  1. Always gotta love people jumping into things entirely uniformed and then crying wolf....
  2. In addition to everything being said. I have had this problem before and none of the above applied, it was simply left over artifacts. I believe a sim restart fixed it, or perhaps the land owner did. Either way it wasn't something I myself could have fixed.
  3. Not very likely to happen as that'd need a lot of support power because of people skirting naming rules and going for dirty or vulgar last names. The few would immediately ruin it for the many.
  4. Why not search for a Mesher instead who'll create safety nets for your rock problem.
  5. My favorite by far is Sansara due to the Snowland part<3
  6. I was really disappointed with most of the themes, too, especially the newest. Hoping they'll come up with something nicer in the future. Maybe they could do several little themes that only have 20 regions or so, like tree houses or underwater dwellings. That'd be nice as opposed to all that generic stuff we already have on the MP aplenty.
  7. I'm glad I got my new last name when I did<3 If there's a limited quantity I wonder how high the threshold is.
  8. I've recently downgraded back to basic. I was premium because of owning my own land however, due to having to pay 19% VAT on tier cost I can rent land just SO much cheaper. Not sure what LL would have to add to make me want to go back to premium, nothing really interesting in it for me and the one thing I did want was costly.
  9. Someone be thirsty I'd suggest your friend prowl the marketplace and check out all the mods. When he finds one (or more) that he really likes, check which bodies the mods provide appliers for. That should narrow down what type of body your friend will go for. He can then check out the mentioned bodies and see how they are muscle wise. Also check if the body has a lot of clothing made for it, that's pretty important.
  10. Welcome to the forums, do you need help with anything?
  11. It's probably be named something silly like, GORmet Burger or McFur or my personal favourite the SteamBun!
  12. -Hey this is a pretty nifty idea!
  13. That's because there is no separate section for parcels. People are forced to use this section instead and have been for years.
  14. I recently had a conversation about it with a friend and it had me go down memory lane. I knew Second Life was a thing from shortly after it launched but I was heavily invested in IMVU at the time. I remember lots of folks in the forums asking why it's not possible to walk since in IMVU you hopped from poseball to poseball. I was one of the ones who told these people to just go to Second Life if they want to walk, IMVU was fine as it was. One day though I actually stopped and thought about it. I wanted to walk, too! So I made this account almost fifteen years ago and haven't looked back since. It's probably a silly reason to join but I can be a very silly person at times with loads of wtf moments on my part! What reason had you join SL?
  15. Biggest SL pet peeve for me is people adding wrong items to the Buildings part of the marketplace. I prowl that several times a day thanks to my house addiction and it peeves me each time someone puts non-structures in there to the point where I report each and every one of them for wrong listing category and have been for a long time. On the upside the MP team has been super fast lately to remove these offenders. They do it usually within a day, two days at most, all of my reported listings get moved. It's amazing! ...stop looking at me like that.
  16. 1. You win the forum, here's your trophy. 2. I shouldn't be laughing but by god you make it hard not to 3. Wtf did I just read? 4. For when you lose faith in humanity 5. You said something that wasn't stupid.
  17. This is the only section we have for private estate rentals so this does indeed belong here. Also, as I believe, this is a parcel shaped into an island with water ways between other renters.
  18. You're having this a bit backwards. You don't get employed to learn how Second Life works. You first learn how it works and then look for employement. Also, being employed always means you have to have some type of skill. Meshing, roleplaying, costumer service, texturing, animation making and so on and so on. Without a skill you will not find employement.
  19. Establish a brand first. Concentrate on one thing and do it good. Once you have a good amount of products (say 25+), create an in world presence. Offer demo's no matter what you sell.
  20. I'm taking breaks every now and then, especially when I start a new hobby. I'm always coming back though.
