  1. Would you mind sharing your custom shadow settings? Because those shadows are definitely not using the default settings.
  2. Is there no younger glen to replace it? What is the "elder glen theme" anyway? A theme for what?
  3. And now we know that's actually what they are. All this time, I considered it just a working term until we find out what they really are, never thought that we'd be right on the money! 🙂
  4. Yup, cache corruption, but not quite the way Fiona says. The cache is a place on your hard drive where your viewer stores textures that it downloads so that items and people can rez faster when you look at them a second time. Usually all goes well, but sometimes this cache can get damaged for a wide variety of reasons and the result are multicolored textures on some (or all) in-world objects. This is harmless but is a bit annoying and looks weird. The solution is to simply clear your cache so that the textures get downloaded again. That is all there is to it. :-)
  5. What things have you tried yet? Have you relogged? Cleared cache? Did you jump around in nothing but socks singing "doo wah diddy"?
  6. It sometimes happens that an item disappears from the database. It used to be more common than it is nowadays, but it still happens and unless the item suddenly reappears in your inventory, there is nothing you can do to bring it back. Unless you have additional copies of the item, but in the case of a shape, this is unlikely. So what you should do is the following: Disable RLV or use a viewer without RLV. Now that RLV is disabled your collar lock is not working, so now you can detach your collar. Change your shape. Try a different shape than Leelye Shape. Once you have a shape again, you will rez again. Leave the collar off and log in with your regular RLV-enabled viewer. Or, if you had disabled RLV in your regular viewer, you can re-enable it and relog. From here, perform the steps needed to associate the other shape with your collar. I hope this helps.
  7. It is underway! http://go.secondlife.com/landing/sl16b/
  8. It is currently not possible to have all visitors use your recommended WL settings. Wait for EEP to be included in all viewers, which should make it possible (except for the people that disable the use of recommended Windlight settings)
  9. So... I had been wondering where the SL16B Spellbound went, the region with the preview of the new theme and with a stroke of genius *COUGH*, I decided to scroll down on the map juuuuust a little and what do you know? There it is! The "trailer park". Tomorrow we will see if that really IS a trailer park, or just some candy wrappers that a Mole left behind 🙂 Yes, I said genius, stop laughing. Stop laughing I said!
  10. I know, right? I like to speculate, to guess and wonder about the big surprize until the time that the surprize is revealed. Even if I happen to guess something right, I don't want to know. Not yet anyway, and definitely NOT until tomorrow.
  11. Drop by any time at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fourze/108/222/23
  12. I know, and I am more than happy to amuse them 🙂
  13. Way to crush my fantasies! That's the thing, the speculation is more fun than any form of confirmation that I could get 🙂
  14. I have watched the video at a quarter of the normal speed, and although unlikely, I think I may have caught a tiny glimpse of the new LL home theme. As I said, it's unlikely. Highly unlikely even but on the off chance that I am correct, I will NOT post a screenshot, nor reveal where in the video I think I have seen it but you can go an see if you can find anything that seems like it could be the new theme.
  15. Ah, but I love the speculation, and we know that the Lindens and Moles like it too. Perhaps I am spot on about some things, and way off about others. I could be giving them a good chuckle or a major facepalm, who knows Let's have some fun today because tomorrow a lot of the speculation about the builds on the SL16B regions will end
  16. It just hit me whilst watching the video... Several people have asked for a shopping/commercial area on Bellisseria. Now, commerce is still not allowed in the Linden homes, but we can RP it, so behold: the new Bellisseria shopping district!!!! (Pure Speculation ™©®)
  17. I am quite confident that the beach huts are the groups of 3 buildings, located around the heart-shaped lake in the SL16B regions, look for example at https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SL16B Wonderous/128/128/0 The 1950's car park and garage can be found in https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SL16B Mesmerize/213/134 The one thing I am least confident about is the school house, but I think it's just south of the 1950s garage and is located at https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SL16B Mesmerize/213/56 although it even seems to have a school bus parked in front of it. We will find out tomorrow if I was right about ANY of this
  18. The big answer is "at https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SL16B Spellbound/128/128/0 " which for the moment has been taken offline moved south by some 3 regions, probably so as to avoid accidental pics and footage being taken of what is supposed to be a surprise. But we have seen it on the map before it was taken offline so we know it will be there and at the time it looked like the "trailer park" which has been spotted before on SSP84 https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SSP84/128/128/0
  19. Practically unreadable with dark theme. Please do NOT paste with formatting, but add the formatting after pasting.
  20. The trick is learning how to resize and reposition the necklace. Attach point can sometimes also be a factor but is rare.
  21. I don't mean to crush anyone's hopes, but the likelihood that those that missed out so far will be able to scoop up a home during the next release round is very very small. Especially considering the low volume of homes that are being prepared for this next round. The best thing to do is sit back, relax, try to let go and just roll with it. Perhaps it would even be a good idea to buy yourself 1024sqm of mainland and live on that (there is an initial cost, but would be tier-free just like a Linden Home) Then, when you know that the release of new homes is imminent, abandon the land (or make sure to be able to sell to someone on a moment's notice) and once you are sans land, repeatedly refresh to try to get one of the new homes until you either have one, or until they are all gone again. And if you miss out again this time, get yourself some new mainland until the next batch of new Linden homes and do the dance all over again. This is exactly what I would have done, had I not been fortunate enough to land myself a new Linden home during the first round. So my point is this; Try, but don't try too hard, it will only lead to frustration. Go with an alternative until the prospects of getting a new Linden home are better and if you miss out again, go back to that alternative.
  22. I too like New Hamsterdam, but here are a few other faves: Updock (ask someone what that is, Bugs!) Buitenwijk (Dutch for Suburb) Emerson Lake (I wonder if there are palms in that region to represent Palmer) Due South (Located in the North of Bellisseria) Bellfry (Needs to be checked for bats) Hartnell (I still need to check that region for a TARDIS, William Hartnell was the first Doctor in Doctor Who) There are more but I can't quite remember them off the top of my head... and without coffee! EDIT: I need to mention Getthe Point and Arrgh as well!
