  1. Hi Innula. My 20% source is nebula at best and should be taken with a grain of salt. If I remember correctly, I got it off a old SLU post many years ago.
  2. This is actually a large problem for child av. At least once a week someone on the discord group we have someone will report some adult avatar sending out IM's to lure child avatars away to adult locations.
  3. Well even I doubted it is 20% now. I did state that too. It might have been that in the past and I did read that a long time ago. But My point being, we are a significant part of the user base. A large enough percentage that we can't be simply dismissed.
  4. Actually, I choose my avatar for a therapeutic outlet. In my case a lost child in RL.
  5. It is way higher than the single digits. Just most of you don't see us because we go places where we are not harassed.
  6. I think this is probably one of the biggest issues that face my community. Even we are just sitting around some place chatting, if we are in a group we'll have some adult avatar make inappropriate comments to us in IM. Probably more AR reports are filed by members of the child av community than any other group in SL. We should also put the myth aside that we are a "small minority" in SL. Child avatar make up a significant portion of the SL user base. I've heard as high as 20% in some cases, but even I doubt that it's that high. So, matter the true number it's pretty significant, or LL would just ban all child avatars all together.
  7. Most of us don't care about adult regions, we stay clear of them because of their nature. Most of us could care less about that. What I'm seeing now is a call for more restrictions that would keep us out of the most common sim type. Again there is no way you can spin more rules on a significant part of the user base and make it fair. What I'm taking away now is my community is going to be subject to another witch hunt based on the size of the avatar some of us play, all over nothing we had anything to do with.
  8. Here is what I took away from this video. I, someone that has had this hobby, been apart of this community for close to 13 years, I'm going to be punished for some made up story posted on some no name forum strictly based on the size of the avatar I play. Some who has been a paying member for those 13 years, on not one but two accounts, someone who embraced the premium pro account almost after it has was announced. That is what I'm taking away from this LabGab.
  9. An how exactly are they going to enforce that? If I put on a set of pointy ears and fairy wings am I still a child avatar or am I pixie? Same size or even smaller, but with wings. New rules and regulations are not the answer. What is the answer it clearing up the rules you do have, then enforcing them with a even hand. Punishing the rest of us over a small groups activities is not the answer. Also we are not even sure the actives of that accused group even happened at all. I don't think they did.
  10. Sex beds are not just the issue when it comes to furniture and child like avatars. All furniture is, or really anything you we sit on. A great deal of times you can't tell what furniture has adult animations in it, till you sit on it and start exploring the menu. Which can lead to some really awkward moments, if the poses are not clearly labeled.
  11. Well first of all anyone playing a child avatar in SL is not a child in RL I'm a scripter in SL with much more experience that any child would have. By your logic by being a child avatar I can't write scripts in SL? Does that make much sense? Children in RL don't attend advanced classes in building and sculpting. Since this is so, I shouldn't be able to attend classes at the BB or even teach classes if I chose too? Children in RL don't DJ but I know plenty of child av that do this in SL. Do you mean we need to stop doing that. As a child avatar I host an event every Tuesday night in SL where we all get together an listen to old radio shows from the early part of the 20th century. By your logic I should not be hosting that show and be in bed? Outside of the restrictions placed upon childlike avatars, which I agree with, and sexual conduct in the TOS, a child avatar is nothing more than and normal but short avatar an should be treated as such.
  12. This is one of the things I'm questioning. When I sighed up for PP account, I remember it as "texture uploads are free." I don't remember it as, "some texture uploads are free."
  13. BlueBerry is a huge brand in SL. I hope she doesn't just decide to pull the plug on it and vanish as a number of creators do. If she decides to not be involved in the line any more I hope she passes it on to another owner and creator. Sad to just let a successful business and brand vanish.
  14. For the record it clearly states in our covenant that pictures are allowed but video isn't without permission. Our covenant hasn't changed in 9 years.
  15. We did not give consent, in fact we sent him, in writing, well a notecard, that he didn't have consent to video our estate and he still doing it. I'm done playing nice with this guy. I just got off the phone with support and brought this to their attention. There suggestion was to continue to file AR reports and it she would bring it to the governance board attention. I've files 12 today against him and his alts, 1 harassment and 1 doxing information in profiles. He is now creating accounts to get around our bans, This crosses the line into stalking and harassment. Others are filing similar reports. As of this counting I know of about 24 AR that have been filed. I'm done with youtube doing nothing. He is showing profiles with real life information, recording copy righted pictures and information for his videos. I've scheduled a meeting with my lawyer on Friday to send youtube a letter on the subject and see what my other legal options are. If they won't pay attention to their own system, maybe a physical letter from a attorney will get their attention.
