  4. Hi all, new guy here again. So when I buy something and rez it. I'm opening the container so I can copy its contents to my inventory. Now that I have the stuff in my inventory and want to use it, when I drag it out to my land, is that rezzing also? Or is rezzing just the original unpacking? I've been looking at all the things that go along with renting my property to others and giving them Rez permission was one of those things. So, if someone uses a sandbox to rez do they still need rez permissions to drag that stuff (that's been rezzed already) out of there inventory onto my property? Wow, that was a mouthful.
  5. I seem to recall reading that objects have two IDs: asset ID and an instance ID. It was my impression that the asset ID is fixed and never changes while the instance ID exists only while the object is rezzed (place in world, worn on character as gear or attached as a HUD). Is this accurate? Is the asset ID permanent? Can the asset's ID be used to identify the object when it is rezzed or is only the instance ID valid at that time?
  6. I recently discovered that staff in my club's group has the ability to rez items, regardless of their role, even those who were not granted such permissions in the group. This includes the 'Everyone' role which only has the group chat box checked. The land is deeded to this group. I tested it on my home sim as well, which is deeded to another group, and this same issue persists. So sometime within the last month, something has changed, seemingly grid wide, that allows anyone in a group to rez items even if they were not granted that ability. This could cause major problems for land or business owners as well as other groups needing to regulate permissions. Has anyone else had issues restricting perms for members of their group recently? This needs to be addressed and corrected as soon as possible.
  7. I "soft-linked" several objects into a clump object and took it to inventory. It contained about 150 prims, and some of the objects are very valuable and no-copy. When I rez the object, it disappears from inventory, the computer thinks for awhile, and then the object is returned to my inventory unrezzed. There is no message in chat or in a drop-down. I fear I may have lost all the objects in the clump. Is there a way to make this clump rez so that I can recover the objects in it? (1) Parcel capacity is not the issue. The object is about 150 prims, and I have much much more prim availability. (2) Space is not the issue. I am rezzing it to the center of a location that has much more space than the original prims took. (3) I tried rezzing it in 2 different sandbox areas, and the same thing occurred. I would be grateful for any help or information to solve this problem. Kylie
  8. Hello all! So i have recently come into an issue with some games like Hand and Foot, and some vehicles from SCP. it is my understanding that if "EVERYONE" is checked under Parcel Details for "BUILD" then quite obviously, everyone can build. And if it's set to "GROUP" then anyone with the relevant group can build. However if both of those are un-checked. Then the powers that are granted in roles of that specific group, kick in and that is what decides who gets rez rights. Now my problem is, that it seems if BUILD is ON for the Land... then everything seems to work fine. However if that is turned OFF... then the games and vehicles seem to just sit in a "deer in headlights" state. And don't know what to do. Games cannot give out HUDS to play, and the vehicles cannot be driven by anyone UNLESS FOR BOTH, the Owner is online.... Extremely confusing since the whole idea behind the group is to restrict those rights to specific people.. So! my question is, does anybody know of a resolution to this issue. Thank You in advance, Dez
  9. Alright, lets talk about Bellisseria roads and road vehicles for a second. We all have seen nicely done boat rez zones conveniently placed around the continent. They all have reazonable space and are clearly marked to let everyone know you can rez your water vehicle there. We have also seen couple air strips appearing in the area, each one with their own dedicated rez zone for aircrafts (not clearly maked but atleast they are there), but lets talk about Road vehicles and road rez zones... Bellisseria has a problem with road vehicles rez zones. Current road rez zones seems to be placeholder or temporary solutions. They are all currenly found on undeveloped regions arround the developed areas, nothing in between. They are also lacking any kind of marking to let people know of their existance. Newly developed areas seems to also not take vehicle rez zones in consideration as there is none to be found to the date of this post. I am personally hoping that these rez zones has their own space on the developers list of things to have as road vehicles are certainly important when the continent has so much space dedicated to roads alone, and a large community with big interest for road vehicles. Let's make sure they are not forgotten shall we? Is not lag, or your bad driving... the roads are actually broken. Maybe you have noticed that driving around Bellisseria is not exactly a smooth experience. You are not crazy... roads has some issues you can't really see. Bellisseria roads seems to be the first road by the LDPW made out of mesh pieces and they aren't exactly perfect. After some driving, I noticed my vehicles were pretty bouncy, specially on curves. I also had many issues with my vehicles simply refusing to move, randomly, in some areas.. just revving the engine without moving. Upon closer inspection I realized that the road custom colission shapes had various problems that caused various types of issues with the vehicles. These problems has been properly reported and we hope to see them fixed soon. More on that: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-227210 Bellisseria is a great place to take a drive! The continent is without doubt one of the top mainland areas to take a scenic drive. Let's support improvements like these to help polish that experience!
