  1. Mount Etna erupts every now and then, I hadn't heard it was at it again, but it doesn't appear to be anything major for now. Besides, if we had another Eyjafjallajökull-event in 2021 that would probably just be a good thing - keep people on the ground for a bit, halt further unnecessary spread of Covid-19 from stupid people thinking that how one shouldn't be travelling doesn't apply to them. And it was, all in all, good for the climate as well. As far as the 'coup' goes. Meh. There's been enough political shenanigans on these forums as of late. It'll hopefully all be over with by tomorrow (see, I can be optimistic, too!). And Covid itself, well, the process of vaccination has begun all over the place, so long as people can maintain (and hopefully improve on) isolation until it's kicking in, things should get better soon. Unless a certain group of posters are correct in that it will 'taint the DNA of God' and fill us with something made from 'dead babies and Lucifer himself'. If that doesn't get Deathstars to finally release their new album though, I don't know what will!
  2. So what does 'revoke permissions' do, if it doesn't revoke permissions ..?
  3. In this peaceful, quiet pine forest, many mysterious creatures unknown to urban millennials lurk ... But no unicorns, because they do not exist.
  4. I'm partial to partiality. What constitutes trash is entirely subjective. Spending the vast majority of my in-world time at a sky-platform doing photos, a body that breaks apart at an altitude is not attractive (Maitreya's 5.0 release had that on one spot on the calf, it was promptly fixed before I even noticed it was there), and also being extremely judgmental of people's meshes (a certain, very popular brand of home decor and furniture ticked me off endlessly when I discovered how many triangles they had used for a slice of lemon in a tea cup, especially since I don't much care to have lemon slices in my tea!), and generally prone to being peeved (the media HUD on the Legacy demo I had to use to activate BOM just about had me ready to chuck my monitor through the wall) - Legacy pushes all kinds of the wrong buttons with me. But then, as they say, some people's trash are some people's treasure - I mean there's even people listening to jazz, hip hop, and rap!* *or at least so I suspect based on how that sort of cacophony continues to be produced, and how its creators don't appear to die of starvation! And they even have the audacity to call it 'music'!
  5. L$3,000 isn't going to get you a ticket to go see a movie for one ... What LittleMe said. Also, why would you bring up their nationality? It's not like Spain is a poor country.
  6. ... You put Legacy on the wrong end. I'd sooner go back to wearing a system body than wearing that piece of trash.
  7. And quite possibly a hat thread.
  8. How about a Swedish accent? I'd put my ratio at something like 10% Stellan Skarsgård and 90% Pewdiepie.
  9. Well, there's a whole category for it on the MP. Like, this one: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/canti/21114002
  10. I don't think it's time to say that 'Gianni is dead' just yet. Personally I won't go to Jake (why would I pick a body that's so severely behind as far as updates to new major features in SL go?) and I wouldn't touch Legacy if I were paid for it ... Actually that's not entirely true, I got a demo of it in my inventory for work. Besides, there's always the chance that someone will get around to make a whole new body - I'm no tech wiz, but I figure with BOM there'd be less work as far as scripting HUDs with alpha cuts and whatnot goes. Until then, the clothes I already have and what will be released by creators who don't drop Gianni (or Geralt - how I wish Geralt would get some more loving!), I figure I could last until whatever body takes off as the 'next gen' thing. Worst case I'll just have to get there topless!
  11. Well. With the power invested in me as OP ( .. Teehee), I'm going to say that if anyone wants to go Paparazzi and post pictures of @Rat Luv I'll consider it completely on topic. ... Though you should probably get her consent before doing so.
  12. If there's a cat thread, there must be a rat thread.
  13. Hm, have you tried rebaking? Avatar -> Avatar Health -> Force Appearance Update (Rebake) / or just Ctrl + Alt + R / or right-click yourself -> Appearance -> Tex. refresh. There's also the seam at the wrist and along the breast, which is a bit peculiar - it may be a silly question, but have you tried changing the WL?
  14. Well, that pajamas does come in 7 colours - surely, that'll cover all clothing needs a man could conceivably have?
  15. Not attacking someone and not including someone are different things. And that Second Life is 'all about' tolerance, acceptance, and inclusion .. Well, I think that's inaccurate. There has pretty much always been places that do not allow furries, vampires, tinies, 'non-human avatars', no men, no women, etc. There already are such places. 'Always' has been. I recently came across a place plastered with Antifa logos and slogans all over (including the infamous 'good night right side' one, which is rather controversial) - of course the traffic was next to non-existent.
  16. I don't have any real data, but from what I have heard from friends who make clothes, rigging for Jake is supposedly easier. When last I saw a poll on which bodies people were using (in just one store, mind) the Gianni was, by far, the most popular one, with Jake second, Legacy third - I think Aesthetic was fourth and in front of Geralt (which sucks). That was about a year ago though, so things may well have changed since, and the sample may not have been properly representative of the actual ratios to begin with (the store does offer a fair bit of Gor-esque stuff, which might appeal to the same sort of people to whom Gianni and Aesthetic may be more appealing than Jake and Legacy). I'm fairly confident Gianni is still the most widely used body though, and to not drop support for Gianni may well alienate a large portion of your customers - far from everyone has several bodies to swap between just to wear a certain piece of apparel.
