Cilian and his team have created scuba equipment, fully functional dive computers, and oxygen analyzers. They have been approved by PADI, the world's largest diver training organization, to use these simulations in Second Life to meet the practical application part of the PADI Enriched Air Diver course. Recent coverage for Dorian has included articles in Billboard, Paper, and Rolling Stone. 

Dorian will be discussing their music career and giving us a sneak peek at a huge multi-region music event that will be held in Second Life to celebrate the release of their latest single and video “Gentleman/M’Lady.”  The event, which is hosted by Onyx the Fortuitous and held in partnership with Club Cringe, will also include live DJ sets from several other established deejays including Dylan Brady, Count Baldor, DJ Chad, KO AKA Koala, BlvckJesus, Coucou Chloe and more. Second Life community members can join the event inworld on August 28th starting at 3pm PT/SLT or watch via live stream on Twitch.

Lab Gab is a talk show about the virtual world of Second Life. Join our host, Strawberry Linden on Friday, May 27th at 10am PT as she speaks with Carol Benovic-Bradley, the Director of Community at Flickr.

Launched in 2004, Flickr is a photo-sharing platform that has become an integral part of the Second Life community. Many members of our community find it to be their second virtual home, using the platform to share their digital art and virtual adventures. We’re excited to have the opportunity to speak directly with a representative from Flickr to learn more about their recent changes, hear about some new features they have in store for us, as well as getting some tips for setting safety levels properly. We’re also looking forward to learning more about the segmentation research they recently conducted on our community.

On February 14th, men and women in Second Life will join people across the world to Rise to protest violence against women, as a show of unity, individual strength, and the need for change. The Second Life event will feature a four-region stage where 200 people can come together to dance, surrounded by an area of art installations, an arena for poetry, a stage for dance performances, informational exhibits and free gifts. For the next month, you can watch an exclusive showing of its annual “5 Second Animation” shorts program within a massive cinema space in Second Life. The 90-minute production consists of dozens of edgy short animations produced by the talented Titmouse team.

Titmouse is known as the Emmy Award-winning maker of many of today’s most popular animated shows available across a wide number of cable and streaming outlets including “Big Mouth” on Netflix, “Star Trek: Lower Decks” on Paramount +, Adult Swim’s “Metalocalypse,” and  “Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures” on DisneyXD.

Several Hollywood industry insiders attended an April 23rd premiere screening of the show, which will continue to screen to the general public through May 24.
