  1. You may want to ask for support on their website at https://www.lumiyaviewer.com/
  2. That "Beach house" is the Squishy Pickle on the new atoll off the coast of Belliseria.
  3. I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to do that, so give it a whirl and tell us how it went 😉
  4. Go to a sandbox and rez them so you can feed them, then take them back into your inventory. Do this for as long as it takes you to rent or buy a new place to rez your animals.
  5. It's a technical possibility of the mailboxes and life preservers, yes. Will they? Who knows, it is WAY too early to even think about that right now.
  6. I was thinking of that too, but if you walk around the townhomes on Belliseria and check the LI on the trees, you will notice that many are 30+ LI per tree. That is rather high as compared to commercially available trees out there (which tend to be 1-2 LI each). A sky island could possibly be made to be less than 30, but let's say they will be 100 LI per island, that would be a smidge over 3 trees and still leave room for homes, landscaping, etc. The only real issue that I could see is that there will be a limited number of sky island models, which could become boring and give a cookie-cutter feel. Although perhaps with different textures per island model, the number of island styles could be expanded. This is, of course, not including the homes or decorations on them, I am talking purely about the sky islands in this case. Trust me, you are not the first woman that wants to stuff her husband in a little cave and leave him there
  7. I was thinking the other day that it would be cool if LL would add sky homes which would hover somewhere between 25 and 150 meters. I know what you're thinking: "skyboxes", but that is not at all what I was thinking. Imagine a group of floating islands, different in size, connected by (rope?) bridges, each island a little higher or lower than the other to give it an organic feel. Some islands will have multiple homes on them, others will have one home, and yet others have none (these will be community areas). Here are some pictures of what I imagine in my head, not as an exact template, but more as a mood board. Most of the islands in these pictures are isolated but I would imagine that IF LL would decide to build such homes, it would all get connected to avoid the "skybox" feel and create the sense of community that the Lindens and Moles have been so good at creating lately. As for the style of the houses themselves, I would picture them to be fantasy themed, ranging from a dark old witch's abode to a bright elf dwelling. What are your thoughts? Would this be heaven or unliveable in your opinion?
  8. Edited your mod to report the number of interactions to the owner on touch: //Give a notecard to anyone touching this object integer total; default { state_entry() { // when script resets read total total = (integer)llGetObjectDesc(); } touch_start(integer total_number) { // get the UUID of the person touching this object key user = llDetectedKey(0); // give them the first notecard found in the object's contents llGiveInventory(user, llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 0)); if (user == llGetOwner()) // If owner touches the object... { // Report how many people were given a notecard. llOwnerSay("So far, "+(string)total+" people were offered a notecard."); } else { // ... if the user is anyone other than the owner. // add 1 to the total of people who have touched the object total++; // save the new total to object description llSetObjectDesc((string)total); } } }
  9. I have tried my hardest and my best, but I can't seem to find where I saw that. Mind you, it was a few months ago. I had thought I read it in Inara Pey's blog, but I can't find it there. But I know it was around the time (perhaps a week later) that her now-famous March 15 post came out. But what I have read could have been a forum post by a Linden, a Mole or it could have been an interview.
  10. The time frame given was that it will be AT LEAST 2 years before residents of old linden homes will be urged to move to a new Linden home. This will give the Lindens and the Moles also at least 2 years to get replacements ready for the current (old) Linden Homes tenants, as well as for new subscribers, AND premium users who are willing to give up their mainland in favor of a new Linden Home. This means that a LOT of new Linden homes, in various (more than two! 😄 ) themes, will be built in the coming years. When I say a lot, I mean thousands. Perhaps even tens of thousands, but will see what the final numbers will be.
  11. There are many Linden employees with the last name of Linden. Only a handful of them actually have a modicum of access to the private info of the residents. But as a rule, if they don't need the access, they don't get it.