  10. I reactivated an avatar that I had cancelled several years ago. I signed on and my avatar remains in a "cloud-like" state. I am not sure what to do to get my avatar to rez. I even tried clearing the cache and changing outfits, shapes, etc. and that doesn't work. Any suggestions?
  11. Hello! I have such a funny script, it works fine, but for some reason, every time I change the position of the object or just rez it from inventory, I have to reset the scripts. otherwise, the object either flies up to the sky or moves to its original position. why it happens? string animation; // the first animation in inventory will automatically be used // the animation name must be stored globally to be able to stop the animation when standing up integer k; integer flip = 1; list params; vector pos; integer link = 0; default { state_entry() { // set sit target, otherwise this will not work llSitTarget( < 0.0, 0.3, -1.0 > , <0.0, 0.0, -1.0, 1.0> );//*** ///ZERO_ROTATION params = llGetLinkPrimitiveParams(LINK_ROOT, [PRIM_POSITION]); pos = llList2Vector(params, 0); } changed(integer change) { if (change & CHANGED_LINK) { key av = llAvatarOnSitTarget(); if (av) //evaluated as true if not NULL_KEY or invalid { llRequestPermissions(av, PERMISSION_TRIGGER_ANIMATION); llSetTimerEvent(0.02 + llFrand(0.1)); } else // avatar is standing up { if (animation) llStopAnimation(animation); // stop the started animation llResetScript(); // release the avatar animation permissions llSetTimerEvent(0.0); } } } run_time_permissions(integer perm) { if (perm & PERMISSION_TRIGGER_ANIMATION) { animation = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_ANIMATION, 0); // get the first animation from inventory if (animation) { llStopAnimation("sit"); // stop the default sit animation llStartAnimation(animation); } } } timer() { llSetLinkPrimitiveParamsFast(LINK_ROOT, [PRIM_POSITION, pos + ((flip = -flip) * < 0.02, 0.01, 0.01 > )]); } }
  12. Hello! I have a bubble gum script and I need to change it. I need to link the gum to the rezzed object, remove the animation for the avatar from it and leave only the effect of inflating the bubble and the sound of a pop. In general, so that the chewing gum worked for the rezzed object and not attached for the avatar. please tell me what needs to be changed! Thanks for help! init() { llRequestPermissions(llGetOwner(), PERMISSION_TRIGGER_ANIMATION); llPreloadSound("ff0600f0-d8f4-20f6-52ec-a03bc520fee3"); llSetPos(<0,0,0>); llSetScale(<0,0,0>); } default { on_rez(integer num) { if(llGetAttached()) init(); } state_entry() { if(llGetAttached()) init(); } attach(key id) { init(); } run_time_permissions(integer perm) { if (perm & PERMISSION_TRIGGER_ANIMATION) { llSetTimerEvent(5 + (integer)llFrand(14)); } } timer() { llSetTimerEvent(0.0); llStartAnimation("express_kiss"); float itra; for(itra=0.004; itra<0.06; itra+=0.004) { llSetScale(<itra,itra,itra>); llSetPos(llGetLocalPos()+<0.0007,0.0,0.0>); } llPlaySound("ff0600f0-d8f4-20f6-52ec-a03bc520fee3", 1.0); llStopAnimation("express_kiss"); llSetScale(<0,0,0>); llSetPos(<0,0,0>); llSetTimerEvent(5 + (integer)llFrand(14)); } }
  13. Hello! help please to sort out! I'm trying to create a script for the 10 minutes demo rezzed object. what is better to use llSleep or llSetTimerEvent? and what's the difference basically in this case? llSleep seems shorter and simpler. thanks! default { state_entry() { llSleep(600); llDie(); } } or default { state_entry() { llSetTimerEvent(600); } timer() { llDie(); } }
  14. Hello! I'm trying to create a simple unpacker giving all content to the owner on rez and self-deleting. I have reviewed a bunch of scripts but they are all very difficult for a beginner. Please tell me how to start and where to go? that's what i have for now but it dont work... thanks for any help! default { on_rez(integer start_param) { llGiveInventory(llGetOwner(), llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_OBJECT)); llDie; } }
  15. I'm no expert builder, but I bought Zimberlab's mesh wall pack and have been playing with it for some time. I'm working on the fourth prototype of this particular house, after learning more and more tools that help me make it perfect. I last learned about the align tool. I've made a floor or two before calling it a day and I know that everything was lined up PERFECTLY. I've found out that linking it causes it to screw up, so I've left it unlinked, and scooped it all up. This time when I rezzed it, pieces are STILL becoming unaligned. I see the edges of a straight wall that took multiple pieces and it's bugging the heck out of me. I can't keep fixing it and I rather not put it in a rez-box just yet. I don't even know if it will work like that. I could try for test #4. There's just so many mesh pieces I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that. I've been in the same sandbox building it the whole time. Any suggestions? Thanks. I haven't posted in forums before so I don't know if there's an answer out there.
