hi All, On our private island we have recently encountered an issues where complex rezbox's (the ones used for rezing of homes and skyboxes) are unable to completely rez the objects. Often they are able to rez in the furniture though (if it was a furnished home for that matter) but the walls, floors and structures of the buildings itself do not rezed in. Right clicking the object doesn't force load the structures neither does a viewer re-log. In the attached image below you can see that the furniture and backed textures were unpacked fine while the actual structure of the building was not . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. PS : this is effecting all parcels across our Region, big or small. well within prim allowance too.
  9. Sorry to be a pest. another newbie question. I've taken some purchases to sandbox and followed the instructions to open the box and take t=the contents to my inventory but still am unable to place them in my home. it's saying it cant rez because the "parcel is too full". Advice please?

    Clothes are not fitting once worn a second time

    I've been inworld for years, became paralyzed and now I'm back. The problem is when I buy new clothes some don't fit at all while others fit the first time I wear them and then wen I try again fragments are missing. Has anyone had this problem. p.s. there is no resizing option for the clothes. Milla Alexandre
  11. I seem to recall reading that objects have two IDs: asset ID and an instance ID. It was my impression that the asset ID is fixed and never changes while the instance ID exists only while the object is rezzed (place in world, worn on character as gear or attached as a HUD). Is this accurate? Is the asset ID permanent? Can the asset's ID be used to identify the object when it is rezzed or is only the instance ID valid at that time?

    Group only Rez
