To whom it May concern. My avatar name is Gliese581, I am currently 10 years and 6 months old in SL, to be honest, I don't really know what my first life and second life are. I live from my job in SL for about 5 years, and it allows me to have a high quality of life in RL and without stopping to grow year after year., I have thousands of friends and a few hundred very good friends within SL, I connect daily and spend about 10 hours a day on average in Second life. With my age as an avatar, I have seen practically everything within SL.

Sadly, despite my continuous growth for the better in SL, I detect that every day I see fewer new accounts, a few years ago it was normal to see profiles of new avatars, weeks or months old, something that is becoming more difficult every day. , in turn, the current SL profiles are aging in RL, those who started in their 40s, are now in their 60s, those of 50, s in their 70s, etc. I understand that you are aware of this situation.

Now in all the media, a "messiah" called Mark Zuckerberg appears, who all he wants is to make a Second Life 2.0 and call it Metaverse, and coincidentally the media, (at least here in my home country Spain), Now and only now, they are discovering SL, this week on 2 national televisions in prime time, SL has appeared, and many people who are watching these programs do not give credit to understanding that almost 20 years ago a metaverse was created, a metaverse in which, for example, a professor of medicine at the University of Malaga, has been using the second life platform to teach his students for more than 10 years. that a person like me, has been in a metaverse called SL for 10 years, that he earns his salary every month, and that for years he has not been interested in any business in real life anymore, and that he will never leave Second life as his way to earn a living, and I think the list of examples of avatars using SL to good effect, would be endless.

The media speak that Second life started very well, but that currently the final result has not been or was not what was expected.

I personally do not agree 100%, many people who started SL and abandoned it, treat us like "dinosaurs", Obsolete !, they cannot be more wrong !!

My experience in Second life living in a virtual world, and with the current constant bombardment in the media talking about Metaverse and Facebook, has made me start investigating this new metaverse that Facebook intends to build, how curious! Facebook is selling Smoke right now and nothing else.

Second life is NOT obsolete, Second life is 20 years ahead of Facebook, Meta or whatever you want to call it ...
To my understanding, Second life needs to be known and sold as the true Metaverse. something that unfortunately is not happening at the moment. Most people born in the 2000s don't know what second life is, and that's the biggest potential for clients/users  for SL
Likewise second life has to migrate from being sold as a video game and being sold as the authentic METAVERSE.

I know that you guys  made an attempt with SANSAR, but once again you were ahead of your time. Besides, why create something totally new, when you have already done it?

All media I see around is relating Metaverse to SL as reference, come on!! SL is still alive and kicking!
you guys got the most value keys for metaverse! Use it!!!

Under my understanding Second life is an untapped gold mine!

Thank you very much for your attention.

* I will never leave Second life as long as my health and age RL allow me, like those 50,000 avatars on average that we connect every day. but I think that SL is ahead of any other current metaverse or to come, there are almost 20 years of history and work of thousands of Avatars like me.
Second life should have MILLIONS of profiles, it is in your hands that this continues, the potential of SL today is not comparable to any other competitor.

It seems you haven't known Zuckerberg's cloud party experience.
Nobody seems to remember.
Do you want some advice from a friend?
The metaverse is not an exclusivity of the first who understood it. The metaverse is a common experience.
However SL is the platform that up to now expresses it in the best way.
What viewer do you use here in SL?

Do you mean this Cloud Party? The one I used to be a part of?

Yes, I remember. I left right before Cory sold it to Yahoo.
