Once i thought i would be very clever and i got a free 3D model of a wind turbine in the internet and even managed to import it to SL. But i didnt know what i was doing, and so i ended up with a Land Impact of around 500, what rendered that object absolutely useless Back to topic. Would be nice, if you could split the whole thing into 2 parts (linksets) -the tower and the gondola (what remains static) -the rotor (thats what i will have to spin with a rotation script) Or you split it into 3 parts: Tower, gondola, rotor. Then one of my friends who is way smarter than me in terms of scripting, can make the gondola turn towards the wind automatically, while the rotor spins

Yes, its all about the vibe. Once one of my friends suddenly went totally nuts and agressively offered me to buy his account for 2500 LD. I was really surprised and told him, i have no intention at all to get a male alt and even tried to educate him about the fact its against the TOS to sell/share an account. But he kept pushing and ranting, telling me, i would be rich and i could afford it easily because i own this and that already... The story ended with him being removed from my friend list. If he would have told me "Damn, i want to get this item, but now i have to wait for a while, as i lost my RL job", things would have been way different and i would have supported him very likely (but still not buying his account).

Hi Tagar, in my opinion SL doesnt have enough green energy. I roamed the whole marketplace for low prim, but kinda detailed wind turbines, and didnt find anything pleasing at all. I would like to set up a windpark with some of the modern turbines, preferable the ones with the water drop shaped engine house from Enercon. There are no interiours needed of course, but adding some details like warning lights, a door at the bottom and at the engine compartment, and wind gauges would be lovely. If thats still too simple for you, you could build an offshore version too, with a different foundation at the bottom.

While in cryo sleep, you completely missed the time where we had to use appliers to add skins, makeup and tattoo to our mesh bodies. But thats not bad at all, as we have BOM (bakes on mesh) now, what allowes us to simply attach skins, makeup and tats like we did in 2010. You could try mesh lashes, and using Magika hair, as they are also less likely to interfere with other alphas surrounding you.

There are some bandaids you can use for getting less hurt at region crossings. I took off all things i really dont need while sailing, like the mesh body hud, what is she wearing HUD, and all that stuff i heard about people using like spankers or mama allpa ^^ I took copys of all my body parts and any attachments like hair, and deleted the scripts whenever it was possible to do so. And the boat got the same treatment, as i really dont need cuddle poses when i race the catamaran boat. Since then, crossings are very fast and smooth so far. And also Linden Labs did contribute to this, as they transferred blake sea regions to the cloud, what obviously also gave the whole thing a performance boost.

I dont even understand the half of the technical stuff you talk about, but probably the most of the money what could have been used to do what you just asked for, was going to be wasted for the walking/standup comedy simulator aka Sansar.

Its not like they didnt try. They developed a virtual walking simulator, what was slowly turned into a virtual standup comedy simulator. After some years, that dead money grave finally was sold to another company who thought, the Sansar concept will be succesful. 🤦‍♀️

In general you can fly over any region/parcel, unless it had the access list running, what would you make bounce off at the ban lines. What you cant do, is to fly over the voids (thats where you cant even see water ripples). Red marked. There is no region, nothing. its literally not existent. But you can teleport or go around that blind spot. blue marked.

Ohhh Lord... I joined SL when i was barely allowed to do so 13 years ago. And as i had not much money left over in RL at all, i spent the most of the SL time hanging with friends at sandboxes, building things myself with simple prims, or going to clubs (even winning some sploder money). Times did change since then. While you obviously grind in DU, i grind 38 hours a week in RL (you may call it an office job). That allowes me to spend XX USD every month on premium aka linden Home, a parcel at Zindra and an island at blake sea. Whats wrong about that? I do it because i can and because i want it. Maybe your cellphone is much better/newer than my 2 year old Huawei, what was for only 200 bucks back that day. You want me telling you, no one needs 6 GBs of RAM, just because i still have 3 GB of RAM? Really?

Just practice... and get your inspiration from RL, as your mix also happens in RL and not in SL. This may apply more to electronic music, but if you manage to make nice transitions, if you can make one song slide smoothly into the other one, then you are already ahead of 90% of all SL DJs. Most of them just string together their songs, and could easily be replaced by a deaf and blind bot.

you dont need another program. You can try in SL, before you even need to pay 10 for the upload. edit your tattoo and select the part. upper body, lower, whatever... Then you just click on Local - Add - and then you select it with the file picker. Click OK and save it to get a temp preview on your body.

I recommended the alt, because you wouldnt have to switch between outfits/bodies on your main avatar. But it works both ways, of course.
