I used to feel that way, too.

While I still don't understand it, child avatars are not necessarily pervs, and that is why the policy won't (or shouldn't) change. Many adults in child avatars want nothing to do with sex.

But I get your angst, and I sure understand your skin crawling.

That's why a change in rules would be so nice. If adult sims would disallow child avies, there would never be any confusion about it.

I abandoned the place I was in and moved to another adult region and ended up with a freaking orphanage next to me. And on the other side of that? A sex club

Have that same feeling on SL Flickr streams every now and then. People filling up their stream with the most explicit SL sex pic's (which is fine) but then every now and then put in a lovely family pic with the kid. Its a bit like a porn site where every now and then a pic shows up with a happy family, mom, dad, and the kids. Nothing wrong with the pic itself, but the context is so questionable.

As soon as a pic with a child in it, doll or avatar, shows up on my Flickr feed, that's an immediate ban and block. I want no association with it whatsoever. I don't want to see it, and I don't want them seeing my explicit photos.

The grid is overloaded with bots, AFK-campers and Chicken Littles.

I'm willing to bet at least 5000 of them, are bots and multi client AFK parkers.

SL has been on a slow (very slow) decline for many years.  That is no secret.  The charts show that the logins are pretty consistent, even if it is a slight downward trend.  Even so, SL still has a lot of years left in it.

I wish they would spend a little bit of this money and do some advertising like in the old days. With all the progress SL has gone through and all the newer content like mesh bodies and heads... its sure to bring in some new people if they would just spend a few bucks on an advertising campaign and if the community is willing to help new people with the learning curve.

General sims have sexual content, so there's nowhere child avatars can go and be away from sexual content. The age ratings aren't working as they currently stand, because they're not being enforced for the most part. I'd like to see this change, but it'd also be nice to have a system that's more granular. Then people could state what makes it a certain content rating.

Yes exactly.

Yes yes yes yes yes. One that is enforced.

There is nothing for a child avatar on A rated land that could not be served by M rated land.

It doesn't have to be a ban-hammer offense, if the report is valid (as in the screen shot shows the person with a child avatar on A land), then just bump them back to G,M and force them to tick a box to re-enable A access.

Clear, concise, enforced rules.

It's not like I could expect to get away with wandering around nakie on a G region, so how is this different.

A while ago I ARd that sleazebag next to your shop but nothing's been done about it.  Not much makes me angry in SL any more but the gradual erosion of standards does.  LL needs a stronger, larger Governance team.

[Edit]  I ARd again, for what it's worth. :(

Yeah, there's nothing I can really do about that, but I do feel more positive since getting the new shop finished. If I'm going to need to wall myself in, it's good to have a wall I like rather than a basic prim box.

Slightly above 30k+ online in world at 11pm+ , is everyone being healthy and sleeping early or SL is losing out to RL? I remember it was almost 80K+ when i first joined SL. 😪

I think it just depends on what time of day and what day you log in. I frequently see anywhere from 26k+ to 51k (not sure I've ever seen the number go much over 51k, but it probably has).

Then again, with so many events that were on at the same time recently, perhaps everyone's just shopped-out and needs a break.