  12. A friend of mine lives there too. There are 3 Lindens and a rather well-known blogger (he frequents these forums too) that live there as well. I'd say you are in great company there! 🙂
  13. I have been in SL for nearly 11 years and never had premium before this year. More about that later 🙂 Trust me, they took notice... twice! 🙂 I like to compare it to the Oklahoma Land Rush of 1889 Well, as I said earlier, I never had premium before this year. I won myself a cheap little bit of mainland and had started to decorate it when I learned of the new Linden Homes. "Whatever!" I thought, assuming it would be nothing to write home about. ...Until I visited the Linden Preview region during the RFL Home and Garden Expo (I wanted inspiration for decorating my mainland home). I fell in love with the townhouses and the Winchester in particular. The area surrounding the houses felt warm, welcoming, urban, it felt like a place where people would live, not just avatars, if that makes any sense. I had a look at the houseboats but was like "ew, I could never live there!". At that point, I decided to get a townhome the moment they would become available. Fast forward a few months and whilst reading the forums, I noticed a post that said that the new homes on Belliseria had just released. I went online, abandoned my mainland and immediately snagged up a townhome (this was still VERY early in the land rush!). However, since I had taken up sailing in SL, it made me wonder what it would be like to own a houseboat. I had flown around the new continent after securing my townhome and became impressed with the houseboats. SO... I abandoned my townhome and swapped it out for a houseboat. The location was perfect, it's facing out over a lake, so it's great for launching boats or seaplanes and it's near a road, so one can rez a land vehicle on my roof and drive it off to explore the rest of the continent. I decided to hold on to the houseboat, and since Belliseria had no LL rez zones yet, I decided to make my home available as a rez zone. Building upon that, I have opened the home for all who want to drop in and hang out (we have coffee!).
  14. Keep refreshing that page. If someone abandons their new Linden home and you happen to refresh at the right time, then you can snag up that home.
  15. Yes and no. - Yes, if you abandon your land you can get a Linden home. - No, all the NEW Linden homes are gone now, but you can keep refreshing the page where you can choose a home, and HOPE you get lucky enough to find that someone has abandoned their home so you can snag it up. Your best bet is to wait for the next batch of home to be released in a few months and to make sure to keep tabs on how far along the development of these new homes is. These new homes will most likely have a new theme but which theme that will be is just guesswork at the moment.
  16. That's because your scripts do not contain the flame texture. I worked with what I had 🙂
  17. This is very quick and dirty and leaves LOTS of room for improvement, but it works. All I did was combine the 3 scripts and fix an issue or two to make the script work. Again, there is a lot of room for improvement, but I'm afraid that RL will not allow me to add more time to this. float transparency = 50.0; float changeBy = 100.0; float volume = 1.0; //Set the sound effects volume (0-1) float rate = 0.3; //Set the speed of the animation in frames per second integer light_s = TRUE; vector lightcolor = <1.0, 0.75, 0.5>; float intensity = 1.0; // 0.0 <= intensity <= 1.0 float radius = 10.0; // 0.1 <= radius <= 20.0 float falloff = 0.01; // 0.01 <= falloff <= 2.0 float glow = 0.30; toggle() { float thisglow = 0.0; light_s = !light_s; if (light_s) { thisglow = glow; llLoopSound("3643f41e-fc7b-d44c-120a-35a9aecb4de7",volume); } llSetPrimitiveParams([ PRIM_POINT_LIGHT, light_s, lightcolor, intensity, radius, falloff, PRIM_FULLBRIGHT, ALL_SIDES, light_s, PRIM_GLOW, ALL_SIDES, thisglow ]); llSetColor(lightcolor, ALL_SIDES); } default { state_entry() { llSetText("", <1.0, 1.0, 1.0>, 1.0); toggle(); } touch_start(integer num_detected) { llStopSound(); //Stop the sound before toggle. toggle(); llSetTextureAnim(ANIM_ON | SMOOTH | LOOP, ALL_SIDES, 1, 1, 0, 1, rate ); } changed(integer change) { if (change & CHANGED_OWNER) { llResetScript(); } } }
  18. Yes, it is possible (and preferred!), and the way to do that is to combine all the scripts into one. I (or we) could help you with that, but we would have to see the scripts.
  19. The way to make a tattoo glow is to make the tattoo layer of your body to glow. To do this, you need to edit the body, select the tattoo layer and set the desired glow amount. This is the only way unless the HUD of the body in question has the option to set glow on the tattoo layer.
  20. The link on the page is a SLurl to your home. It also shows which region your Linden home is in. If you can't TP by clicking the link, try the following: 1 - Right-click the link, then copy it and paste that link in the "start at" box on the login page of Firestorm. This should make you log in right at that location. 2 - If that didn't work for one reason or another, make a note of the region and coordinates that this page says your home is in, then log in, open the map (ctrl+m), find that region, and teleport to it. Let me know if any of this helped or not.
  21. There are also many offline text editors for various operating systems that know LSL, Pastebin also knows LSL, and I know I have come across forums that are LSL-aware. The SL Wiki, as well as the OpenSim wiki, know how to handle LSL and many other online services and offline software can deal with LSL. So why not the SL forum? Surely it should be possible to take a copy of one of the default highlighting definition files, modify it to highlight LSL and deploy it. (With "knowing LSL" I mean, of course, that it has syntax highlighting for LSL.)
