  1. Any chance at fixing shadows? shadows can make the scene look nicer but in second life shadows feel broken in the engine with ultra preset under 10 fps turn shadows off over 40 fps computer https://valid.x86.fr/9v0vjw
  2. is there any reason that screen_last is saved as bitmap image instead of jpeg? that is a 6 mb write every reboot or crash of the viewer instead of just a few kb everyone seems to like optimization so why the largest file format you could possible find? the max picture file size allowed to be uploaded to the forum is 4.88MB
  3. Hiya I noticed that the viewer cannot see enterprise versions of the operating system in help section like enterprise LTSB & LTSC? but can see server versions Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB is supported until October 13, 2026 https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/13853/windows-lifecycle-fact-sheet also i guess the viewer cannot see the full version of server editions either https://ibb.co/FWtdf7N also there seems to be memory limitation bugs unless firestorm only supports 1GB of vram? because it wont let me set it any higher irregardless of how much vram is present up to 3GB of vram can currently be configured on each vm Firestorm 6.0.2 (56680) Feb 9 2019 18:55:39 (64bit) (Firestorm-Releasex64) with Havok support Release Notes You are at 161.4, 212.3, 1498.6 in JOMO located at sim10654.agni.lindenlab.com (216.82.53.16:13015) SLURL: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/JOMO/161/212/1499 (global coordinates 132769.0, 316116.0, 1498.6) Second Life Server 19.05.17.527341 Release Notes CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz (3499.98 MHz) Memory: 4095 MB OS Version: Windows Server 2016 64-bit (Build 14393.693) Graphics Card Vendor: VMware, Inc. 4. Nvidia to publish open source version of Quake II RTX https://hexus.net/gaming/news/pc/129617-nvidia-publish-open-source-version-quake-ii-rtx/ it looks like ray tracing might give second life a face lift and older video cards support it somewhat? it only says basic for none rtx cards Ray Tracing, Your Questions Answered: Types of Ray Tracing, Performance On GeForce GPUs, and More https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/geforce-gtx-dxr-ray-tracing-available-now/

  7. is there any ini files or somewhere i can edit to change the slider in firestorm from 2048 to 16384
  8. I gave Alchemy viewer a try 2048mb https://ibb.co/hk9aXA here it says quote An experimental Second Life™ viewer striving to be at the forefront of stability, performance, and technological advancement in the open-source metaverse viewer field. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory I wouldn't say so. no different then the rest tried one tried them all at best a slight ui user interface change and that is all https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_interface
  9. it would be nice if the catalog displayed whether or not we already purchased items steam does this so you don't accidently make double purchases also it is a bit of a shame that in world purchases are not linked to the web catalog so they do not have a paper trail sales receipt log or allow reviews of any kind untraceable anonymous
  10. What is the benefit of 3rd party viewers if change is not allowed and is forbidden?
  11. this forum seems to be against graphics and visuals, this forum seems to prefer that it had remained 1962 for forever without any progression moving forward https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3H6hnFV-nDU
  12. out of curiosity is the software 32 bit? because on the page here you claim quote All builds are Large Address Aware for systems with greater than 2 gig memory http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory/Firestorm but this is untrue as you cannot use more then 2048mb 2GB with any version of firestorm
  13. I downloaded the singularity alpha build 6994 went into settings preferences it lets you change the memory via text at first I thought I was golden but it reset anything I typed into it to 2048 and I uninstalled it that is as far as I got with it no point in trying software that doesn't work https://ibb.co/eV83fV
