  1. Hi Tamara Artis, The Enhancements on the Checkout Page only show up if the order total is Zero Lindens so not everyone who places orders on the Marketplace will see those items.
  2. Greetings all! Most of the information that has been provided is correct, I am just taking this opportunity to consolidate it into one post. - Being able to see your own Enhanced Listing in the Scroller on the chosen page will depend entirely on how many other Enhanced Listings are on the same page at the same time. Obviously it will be easier to see your own item if there are less than 20 other items showing at the same time. - The Traffic Report is generated for the previous 24 hours. If you add a PLE to your item today, you will not see traffic numbers for the item until tomorrow. - Category Landing Pages may be more effective since your item is shown only to users who are already looking for the items in that particular category. This is usually the case if your item is a niche product or a product targeted to a narrow set of users. As with any type of Advertising Campaign, numbers should be crunched often. If you find that using a Category Landing Page is effective for your item, but the Homepage is not, then you should consider using the Category Landing Page Enhancements and not the Homepage. Some merchants use Homepage Enhancement for new listings, or for Demo/Free items as a way to grab the attention of users and draw them into their store and products. Homepage Enhanced items may not always translate into direct sales on the item that has the PLE, but it may drive overall sales to your entire product line because a user sees the Homepage Enhancement and then looks at your other items and purchases something different.
  3. Ladies and Gentlemen, We have chosen to lock this thread as the comments have gone off topic. If you wish to discuss design and layout issues, or search issues, on the Marketplace, please create new threads for those topics and continue the conversations in the appropriate thread. Thank you!
  4. Hello Alwin Alcott, At this time, Linden Lab is not looking to create a separate section on the Second Life Forums for Sansar. Sansar and Second Life are completely separate systems. Now that Sansar is in open beta, I am sure that the Sansar teams are looking to introduce a forum option for Sansar.
  5. SL Exchange was renamed to XstreetSL when Linden Lab took a more strict control over the use of SL and Second Life trademarks. XstreetSL was then acquired by Linden Lab in 2009, along with the now defunct OnRez Marketplace. OnRez was shut down. XstreetSL was then migrated to the Second Life Marketplace, and XstreetSL was subsequently shut down. Many of the issues that users have reported and continue to report, is because of the original SLX/XstreetSL system. Linden Lab chose to create the Second Life Marketplace in a way that would bridge the old XstreetSL system. Had the SL Marketplace been a brand new, stand alone, system, as is the Sansar Marketplace, then many things could have, and would have, been done differently. Linden Lab chose the least disruptive system/build available for the Second Life Marketplace. Instead of forcing sellers to create all brand new listings for items they had had listed for years, those listings on XstreetSL were migrated to the new system, along with usage of the old Magic Box vendor delivery system. Since the listings were migrated, the decision was also made to migrate the original reviews/ratings. This meant that the Marketplace rating system had to accept those old, original ratings/reviews. At this point, there is only so much updating that can be done to the existing Second Life Marketplace because of the integration of the old XstreetSL system. The only way to address some of the issues would be with an entire rewrite of the code. This would mean 3+ years of new development, along with a loss of ALL of the current listings, sales history, ratings, etc. Sansar is brand new. A lot of the bells and whistles that users would like to see on the Second Life Marketplace have the potential to be written into the Sansar Marketplace from the very start because it is brand new code, while the Second Life Marketplace is limited because of its age and the code.
  6. Ladies and Gentlemen, Unfortunately, many posts in this thread have been removed or edited for violations of the Community Participation guidelines. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Community_Participation_Guidelines Off Topic Posts - Please do not post content to a thread that is off topic for the conversation. It is not a nice thing to do. Personal Attacks - Making personal attacks against other users is beyond inappropriate. Profanity - While it is assumed that most Second Life users are adults, profanity is NOT appropriate, in any shape, form, or attempt at masking, on the Forums. These forums are provided by Linden Lab for you, the users of Second Life, to communicate with each other. Linden Lab welcomes and encourages users to discuss, with civility, anything Second Life related on the forums. Each user is entitled to their own thoughts, feelings, and opinions about Second Life and any content available within Second Life. You may disagree with each other. You may outline and discuss your disagreements. You may not, however, attack each other over those differences. Attacking each other is completely, and utterly, unacceptable. If you feel that you are unable to continue the conversation without making attacks against others, you are invited to participate in one of the hundreds of other currently active conversations on the Forums, but please do not continue with this one.
  7. Greetings! The Linden Lab Gaming Policy is about the Skill Gaming regions. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Second_Life_Skill_Gaming_Policy Please ensure when reporting issues that the correct option is used. If you report an issue for Gaming Violation, the report may be closed without action for the incorrect violation.
  8. Hello Suki Hirano, Reporting Copyright violations has never been possible through the Second Life Marketplace reporting tool. Copyright violations are legal violations and outside the purview of the members who address issues reported via the Marketplace reporting tool.
  9. As you may notice, to fulfill legal obligations, we have added a notification in some places when making purchases that clarifies which legal entity you are transacting with, depending on the country associated with your payment method. Tilia Inc. and Tilia Branch UK Ltd are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Linden Research, Inc, and this does not affect how you contact or receive support.
  10. Hello Anastasia Prasinos, Unfortunately, Gift Cards that can be used for Marketplace purchases are not available. Any gift card system would apply to any and all purchases made through the Marketplace and not just a specific store or product.
