  1. Tagging someone in the forum means they're alerted to the tag by the forum software, which points them to the post they've been tagged in. I would suggest just waiting for them to respond. I wouldn't hold your breath for Napoleon, as he's not been active for a long, long time. Bitsy appears to post fairly infrequently, so I'm not sure how often she checks the forum. It may be a while before she sees the tag. Amanda is fairly active, so hopefully she will respond sometime soon. ContraptioN includes a notecard with all their coats and waistcoats that lists where to find trousers, so I suggest starting with that. They also usually include a free cummerbund pack (appliers and BoM) so that you can wear their coats and waistcoats with trousers that don't have a high enough waist. In addition, I would suggest activating BoM on your mesh body if you haven't already, and using BoM/system pants layers. In my final image, above, the pants from the Toksik outfit are system layers. For footwear, take a look at Lassitude & Ennui. They especially have some nice historical boots that are perfect for wearing with BoM pants. And for gloves, Contraption have a nice pair - called Dapper Dandy - that should suffice. Like the pants, the gloves are shown on my final image, above.
  2. Edit your brow-shaper, go into the Style tab, pull all the sliders to zero, then save it. What you're actually seeing is the shape of the old 'helmet head' system hair, and you're seeing it because the creator of your brow-shaper has only put a fully transparent texture on it instead of zeroing all the sliders as well. This was common practice before BoM became a thing, because most people were wearing an alpha layer to hide their system head in order to wear mesh heads (and that alpha layer also hid the system hair). Now that we're removing our alpha layers to use BoM on our mesh heads, we're seeing which creators didn't zero those sliders in addition to using the transparent texture on the system hair
  3. Hotdog and ContraptioN spring to mind. When they rig for female bodies it tends to be Maitreya and Freya, although since these outfits are usually all-covering then the body rigs aren't all that important, save perhaps the fit at the wrists. Eaxmples of Hotdog's clothing (ignore the styling; gas masks are not de rigeur!) - The two above have a slightly futuristic feel to them, but with additional styling you can distract from that. And some examples of ContraptioN's clothing. Granted, the time period is a little later than the one you're seeking, but there are precious few high quality creators of historical mesh as it is, let alone masculine clothing from past eras tailored for women - For a tricorne, my favourite go-to has long been the 'Golden Age' tricorne by Senzafine. I can't find it on their Marketplace store, but it may be in the inworld store. I'm wearing it in the image below. There are other tricornes out there but I've always loved the generous fit of the Senzafine one. It goes well over lots of hairstyles, and if you have to size it up to fit over hair it doesn't look ridiculously big (unless, obviously, you really size it up). You may also want to run to the Warehouse Event. I can't find the original image on Flickr, but Toksik have this amazing outfit (including pants and boots) for sale there until Dec 18th. It includes rigs for Legacy F, Freya, Hourglass, Maitreya & Maitreya Flat - Lastly, I'm going to tag @Amanda Dallin since she wears a lot of this clothing style when she takes part in SL naval battles, and will probably have more suggestions for you
  4. I don't own a GA.EG head, so I'm not sure of the options your head's HUD contains. However, in the first image I can see that you have materials enabled on the head (the pores that are showing on your cheekbones) so if you've got those enabled then you may have been playing around with other materials-related settings. Usually if there's a slider called 'Environment' that can be the cause of grey areas on the mesh. It tends to be more metallic than what you're seeing here, but my suggestion would be to look for any sliders in and around the materials part of the HUD (look for words like: environment, glossiness, shine, etc) and pull those down to zero. Edit: I see you posted that your specific issue fixed itself while I was typing. I'll leave my response as-is, because the advice would still apply to someone else who may have a similar issue and search the forum for an answer.
  5. Since there's a couple of nice group gifts out there right now...
  6. For anyone who picked up the male head for themselves or an alt, Clef de Peau have just released their Christmas group gift for men (the female gift isn't out yet) - It's a BoM skin in a single tone, with the head on a system skin and the body on tattoo layers. Includes 'tight' body skins (both with and without freckles) for Gianni, Jake, Slink, and Legacy, plus HD brow appliers and four shapes (including one for the gift head). Group is free to join.
