I want more groups - that's all, just more groups. If group chat is an issue, maybe there is a way to limit the number of groups that you have enabled chat on -- I currently have chat turned off for most of the groups that I belong to anyway. If permissions are an issue, maybe there is a way to create a type of group that has no ability to hold land and has limited roles/permissions available to it. Yes, I am just randomly brainstorming about ways to make it possible to give me more groups. I just want more groups.

Well, the past few days I've had a taste of what it may be like, simply because things have been so crazy busy that I haven't had a chance to do more than barely look at the forums during the day. The result is that I get home and have 2 pages of Notifications to read through. I'm really ready for retirement.

Probably not, based on what we have heard. Name changes will be an entire first and last name change, always picking a last name from the current list - and that list will never include any of the legacy last names (or so they said).

Set all of your graphics to super low and then you can play around with what things you can increase a bit without causing a freeze-up. Definitely don't expect too much from it.

Here is what we know so far about the upcoming ability to change usernames: - There will be a fee, though we do not yet know how much, nor do we know if there will be limits on how often you can do it. - There will be a list of last names to choose from and you will pick a first name of your choosing as long as the first-name.last-name combo is unique. - The list of last names will change periodically, like they did in the olden days. - Any existing last names will not be come back into play. - Once a name has been used, it will forever be associated with that avatar and thus cannot be used by anyone else ever. - No word on whether or not someone will be able to revert to one of their previous usernames. - LL will maintain a history list and there will be at least some sort of searching mechanism -- definitely the ability to search an old name and get the current username for that avatar, but maybe not be able to pull up a current name and get a list of any/all old names. - They are also creating a scripting command to do the lookup of UUID from a name because the avatar's UUID will not change and that is what things like security systems need to change to using (rather than using names). Finally, we do not know exactly when this will be available because they have to finish up some backend changes that this is dependent on - though it is supposed to be coming THIS YEAR.

I just tested using an alt and both a mod and no-mod box, each containing 2 no-copy items. In both cases, I was able to drag the Contents 'folder' from the object to my inventory, with the result of having the no-copy items in my inventory and no longer in the box.

TIL that I can copy actual no-copy objects out of a worn object by dragging the 'Contents' FOLDER from the item, rather than then individual items themselves -- because you cannot drag a single no-copy item out of a worn object. This solves the issue of unpacking a DEMO that contains no-copy items without having to TP home to do it.

The amazing thing is - Lil has not aged a day in all this time. She is still the same 30-yr old that she was the day she rezzed.

Just tested that: My transaction history still always shows where I am at the time of the payment; not the person I am paying. The person I paid is not a friend and has not blocked me. Side note - their transaction history also shows my location at the time that I made the payment. So basically, the transaction history always shows the location of the sender, not the recipient.

As much as I whine, it is quite common for us to get snow all the way through mid to late May. Winter coats are not put away until Memorial Day around here and winter bedding doesn't come off of the beds until the same time. Even if the lawn mower comes out in April, the snowblower stays handy until the end of May also. We often get late snows that bring down branches, or even entire trees, due to the leafing that has already happened. Most years, we get a snow & cold snap right after the trees and bushes start budding, which kills the buds and thus I almost never get to actually see the flowers. It was only a few years ago that we had a horrid snow and hard freeze on Mother's Day. I lost a huge 30-yr old bing cherry tree that day because the sap froze. We have had some beautiful days in the 70s already - that is what spoils me and makes me whine more when it goes icky again.

A few months over 11 years for my original avi and just shy of 11 years for Lil. From sometime in 2012 until early 2017, I only logged in about once a month and seldom stayed inworld long - that was my 'extended break' period. It was actually these new forums that got me back here and soon after that back inworld daily.

I was interpreting most of the 'downgrade basic' suggestions here to be only applicable to 'no payment info on file' Basic accounts. Anything that removes from any other type of Basic account would be bad on so many levels.

I was playing with settings last night, but so far, I have no clue.
