Nordari. Small but beautiful. Custom windlight, both sky and water (to get the reflection) made by me. I can't take credit for the idea, tutorial here: http://zonjacapalini.wordpress.com/guides/mirror-water/ I did however tweak it a bit and uploaded another texture too.

OMGORGEOUS examples in here!

I've been building out Torley island... I find myself inspired by a mixture of minimalist mechanics + asymmetrical organicity. I was SO into it the other day while rezzing prims to the TRON: Legacy soundtrack. Come on over!

Marianne, it's been awhile since I used Picnik — I found it so fun and nicely integrated, although since they've been acquired by Google, I hope that doesn't take them away from Yahoo-owned Flickr.

Who is a Torley and what does it do? I'm ultra-friendly so CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT!

Neverwhere. A dark adult roleplay sim. http://secondlife.com/destination/neverwhere

They do have "Observer" titlers at the entrance, so it's not a problem to visit and only look as long as you are over 18. Amazing build. Remember to go underwater too.  If I get land again and decide to build a tropical forest, I will go to Neverwhere and inspect the plants, to find the creator. Windlight Ana Lutetia Studio (with thweaks) framing in Picnik.

ImperiuM Island (G) !

Heh, not only a great place for (learning) katanafighting, but there are also several secluded spots for a chat, chill or just hanging out! All are welcome!

@ Torley.

Nice thread & tutorial video. It makes me think, though, that a fun additon to the LL viewer would be a "Create Postcard" option. As you say, SL is largely a visual experience., so if we could send postcard images with an attached SLURL to our Facebook page, that might get more people interested in visiting this amazing world.

ETA

p.s. On second thought, some people might send naughty pictures for their postcards (imagining hentai scene). Maybe not such a good idea afterall.