  7. I'm not even surprised by that, to be honest. When Catwa gave Freya as a gift back in May, we received more than a few complaints that there was no demo to try first. No. free. demo. For. a. free. head.
  8. Have you settled on a mesh body yet? Because if you're aiming for androgynous then you could choose a secondary route, which is a female mesh head and Maitreya mesh body with either the V-Tech or Maitreya flat chest add-ons. Female faces tend to take to thinner shaping a little better, especially if you start with a more angular head to begin with. Skell's bishonen persona, Syd, uses Catwa's Margeaux head mostly. I haven't gone very angular with his face, but you can get an idea of the kind of looks you can achieve, here. There's also the Raven Bell BJD heads you might try, but those might not be the kind of look you're after. Rowan makes a good point about shading. If you're using BoM then there are several contour add-ons you can layer over your skin (from memory I have some by Izzie's, CORE, and Clemm) to give you a more gaunt look. This B&W shot uses the Clemm contour (which, from memory, is only available instore and not on MP). Heh! No problem Usually I do lead any Catwa-related responses here on the forum with that, but I'm a bit frazzled this evening and forgot to include it.
  9. You're asking a Catwa CSR to recommend a different brand of head here! That said, if you really do want to get a very thin and angular face like you're trying to achieve there (which reminds me a bit of Hayden Aragon/Hot Doge, the creator behind the Hotdog brand), then Victor is probably the best Catwa option you might have achieved it with, since the chin on Victor is the most receptive to that kind of shaping. The issue you're coming up against appears to be pulling the chin too thin and pointed while at the same time bringing the jawline in toward the neck. I'm not inworld to check what other sliders you could try, but possibly elongating the head ('stretch' head sliders) might give the illusion of a thinner face, although you may then run into issues with the fit of some rigged hairstyles. Your other option is to try this head. It's intended to work best with this (emaciated) body, so I have no idea how it fits against other mesh bodies on the market (one review appears to suggest that it works well with Belleza Jake), but it's probably the closest you'll come to the look you appear to be aiming for. Since both the head and body are fully modifiable you can edit them manually to be Bakes on Mesh compatible and use a BoM skin. I would strongly suggest trying demos of both that head and any potential BoM skins you might use on it, though, since I'm not sure what kind of UV mapping the head uses.
  10. You've "broken" the mesh. While it's possible to move each of those individual sliders to those extents, the combination of them that you have going on there is simply too much for the rigging.
  11. If, for any reason, you can't buy L$ via the viewer, try the web dashboard instead. Log in at secondlife.com and - under the Linden Exchange header in the left sidebar - click 'Buy L$'. I'd strongly suggest using the 'Instant Buy (Market Buy)' option, because if you don't understand how the the 'Best Rate Buy (Limit Buy)' option works then you might have to wait longer for your money than you need to. As an aside, I know the currency in Turkey is the Turkish Lira, but I also know that many places in Turkey accept the Euro. If, by chance, you're trying to purchase currency and are living in Turkey then you may be experiencing the known issue detailed below: https://status.secondlifegrid.net/incidents/58sbn44gqxk7 That issue has now been ongoing for 25 days, so if this is what's causing the problem for you then I'm not sure when it'll be fixed.
  12. Check the Inworld Employment sub-forum.
  13. Your MP order history page actually makes four calls to Facebook. You can view these by right-clicking anywhere on the page when in Firefox, selecting 'Inspect Element', then clicking the Network tab of the bar that pops up, then hitting F5 to reload the page. You'll see all the network traffic if you do that. Click on any line on the left to load more info about it on the right. The calls are: two .js calls to connect.facebook.net one Pageview call to facebook.com one Microdata call to facebook.com You will also notice to the left of the lock icon on the Firefox address bar that you can see a purple shield icon. Click it and check out Social Media Trackers and Cross-Site Tracking Cookies. You'll find Facebook on both. There are also two calls to Facebook on the Allowed Tracking Content section. As long as you have Content Blocking enabled (see the slider at the top of that section) then the calls to Facebook should be blocked.
