  1. Does the veiculo you want to buy have to fly or just walk with wheels or paws?
  2. Yes sure. Then in the end I didn't become a real bartender. I know how to make dry martini and a couple of other things well. To cool the cup, they taught me to sink it into ice while preparing the drink and then take it out only when I poured the cocktail. However this is a very valuable slice of American culture. The American bar is a true art that unfortunately in Italy people have never really learned to know and appreciate, there are few people in these parts who can really give satisfaction to a barman.
  3. The long-standing dispute over the martini cocktail. The martini, the real martini is made in the mixer. The shaker has nothing to do with it. Ian Fleming was ignorant of the matter. All the best bartenders have written it in many authoritative publications. I worked for two seasons on a small island in the Mediterranean and a great barman and above all the customers who knew something about it taught me the art of martini. You have to let the ice taste a few drops of vermout and then throw it in the sink. Then add the gin and make him love the ice. Then there is a whole other story about how to treat the cup with ice and lemon twist.
  4. Is Elon your cultural reference? That guy that Twitter and the Auschwitz Memorial spanked for posting disgusting memes like just any noob? I am not surprised.
  5. Dude it was you who threw it on the ironic by adding lust, James Bond and martini cocktails, showing that you don't care about local customs and therefore you don't really want to appreciate a culture different from yours but just enjoy a kind of work holiday scrounged to your company . I don't understand the projection on SL and the anarchists but ok.
  6. I imagine you with Bermuda shorts and a Hawaiian shirt taking a budweiser in Munich or a cuba libre in Venice. 😂
  7. The grotesque thing is that it is you, and the little club you proudly belong to, who take the discussions off the rails. If this way of doing it is your sense of belonging to a community I believe that instead of pulling out the teacher's card you should reflect on the nature of your idea of community. All this, however, somehow also connects to the discussion that was quietly taking place. But now I'll silence you. Good day.
  8. Tama has her own personality and expresses herself however she wants. I don't need to adjust to anything and I'm not afraid of anyone's judgment in real life, let alone on a small forum. If you want to handle something try doing it with a part of your body, perhaps you will have more useful results for yourself. That said, I'm going back to the ancient technique of silencing disturbing elements who spend their days looking for a target to unload their frustrations on.
  9. The same goes for me. Perhaps it is an unfortunate or fortunate awareness that people like us cannot avoid acquiring.
  10. But I wasn't condemning the tourist experience. I have been and will be a tourist too, precisely because I love that feeling of joyful tingling in the stomach and the intrpid expectation to immerse myself in something new and surprising. I have never lost what you have beautifully synthesized with the bright-eyed wonder and luster. As you yourself said, even as tourists we take within ourselves a small piece of the new culture we visit. It's a nice thing, but it's just a small piece, a nice souvenir. It is not true knowledge of another country. I have lived in England and Japan for years and still there are things about their cultures that I cannot completely understand or accept. Ultimately I just wanted to say that as a tourist you can't really say you know another culture. You can't really get an idea of a people through a nice taxi driver who treats you like a good customer as he takes you from the airport to the hotel.
  11. I am having a peaceful and respectful discussion with a user. I don't understand what your problem is Alwin. Or maybe yes but I can't solve it for you.
  12. The world seems small only to those who have superficially looked at it as a tourist and are convinced that they have really known it.
  13. Try to see it from the right perspective you are a repentant troll and that makes you an even more productive weapon. I know well that you just need someone to give you satisfaction. Do not give up! Continue on your way, is the one!
  14. Trolls are Second Life's last resort! If we want to save our metaverse we need to form a union that protects and develops this resource.
  15. Gorgeous! Has your company ever sent you to india? Expenditure would probably also include coins you would throw at poor children on the street.
  16. I apologize if I misunderstood you. I think I can say that the best experiences in SL are the occasional ones that happen by chance with random trolls. Those are real, rare and precious pearls of knowledge from a different culture. The rest is relegated to an asset imposed by a private company.
  17. This is not a strong point of SL. Here you don't really meet the world. Here you only meet wealthy folks who can afford the luxury of wasting time on an online game that requires expensive hardware. It is probably a beautiful thing, but it has nothing to do with meeting different cultures and different humanity.
  18. One of the best digestives, I love it. Although I must admit that I like the Jägermeister better. However, I prefer to take the medicine as an aperitif.
  19. I know the British quite well, too. But I was lucky enough to meet them doing menial jobs and therefore for me getting a black cab was an unsustainable luxury. I think you missed the best of the British, sorry.
  20. My social experiment seems to have but one result. And honestly I'm starting to feel some sense of compassion.
  21. I don't think it's appropriate to have an argument with a person who has a stop sign filled with bullets. Maybe you want to have a discussion outside of this forum. I don't see it as a threat anyway. I have only one question: Is your account here the same as Second Life?
