I never thought I'd get to be a disney princess -and yet, here we are...

That was helpful indirect information but "not a fact on the ground yet".

Patch had some tie to Disney IIRC but honestly, Second Life is simply too small beer for a thing like Disney or Conde Nast or Facebook to buy. If they couldn't buy The Sims Online, which had many more people and more revenue and was attached to EA Games ultimately, then...honestly, be realistic.

The Afghan restaurant near me closed after we had been going there for 30 years. The two brothers (refugees who were loyal to the King) were getting up in their 80s and their nephew ran it into the ground by changing the menu to be more "Persian". Sad.

We should let it become more like Lord of the flies.

There are no girls in Lord of the Flies.

Cuz they were too smart to get on that plane, and instead got together for a PJ party, where they played The Game of Life, ate popcorn, listened to Chappell Roan songs, and did each other's nails.

Who's in? It sure beats what's happening here.

(Sorry, no boys. Here, have a spear.)

Look on the user group wiki page like the rest of us do.......

I was not asking about a user group.  The Land Concierge User Group of which I am a member and usually attend, is not the Community RoundTable meeting I was asking about.  There has been only one official Community Roundtable Meeting in May with Brad.  The June Roundtable at SL21B was cancelled.  The Land Group won't answer questions that are outside of their activity.  Of course someone will ask where are the lindens, and they will say, well there are two of us right here.  Vacations and future planning are most likely.  SL and Disney have a few interests in common.  :)

Monday, July 1st at 11:30am PT - Attend our second Community Roundtable at the SL21B Aquatorium with Executive Chairman Oberwolf Linden and Senior VP of Product Operations & Marketing Patch Linden. Our Community Roundtables give you the opportunity to connect directly with our top executives, share your input, and discuss ideas on enhancing Second Life. This initiative represents another step in our efforts to improve our community interactions, ensuring that your voice is more directly heard and valued.
POSTPONED: The scheduled SL21B Community Roundtable event has been postponed. Stay tuned for an announcement on the new time and date. In the meantime, we've extended the deadline to submit questions in advance at https://second.life/sl21b061024

So's your mother.

Who wears army boots!

That reminds me of an exchange in a fantasy novel by an English redhead called Mary Gentle.

Dwarven Besieger "Orc Scum!"

Orc Defender "You called?"

Dwarven Besieger "Your mother wears army boots!"

Orc Defender "Doesn't everyone's?"

So what is the Second Life marketing team doing lately? Not doing Lab Gab, not doing Social Media, not doing SLBN posts. What's up?

Maybe they are having a summer break after SL21B. We did have Meet the Linden meetings last month.

With the exception of a blogger network post on July 3rd. There has been no social posting since June 28th (social casino relaunch).

The mobile client has received no substantive update since it launched on June 28th (rendering tweaks on iOS 17th July).

There has been nothing about when the rescheduled SLB final keynote with Patch & Oberwolf might take place

Social media silence has been noticed by bloggers.

The last time this happened was because of the mud slinging medium article .. um ...

You all ok back there?

I'm actually kind of glad there isn't anything else that's new just yet..

It's been coming in faster than I can absorb it.

With it being so quiet right now, I might just go to the beach and soak it all up now.. hehehe

I love that show.. hehehe

Still comedy gold.

I was a sensitive lad, these people bothered me because they were gruff and/or yelled a lot: Granny Clampett, Lou  Grant (Mary Tyler Moore's boss), and Archie Bunker.  I definitely couldn't watch reruns of The Honeymooners, and could barely tolerate the 3 Stooges!

Maybe they just forgot to pay the light bill?

Well Linden Labs has multiple Labs, I read it on the forums so it must be true. Dread to think how much it costs to power all those labs.

All those older shows like that, it seemed like everyone had to almost yell or something.. I think they had to do that because they were in live audiences and didn't have the  close up sound quality  like today. So the ones that were supposed to be the loud ones probably had to really be loud to stand above the rest.

hehehe

Has anyone checked google maps to see if there is a smoking hole in the ground where the main office was located?

I have some insider information, the bots they left in castaway cove have taken over.. it was only a matter of time.

I really need to get out to Atlantic City. There's a bus that leaves from near my house for like US $18 now I think that includes a coupon for a free dinner (normally $4.95) and some chips. Or maybe I should go to Connecticut on THAT bus. I did that one year and didn't play any of the slots, I just took all the coupons and ate the meals, shopped, and lounged at the pool lol.

Bring your phone and a charger, so you can keep up with the forums too. 😄

This was a bad idea to start with, and they probably just decided to junk it during the summer when no one would pay attention, and good riddance as it is entirely fake.

When they cancel their unpaid fanboys and fangirls ( because nobody else was allowed on the network ), that's NOT a good sign.

Relying on email spam, seems like they know lots of people have that turned off, and thus won't see the "bad news" when it drops, and thus won't complain about it.

Outstanding.

Unpaid, but I think a study of the ad revenue boost these fanboyz and fangirlz get from being advertised on secondlife.com is in order.