  14. Some questions and suggestions that may help us narrow down what's happening: Does this happen in all locations, or only one? While the level of sinking that you're seeing means it's unlikely to be caused by wonky physics on the building's floor, that could be exacerbating it. Additionally, I'm not familiar with that avatar but some non-human avatars require you to wear an additional shoe-shaper or animated object to offset your avatar's height, so it's worth checking the folder that the avatar came in to see if it has anything like that included. Try the following. Instructions are given for the Firestorm viewer - Right-click your avatar and select: Appearance > Reset > Skeleton & Animations If using Firestorm viewer, go to the Avatar menu and select: Avatar Health > Refresh Attachments Again, if using Firestorm, go to the Avatar menu and select: Avatar Health > Stop Avatar Animations and Revoke Permissions Relog (log out and back in again) You can also try the Undeform Avatar option (I'm not logged in right now to check, but I'm fairly certain it's in the same menu location: Avatar Health). Be aware that many non-human avatars do need to deform the skeleton in order to look right, so I suggest setting back to default male or female before you un-deform, then re-wear the full Diremane avatar again. If that doesn't fix it - and especially if other people don't see you experiencing this issue - then a more drastic measure is to delete your settings.xml file, which may have been corrupted by a crash. If necessary, please expand the quote below to read how to do that (again, instructions are given for the Firestorm viewer, so you may need to hunt around for specifics if using the stock LL viewer) - You say that it's fine when you reload default avatar, but the next day you're back to being sunk into the ground. Can you confirm that you've remained in the Test Male/Test Female default avatar during that entire time and have not added or changed anything on your avatar? If you've not tried that yet, please do; it could indicate that something you're wearing is messing things up.
  15. Does it really bloody matter? If you deem the use of in-viewer processing such as vignettes and Black Dragon's various settings as 'raw' then it's raw to you. If you're a complete purist who thinks that even so much as changing Windlight from default SL settings and cropping means an image isn't raw, then that's 'raw' to you. We're sitting here arguing over semantics instead of posting and enjoying each other's own definition of 'raw' images.
  16. If the avatars you were seeing that above were all male then it's a strong possibility that they're wearing the Belleza Jake body. To be precise: all four copies of the Belleza Jake body that are in the folder. I've seen that red texture area warning three times, and on each occasion a quick scan of the avatars showed that to be the case. This is a scan of one guy I spotted at Akeruka, sporting the red texture area warning: Each of those is a full copy of the body. When the creator updated the body previously, the hands and feet were completely redone, which meant that many old gloves, rings, and shoes didn't fit on the updated body. Hence the inclusion of updated versions of the body with the old hands and feet: The '2.1 Bento OriginalFeet' is the full body with the old feet, the '2.1 Bento OriginalHand' is the full body with the old hands, and the '2.1 Bento Original' is the full body with both the old hands and old feet. The '2.1 Bento' that's top of the list in the body's folder is the most up-to-date version with both the new hands and new feet. But because of the confusing way the bodies have been labelled, some guys seem to think that the 'OriginalFeet' body is just the feet, and that the 'OriginalHand' body is just the hands. So they wear everything. Four full copies of a three-layer body. No wonder they're showing a texture area warning!
  17. I'm asthmatic and spent 20 years having to wear a mask for work for up to 13 hours a day, six days a week. Gosh, it's a wonder I'm still alive, eh?
  18. To solve the dress issue you could try looking for animations or leg locks that work with hobble skirts. I also found a couple of sets of 'tight skirt' animations from Curio Obscura, but they're pretty old (system avatars on the ads) so they won't be Bento enabled. If the skirt is floor length and the feet won't be seen when walking you could also try this.
