Like you said, "Carribean" has a good vibe to it. Sun, beach, palm trees... "Germany" may work the same way in your ears. But, as soon as you arrive here, you will notice for example, that there is almost no free wifi, and if you pay around 25$ a month, you only will get 2-5GB of cellphone data volume. Its always good to watch the backside of glossy pictured postcards. There could be a harsh sentence, an ugly drawing or nothing at all.

In the past you had a pretty amusing way to troll the forum. What happened to you these days? -
Should a purchased mesh head look like the demo ?
Resi Pfeffer replied to Sox Bookmite's question in Avatar
I experienced the same problem like the thread starter described. A friend wanted to have head and shape what makes her avatar a bit looking like her RL face. So i went to Catwa and got the demo of the lilo head. I created a new shape, and spent one hour altering that (face) shape. After it was done, i gave the shape to a friend who uses the Lilo head already (bought at catwa for 5K). And guess what? It was looking completely different than being used with the demo head. I dont get it... -
No, its two worms, kissing a mushroom.

Full bento dances with facial animations - oh no!
Resi Pfeffer replied to Coby Foden's topic in General Discussion Forum
The general SL lag is sometimes so bad, what makes me even unable to notice, if people performing grimace dances or not... And 200K+ jelly dolls have no face at all. Back to topic: Face expressions are a general problem. The variety of bento faces and the shapes behind is so huge. There is no sweet spot to hit for a designer, i think. I even see the difference when i compare the same head with a slighty altered head shape... On the first head it looks friendly and natural, but on the other one just creepy. -

Klytyna might not have the most lovely way to say what she wants to say, but a slap to the face is more likely to wake up someone (if he/she survives that slap ). -
Dont some sims offer a visitor tag at the landing zone? Cant imagine you are being forced to rp... when in doubt, ask the owner or the RP group.

You started derailing by saying............. Ok, lets forget about it. Brings us nowhere. Make them by yourself. I run 2 microsoft xbox one kinect sensor cameras (25 bucks each at ebay), or up to 6 Sony eyetoy cams (10 bucks each at ebay) Mounted onto tripods and hooked up to 2 laptops by USB3, the cams filming your movements (ipi Recorder), and the amazingly easy to use software "ipi Mocap Studio" translates the captured data into an animation. The software is not that cheap, but it just works like a charm and you can test it for a month without any restrictions, before you need to decide if you want to spend the money. And how to fine tune the results, you will be teached in the animation forums, i think... Good luck, and if you create a decent one, i will buy it.

You will get a lot of reasons to laugh when talking about sex.

The one from Vista was just meant as a friendly recommendation, because you asked for animations without exaggerated movements. What brought you to an angry answer like this is your secret, and better keep your secret. But have fun with your rant, chapter is closed for me, too.

Check out Vista again https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/VISTA-ANIMATIONS-LARA-AO/7120371 Go there inworld and test the stands, especially #4. Its called VALARAST04 You might like it.

I have no idea, how the SL Viewer looks like at the moment, but the firestorm viewer already has a built in solution for your problem. Go to the Mocap stores, and buy only the individual animations you really like (not a whole AO or a set) and store them in your inventory. Maybe, you find one useful animation at Akeyo, two from vista and 5 from other stores... doesnt matter. buy them as individual items. Afterwards you open the viewer integrated AO, and then you just drag and drop your animations into it. Of course you can set up different sets for standing, sitting, running, and so on... And you never ever will have to attach an extra HUD.

Likes and or Wishes About Second Life
Resi Pfeffer replied to ToBeLovely's topic in General Discussion Forum
SL could open itself to some new/old technologies. If i want to shape a face to make it look like a RL person, i have to search for a head what comes at least a bit close to the original face. And then i have a hell of a time to move the sliders to make it looking as good as possible. But i never can get more than a 50% match, because i cant edit the angle or the curvature of the eyebrows, for example. There is a tool, what makes the creation of a 3D head as easy as possible. Take 3 good pictures. One from the front, and 2 from each side of your face. Upload it, tell the program, where is the center, inner and outer corners of your eyes, your nostrils, you ears.... and so on. Klick OK, and there it is... https://facegen.com/modeller.htm Its possible, to import this into SL? of course not... we are stuck to what lelutka and catwa thinks is good for us. I know, no one stops me from making my own bento heads, make them looking they way i want them to look. But its not something everyone wants to learn, and because of the steep learning curve, people like me are just not able to do it. -

Paying L$5000 for a Catwa head...is this normal?

Hi Necromancer, whats rational? Is it rational to spend your lifetime in an online world like second life? Should you not be out in the nature, hunting rabbits or collecting herbs? Why do you even post in this forum? Maybe you should widen your personal horizon... Spend your 20 dollar on cookies, titanium bolts or on 250 plastic spoons, but accept others buying a head for 20 USD. Why? Because they want to and because they can. -

Probably you´re right. The reality is faster than my thoughts... I also dont get it, why a list of names is better than a freely chosen name made out of 2 components. But lets keep grumble about it, to force Dakota to make another statement. -

Maybe i should point out the sarcasm in my last post. Or take it as an advice for LL to gain even more money, or to make people finally wander off to Sansar ^^ -

1. ALL new accounts will be created with a preset but well shaped mesh avatar. Whether your personal choice in viewers allows you to lower the avatar LOD to zero, all new accounts will be bound (no mod) to the chosen look you have made at signup. 2. IF a user chooses to become a Premium Member, they will have the option to detach prims and to attach alphas, making them finally able to become customers at maitreya and blueberry. -
You could check out a few items from Steelhead, if you are not willing to pay ~250 LD for a single colored piece of fashion (blueberry) Mostly fits great on Maitreya and always comes with a ton of different colors and patterns. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Steelhead-Back-Bay-Double-Breasted-Mesh-Dress-Suit/6732791 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Steelhead-Bear-Creek-Winter-Ensemble/8201960 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Steelhead-Sausalito-Sweater-Maitreya-AutoHide/7797742 Also worth a try is Hilly Haalan. Lot of naughty stuff, but still a lot of "casual" clothes. And of course, moderate prices and nice colors/pattern HUDs to give you a new look whenever you want. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/141517
