  1. The trigger for region (not sim) crossings is CHANGED_REGION
  2. Took a pic of the houses so far.... ... And of the regions that the houseboats are going to be put in (SSPE90 and SSPE106, not yet visible on the map as I write this) New regions added in today are SSPE89, SSPE90, SSPE105, SSPE106 and SSPE107. If there are more, then I missed it.
  3. That's not quite the kind of genres I would expect from a DJ who named herself after the Ice Queen
  4. What you would need are fitted mesh/fitmesh piercings. You can find some on the marketplace. I bought mine from Tam's Trousseau, but I'm sure there are others.
  5. I came across this screenshot of the 1984 movie Electric Dreams, in which Miles, the protagonist, had mistyped his own name as Moles during the computer's setup, and therefore the computer addresses him that way. I would like to tag all of our own Moles, but that may be taking it a smidge too far
  6. /me wonders how one "houseboats".
  7. Well, it all started with Version 2 of the viewer. It was bulky, the GUI took up a lot of screen space, everything looked and felt different from viewer 1.xx, the color scheme had completely changed and whoever coded it had NO idea of how the existing users were using the viewer, instead the coders tried to impose upon us how THEY felt the viewer (and thus SL) should be used. I was told that this was because LL had outsourced the coding of viewer 2 but I have a hard time accepting this explanation because LL had to sign off on the new viewer after all. But even with all that aside, the LL viewer only has a basic feature set, perhaps good for those that have only basic requirements, but once you want to get more flexibility (or if you are a Linux user) you will have to use a third party viewer. This makes the TPV look better, and people will say that the LL viewer sucks. There is no way LL can (or will) salvage the image of their viewer. It is designed to be basic and to remain basic. That's just the way it is.
  8. That is very clear, thank you! This would mean that an MP link should not be met with any kind of objection. I don't care about getting a percentage of any sales anyway, all I care about is of people have access to the items they need to play.
  9. Crap. you are right. I seem to inadvertently have overlooked the part where it says that. I see it now upon re-reading. It says: That makes it not easy to have 7seas on my parcel. I can hide some of the things, but there's a branded FAQ giver which I think gives valuable info about the game but it can be construed as advertisement. I did notice though that Patch wrote the post with creators in mind, but aside from the mention of yard sales, there doesn't seem to be a mention of non-creators. So I am still kinda wondering... I am still not going to rez a vendor though, I will not risk it nor will I try to force the issue. But it still makes me wonder.
  10. Remember when I posted the following? Patch posted the following in response to this and other posts and comments: So... No vendors but as I read it, I could/should set up a LM giver that directs people to the 7seas store if they want to buy rods or bait. Which I am perfectly fine with. It's good to have some more clarity πŸ™‚
  11. You've just put into words what I have intuitively known for a while. Thank you!
  12. I had a puppy once. It was delicious!
  13. Are you 100% certain you are at the right parcel? When you check the parcel's properties, does it show you your name somewhere?
  14. In an interview with the Belliserian, Patch Linden said the following: I like how he seems to hint that there will be more than 4 themes, although time will tell if that will actually materialize.
  15. Okay, and do you mean items on the Marketplace, or in an in-world store/vendor? If you mean in-world, then there's no such way to tell. If you mean on the MP, then the best that you can do is go into the merchant's MP page, and sort the list of items by date.
  16. That's a long way around to ask if Houseboat X is the same size on parcel A as it is on parcel Q. The answer to that is, yes, there are 4 boat types which are used all over Bellisseria. Your rez crate would work on parcel A in region X as well as on parcel B in region Y, as long as you use the same boat type as the rez box was set up for.
  17. I recently bought a 7seas fishing kit and set up the server on my land. When someone mentioned that I should also set up the bait/rods/etc. vendor, I mentioned that it would count as commerce, which is prohibited in the covenant. But when I tried to find that part so I could quote it, it was nowhere to be found. Then again, Jeremy may not have gotten around to updating the knowledge base yet. Unless stated otherwise by LL, I think it would not be unreasonable to assume that the "live" covenant takes priority over the KB, because that's basically the sign posted on your door, or like the landlord's note shoved through your mailbox. Now, let me make absolutely clear that I am NOT advocating stores on Bellisseria, but IMO it should be fine to rez a vendor if that is a rather important part of something which enhances your parcel (like the 7seas system for instance). I think that a limit of three 3rd party vendors, of three different merchants, selling a maximum total of 30 items (just plucking a number out of thin air for this last one) would be reasonable, provided that the location will not be used solely for these vendors. Vendors giving out free items would be exempt, provided that the location is not solely used for the distribution of freebies. Or a set of rules somewhere along these lines to make sure that the use of vendors and such do not get out of hand. Surely LL can do better than me making up rules and guidelines about this. But the rules will have to be clear and prevent Linden Homes from being used as storefronts or as a freebie dungeon.
  18. Open the estate management console and change the water level. If you have no access to the estate tools, then I'm afraid you are out of luck.
  19. If you had paid attention, they have introduced homes for premium members way back in 2010. You could have taken one of those.
  20. It's coming soonβ„’...ish.
  21. Just an idea off the cuff, how about an "old farts party" on Bellisseria where everyone is supposed to come as an old person with walkers, canes, scooters, and of course, grey/white hair, etc. Poking fun at our age πŸ™‚
  22. "Second Life. Where you can party all night and still be in bed by 8" πŸ™‚
  23. Also, the presence of the many 60s, 70s, and 80s themed clubs on SL can serve as a sign of the presence of these age groups. No way that you can make me believe that these clubs are run and frequented by mostly 20-year-olds πŸ™‚