  11. Ladies and Gentlemen, Please try to keep the discussions On Topic for what the OP posted. Hijacking threads to discuss whether or not comments may or may not be interpreted as rude, harsh, uncouth, inappropriate, etc., are not appropriate. If you wish to discuss the tone of another user's post, please take the comments private.
  12. Ladies and Gentlemen, While we encourage users to engage in discussions, including discussions that can become heated, attacks against each other are not permitted.
  13. Hello Yasojith, The short answer is yes. The Product Listing Title is a separate and editable field to allow you to name the listing as you wish. As others have stated, renaming a Gatcha item runs the risk of others not being able to search for the item itself since most Gatcha buyers will do a search using the name that the original creator used. You can put the original item name in the Features List so that it will show up in any searches.
  14. Hello Taylor Schroeder, You should be able to edit the listing and add a title to the item. You can then delete the listing after it has been given a title.
  15. Greetings! This thread will remain open until we know that everyone affected has been refunded.
  16. Greetings! As I am sure most of you are aware, on June 26, 2017 there was an issue that resulted in the Second Life Billing system going into emergency maintenance. A large number of orders that were placed through the Marketplace were affected. Affected Marketplace orders debited the funds from the buyers account, but did not process the orders correctly and the orders remain in a pending state and will not complete and no items were sent to the buyers/receivers. Linden Lab is actively working to determine who was affected and to ensure that those affected buyers are refunded as quickly as possible. At this time it is not necessary to submit a Support Case in order to receive a refund and in order to limit the load on Customer Support, we ask that you do not create a case regarding this issue. Once we have determined who has been affected and the accounts are refunded, I will update this posting. If at that time you were affected and did not receive a refund, you will be asked to create a case so that we can verify the charge and refund you at that time. Obviously this is going to take a couple of days, so we ask for your patience while we work to get everyone refunded. You may monitor the Second Life Grid Status Report for an update: https://status.secondlifegrid.net Thank you!
  17. Hello intelligentdreamer, The short answer is no. As LittleMe Jewell pointed out, the Marketplace Listing Guidelines disallow the inclusion of links on your product listings where the content may be purchased through another web site. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/listing_guidelines With the exclusion of Real Estate Listings and some Services offerings, any product listing on the Second Life Marketplace must deliver the actual product itself. If you wish to offer the option to purchase some of your content through a 3rd party web site for US Dollars, you may include a catalogue that is provided to the buyers with the purchase of your content that shows the other items you have available along with a link to your own web site where the content may be purchased for US Dollars. One thing to keep in mind though is that the vast majority of Second Life users will not make direct US Dollar purchases from other users. This is because their Real Life information is then exposed to the each other. In order to maintain privacy and security of any user, Linden Lab strongly recommends that users do not engage in practices that may expose themselves, or their private information, to strangers, and unfortunately, this also includes not conducting business transactions with other users in US Dollars outside of the Second Life environment.
  18. Hi Tony! The Limit Buy option allows buyers and sellers to set their own prices. You can absolutely create a buy order for 40K L$ and set the price to equal $90 USD. However, the chances of that order ever being completed and you getting the L$ are very slim and your order may remain open in the system for a very long time. The current exchange rate is 262/1 - that is 262 L$ per $1 USD, but the exchange rate for your purchase would be 444/1 Your order would remain open in the system until a seller is found who is willing to sell their L$ at the same rate as your asking price of 444/1
  19. Hello RoDen Kilian, If you are asking about a Support Ticket, then that area is located here: https://support.secondlife.com/ You should be able to click on Help - Contact Support if you are logged into the viewer and the web page will be loaded up in your browser window for you. To submit a new ticket, click on the Submit a Support Case in the menu on the right. To view your previously created cases, click on the Support History link in the menu on the right.
  20. Hello Taylor. Try putting both items into a single folder in your inventory first, then right click on the new folder and choose the option to send the folder to the Marketplace. The Marketplace UI window should open up automatically and show you the new entry. You can then verify that both the item and the HUD are in the same sub-folder. If that does not work, then unfortunately, the items will need to be boxed together before trying list them on the Marketplace.
  21. Greetings! If they are multiple copies of the same item posted by the same seller, then they are considered Item Spam and are not compliant, as Item Spam is disallowed under the Marketplace Listing Guidelines.
  22. Greetings! The bug is that the system doesn't update the email address immediately, and it can sometimes take up to 7 days for the Marketplace to reflect the change. As Whirly said, drop us a Support Case under General Marketplace Issues and we are happy to manually push through the change so that you do not have to wait for the system to update the information on its own.
  23. Greetings! Waterfront only means that the land ends at the water. It does not necessarily mean that the water is part of the land that is available for purchase. It is not considered misleading to say that land is waterfront, and unless the land owner is claiming that the parcel rent or purchase entitles the user to access to the water, then no action would be taken for the advertisement. Road protected usually means that road is owned separate from the parcels and cannot be changed or built on, so you will not suddenly find a large building, or texture wall, in the middle of the road next to the parcel.
  24. Hello Stormm Firecaster! Unfortunately, the Best Selling and Related Items lists will show all listings that you have ever created on the Marketplace, so it is not possible to trim the list to only show the currently active listings.
