  1. Those who insist on having every HUD (head HUD, body HUD, AO HUD, dance HUD, yada yada yada) in their inventory attached 24/7/365 when they're not using them (major lag contributor).
  2. I think the thinking goes that SL's a luxury, not a necessity therefore, it's deemed a bit silly of us to complain. I do hear you, though - have even thought along similar lines myself on occasion but then realized nothing's forcing me to stay in SL so if I don't like it, I can either lump it or leave. Death, taxes and greed are about all one can rely on in life - until something better comes along.
  3. Some club owners just need to drink more prune juice.
  4. Exactly right. Customers have a lot more power than they think and they're entitled to warn their friends, ignore, unfollow, stomp their feet and otherwise have a general hissy fit. Also, what you describe - if I'm not mistaken - seems to be a new 'scammy' trend with many creators (who have already shot their prices up recently) and when I see one using it - no matter how much I may have loved their stuff in the past - I add their name to my 'friends-to-the-end-but-this-is-the-end-my-friend' list. These people need to get over themselves (that includes unprofessional 'DJ's' guilting people into tipping). The world isn't the same anymore. So many are out of work and only in SL on free accounts (as I said elsewhere) to help relieve harsh reality for a couple hours. The sooner creators stop using their butts for hats, the sooner they'll stop losing customers. Word - whether they like it or not - gets around.
  5. Exactly why I don't bother with clubs anymore. DJ's knew what their expenses would be before they chose to become a 'DJ' - absolutely no excuse to guilt people into tipping them. Customers have expenses too and many have lost their jobs, so they're in SL on free accounts just to help them forget their hardships for a little while, so DJ's really need to pull their heads out of their butts and eat a dose of humble pie.
  6. Gentle smiles are ok - like Cerka's above - but the rictus 'smile' most seem to aim for, is - well, I guess it's a personal choice but maybe don't be surprised if both children and adults (like me) run screaming.
  7. Not sure you read what I wrote, but its late and Im too tired to keep explaining. In any event, who has the time for all of that hassle and drama?? I can only wish I had the luxury of that kind of time to waste!
  8. I had actually done that. The result was the new viewer has taken over. I only look dumb, but thanks anyway.
  9. Will have to check that when I log in next. I did find that turning off atmospheric shaders gave some fps back, but not much and not for very long, so its probably the water thing, as you said.
  10. 1. I regularly back up FS. That did exactly nothing. 2. No idea. Havent had time yet to chase my tail looking up technicalities so will have to take your word for it. 3. Again, I dont have a problem with FS or anyone else doing the eep dance. They originally said we would have the option - which I took to mean either use the beta version with eep or the regular version without it.
  11. Yes, but thats not the issue though. The issue is that they originally said a few months or so ago that they wouldn't force it on us - that basically the option to use either the normal FS viewer or one with EEP (the Beta one, I assume) would remain in place. Im glad your fps has increased though. Mine hasn't but that isn't the only problem. Its difficult to log out (as in, it just wont, it freezes instead) and the viewer often randomly seizes up for several seconds at a time. I guess its not that big a deal really. SL isnt a must-have in my life really.
  12. Just my two cents worth, but FS forcing an EEP version after telling us they wouldn't and that it would remain optional, is reaching a whole new kind of low. I installed it - instantly regretted it - now cant revert back to the previous version because its overwritten everything and wont let me. Its time-wasting, hideous and an fps hog; fps was upwards of 60 at home, but now struggles to reach 15. At home! With no one else around! Buh-bye sim photography - really the only reason I had for staying in SL; I dont do clubs, vanity photography gets really old really fast fast - and the thought of learning Blender for any reason other than self-punishment summons forth The Mother of all Migraines. Geeks and nerds; they've just got to be startin' somethin' to ruin everyone's day, don't they?
  13. amara beauty only makes full bom skins.
  14. These heads took me by surprise. Did not want to like them - because I was already Genus and LeL comfort-zoned (two destinations that took me long enough to reach as it was) - but instead fell in love with them. Fell. In. Love. I guess the bottom line is whether a person feels the time involved for a new learning curve and the $ investment is of value to them for what amounts to a pixel hobby. Still don't understand the animations hud (and probably wont ever use it anyway - have always found facial animations in general to be a bit cringeworthy - just show me where the off button is and I'm happy). After messing around with and being totally enraptured by the extra sliders, then using the share option to send the shape to a friend standing nearby, I suddenly understood why these heads are a bit more pricey (L$5910 or $26.00 USD) - aside from the fact that the HUD seems much more fluid and responsive. Also love that there's only one item to put on - the head. No teeth/eyes/jaw etc to hunt down in a folder and then attach - its a no fuss, all-in-one thing. It does seem nigh on impossible for me to tell the difference between MajerSoft and MajerEdged though. Only thing Id say is that it would be lovely to be able to control the actual shape of chins themselves (the pointy witches hat bit) - and the sharply angular jawline (down the sides) to help balance out the hard-boiled-egg, Paul-the-Alien head shape that seems increasingly prevalent in SL. The first creator to give us the editing power to do something about those will no doubt amount to god-status. Those two little niggles aside, I love these heads so hard.
  15. Perhaps they're unable to for some technical reason? I did just manage to log in but it was only for a few seconds and then crashed again.
  16. Just discovered the same issue here too (Australia) - cant even bring up a support ticket - all those links and pages are dead.
  17. Yes thats what was happening to me but now Im unable to log in at all.
  18. Same. Was having crashing issues, but now cant log in at all.
  19. I do very much like the new Fleur head, possibly more than the rest of the Evo heads put together - but will always love Genus more. Plus, Genus still uses actual words on their huds...
  20. Not finding the lag or high complexity issues you seem to be experiencing with any of the LeLu Evo heads(?) but you can always create a copy of the head and delete the scripts to see if that helps/makes a difference. The HUD-only-BOM-only makeup and eyelash thing is a source of frustration for me with LeLutka Evo heads - it limits choices if you don't happen to find the lashes or lipstick on the HUD all that appealing. There are one or two creators who are making some applier cosmetics for LeLu Evo heads, but most of them (bar one or two) aren't all that great; it seems the enthusiasm just isn't there for these heads with cosmetics creators in general - not like there is with Genus. The flip side of that coin - as someone mentioned - is that with these heads, you really don't absolutely need to wear cosmetics, so if you can put up with the limited eyelash range and unappealing lipsticks, you'll be fine. Its all going to depend on the skin you choose, though - some skin brands can leave the lips looking a bit McGoo but you'll generally be ok if you stick with the well known, big brand names. Agreed - official detailed info is limited and lacking but I'm going to guess LeLutka think its a trendy irritant (like those creators who stopped including LMs in their product packaging because they think they're so big, everyone should know who they are and how to find them). Nope, not a lover of the new HUD either. To me, its an eyesore; spindly, unattractive and awkward as arse to get used to (used to it now though - still don't like it); a pokey little strip of a hud all in black and white with nothing but symbols isn't my idea of appealing. The old HUDs were 100% gorgeous, smooth as silk to use and so very professional looking. But, as my mother would say, there's no accounting for taste; its their product, they can make any or all of it as ugly as they want. Who are we lowly, unimportant customers to complain?
  21. Somebody really likes her boat? A lot??