  16. Good evening, I have purchased a skin for my avatar and on the instructions, it says that I need to "rez an avatar on the ground" I'm pretty sure I can decipher the rest of the instructions I just need to know what does this one step means. And how can I achieve such a thing. Thanks for your help.
  17. This home is big for 1 br can be rented furnished or unfurnished your choice huge yard and alot of space. Only asking for 150 a week for the home. If interest let me know and we can make arrangements for you to see the place. Its Beautiful ?!!! 18. Hello, I've made some things that have modify and copy permissions set. But when I give them to someone else, when they rez it and take it back, the object they take back all of a sudden has no copy and no modify set on it. That makes it difficult for them to modify it. How do I set it so that when they rez it once and retake it, it remains no modify so they can retain whatever changes they made?
  19. So I've been perplexed by this script I've seen which can rez an object without the object being in the contents with said script. My first thought was that somehow the creator was allowed to use llGodLikeRezObject(); However the creator isn't a linden. So I'm curious if they managed to get access to some linden scripting functions(if so how or for what reasons do they allow their uses by residents?) Or is there another work around that allowed them to rez the object with its full contents like this? There's a couple of creators with scripts like this so any info is appreciated.
  20. Hi All, On our private island we have recently encountered an issues where complex rezbox's (the ones used for rezing of homes and skyboxes) are unable to completely rez the objects. Often they are able to rez in the furniture though (if it was a furnished home for that matter) but the walls, floors and structures of the buildings itself do not rezed in. Right clicking the object doesn't force load the structures neither does a viewer re-log. In the attached image below you can see that the furniture and backed textures were unpacked fine while the actual structure of the building was not . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. PS : this is effecting all parcels across our Region, big or small. well within prim allowance too.
  21. Sorry to be a pest. another newbie question. I've taken some purchases to sandbox and followed the instructions to open the box and take t=the contents to my inventory but still am unable to place them in my home. it's saying it cant rez because the "parcel is too full". Advice please?
  22. I've been inworld for years, became paralyzed and now I'm back. The problem is when I buy new clothes some don't fit at all while others fit the first time I wear them and then wen I try again fragments are missing. Has anyone had this problem. p.s. there is no resizing option for the clothes. Milla Alexandre
  23. ok so trying to make it so that when you rez a product it check to make sure your wearing a Certain Group. but because this isnt llrezobject but working with on_rez and not attaching i dont know how to have it check the group properly so that if your wearing the wrong group it deletes its self from where you rezzed it. here is what i got or have attempted. integer groupSame; string My_Group = " uuid here "; // change the UUID to your Group UUID GroupCheck() { list details = llGetObjectDetails(llGetKey(), ([OBJECT_GROUP]) ); string myGroup = llList2String(details, 0); if( myGroup == My_Group) { groupSame = TRUE; } else { groupSame = FALSE; } } default { on_rez(integer start_param) { llResetScript(); } state_entry() { GroupCheck(); if(groupSame) { llSay(0," Approved "); } else { llSay(0," Wrong Group Self Deleting "); llDie(); } } }
