I tend to visit Dunvegan a few times a month, and it wasn’t yet like this last time I had been there. Great job! I can see the region has even more abandoned parcels than I surveyed (I gave up after hitting those two pink squares, one of which teleported me home with 0 seconds notice!), and actually it’s possible to reach the narrow passage to the edge of the void on southeast Dunvegan going around the parcel I painted red, past the SW of the region (there's a hill there but the Moles can bore it for a canal tunnel and a road tunnel under it, and make it look cool!). I did notice quite a lot of abandoned parcels north of this unpaved road that goes from Drum to Rumgally, some of them even connecting to each other, allowing a road to be brought to northeast Pitreavie, where there is abandoned coast, but it’s blocked by parcels in use on both sides (Wemyss and Freswick). Apart from that narrow slit at southeast Dunvegan I couldn’t any abandoned coastal parcel that could be used for a harbour or tunnel portal allowing a route connection to Ranchland.
Persephone Emerald
I hope the Land of Moonpie gets a lovely new connected parcel (maybe even coastal) if the owner makes a deal to trade their land. The LDPW could even add a new region, partially public & partially Land of Moonpie.

The only problem is that it's getting harder to know which thread to post land development news. Is it SSP, Connect the Continents, or the one about improving mainland?

I posted about that suggestion around region Knoll in the "Road repairs complete" thread because I thought it's where it makes more sense. It has nothing to do with Belli, so I didn't post here. I linked to it because that same parcel name, "Project Land", appeared a 2nd time at a possible connection site between Mainland and Belli. I check half a dozen threads here for public land improvement topics, but "SSP?" is where most fun is to be had! XD 1

Nika Talaj
I hadn't checked the SSP zone for a few weeks - summer! - but as of this morning, someone has been doing serious housecleaning. It appears that LL is clearing the decks to begin on a new theme soon, as Patch seemed to indicate will be happening. The large tile blocks of regions for both the Ranches and Meds have all been deleted, as well as many individual regions that had been kept around, without any apparent work being done on them, for many months, if not years. Again, at this moment someone is in both SSP Conspiracy III and the QA Vault regions, perhaps some work on a new style of home for existing theme(s). 2

Is it SSP, Connect the Continents, or the one about improving mainland? I would suggest using this thread for status updates and speculation on new (SSP) regions in Bellisseria. The point of "connect the continents" was to lobby for connecting the continents, primarily via protected water regions that could be used without further building for air and sea travel. With the exception of Zindra, which may never be connected, this is complete. Posts that give suggestions to LDPW on what they should be working on would be more effective in the feedback site... https://feedback.secondlife.com/ldpw Otherwise, should not discussions of General and Mainland issues be in those subforums?

diamond Marchant
For clarification, when I write "connect the continents" I refer to the ability to sail or fly from a parcel on one continent to a parcel on another via protected water parcels. My opinions are my own. In response to "Kindly please be quiet", request denied. 10

diamond Marchant
The Ranches Got an Airstrip A grassy airstrip has been built in Shark Pool, on the north west coast of the Ranches, between a SLRR station and a water rez zone (with freight building). The airstrip includes two rez zones, one of them is a helipad where the H is formed by flowers. There is also a watch tower. Bravo! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Shark Pool/140/65/23 (the pink wrapper is a construction aid) Edited July 8 by diamond Marchant 8
Nika Talaj
So.... after the big cleanup in the SSP zone, I see precisely one new region created. SSPTCR ... any thoughts on what that might be? It is located down near where the Victorian Community SSP region was. Wildest possible guess: "Traditional Community Region"? Hmmm ... there already is a gorgeous one, though, in Chippewa Junction. Hmmm. Edited July 9 by Nika Talaj 1
Cinnamon Mistwood
Token Curated Regions. You have to win a lot of tokens at Helios Casino and Lounge to afford a house there. Las Vegas themed, of course.

I think that's what it is too. There is a Community Region already for the Traditionals, but they might be planning to update it or add a second one where there is that big open field.

Nika Talaj
OK, well make your best guesses as to what these 2 oddities might be! They look brand new, since they don't even show covers yet on the map, but they're so far south of the main SSP zone that I'm not sure when they were created. They have numbers as if they're part of a new theme, but they also have that letter R, so they're sort of a new naming scheme. ETA: the numbers, 100 and 135, are suggestive of their being the first and the last regions in a new theme. New theme tile blocks have always been about 36 regions in size. Rufferta Mainlander
I took a ride from Shark Pool through part of the ranch area today, and was surprised by all the work that had been done since the last time I had been there. At one point, though, it looked to me as if the parcels were just too close together and the pattern layout was too regular. I know when houses are being framed the rooms always seem too small, so maybe these will look better after they've been completed. Note: When I teleported back for a second look I landed right in the middle of one of those green markers. When I flew up I saw the 'deco budget' device on top. I'll wait to come back until all the work has been done, because I don't want to get in the way, but I'm very curious to see how things will look when it's finished. One of those is the region I won an auction for the right to name -- and I agree that at this point in the build, they seem awfully crammed together. I am hoping that by the time the get the rest of the landscaping in they will look better and the vegetation will give a bit more separation between the houses. The one redeeming factor on each of these new regions is that half the houses on each region are coastal with the back yard facing west with a beautiful sunset view. I think perhaps LL is banking that people will want coastal sunset view more than they want some small feeling of privacy. Given the feedback I have seen on assorted forum posts, that may indeed be the case. But for me personally, atm they seem a bit more cramped that I am comfortable with. However I am hopeful that the mole vegetation, rocks, etc may help with that. It is hard to judge a build before it is done.

Assuming that "your" region is Teresas Fire, you should ask LL for the parcel you like best as it is about to be released. I won the naming rights to Owls Flight a while ago and asked for and was granted the parcel of my choice.

Yes, Kit Linden has already told me that when the region build is mostly done and they are close to release, I can choose any house I want on the parcel. Kit has been very helpful through the process, and helped me choose a name that follows the region naming rules. Owls flight is a great name. I like your choice. What theme was it?
