with all the veiwers i have used, i prefered in this order emerald, emergance, phoenix . now phoenix started to not work properly. i tried uninstall then a reinstll, but when i log in it goes "not responding" and stays thats way which really pi__ed me off. so i went to firestorm. i am not happy with if. the physics are uncontrollable. it seems to take a good while to rezz, search has now started to "not work" or load proerly or at all. sometimes i just wish that people didnt try to fix things that worked. Pheonix was working like magic for me, now this. ppppfffftttttt

agreed, but dont expect anything. The only way to properly protest is for all those that agree to go to osgrid for a while. you dont pay for anything there. perhaps then LL will realize just who it is they are hurting with some of their decisions.

As cinnamon said, iit probably will only take a day or so. DON"T PANIC..........these things ar done to protect you and other residents. I am sure by the time you read my post, that your issue will already been resolved.

all you need is something like my nvidia 9800gt, ( its a few years old now and there are newer models with the same type of capacity.) is a dual core with a 1 GB memory. It serves me very qell and i can have 2 viewers on at the same time with no problem.It also is sse2 and can run 3d nicely

learning how to build to make my own textures was a big one for me. before that, learning how to TP when no-one would tell me how to get off help Island (ignorant pigs)

This is a very intesting post. I myself came here as male for same reasons as Sy, I am a male, i have always been a male, and i would have no idea as to how to be anything else. Any conception i have of being female would only come from my male brain and possibly be a misconception. Having said that, i also have another stopper to being female. While SL is a "fantasy" world where you can live out your wildest fantasies and such, my idea of fantasy is a dream that has a possibility of becoming reality. Therefore being a dog is just not for me ( i do not judge others for their choices though) in the same vane, so is being female, or a vampire, or a gorean. as vampire ( in the sense that we use the term undead fanged demons) or Gor are things that just don't exist and therefore can NEVER be part of a fantasy for me. I believe in being me, not anyone or anything else. I remain true to myself and am not afraid to give out information about my RL ( its not like i am giving out my cc number or address and phone number or my RL name). After all that, i have attempted to make my own skin which i slowly and more so become disenchanted with. I have done this to put perm tattos on, but dont have the ps skills to make my skin more real looking. (anyone that does do not hesitate to contact me) but i prefer to have at least full perm so i can make changes whenever i want ( bugger buying a skin to look like someone else and not being able to make changes)

i would be happy to find good (fill perm) male skins. something i can take to PS and add tattoos n such......................

my pheonix began playing up some weeks ago, not responding during log in and then crashing. i uninstalled and reinstalled but it didnt help. so now i had to force mysel to use firestorm however much i hate it ( messages and notices are hidden in the corner and you can accidently ignore them and offend people) perhaps your pheonix is wigging out as well, especially if other veiwers are working.

I pay by PP and CC, and i am in Australia and havent had a problem with my PP, although i have had a PP account for several years..........not sure why you are having a prob, although since i sold land i havent had the need to buy Lindens for several months so maybe things have changed

i got a similar email after buying a laptop. I usually log in with a pc, but decided to try out the laptop in SL, well, different IP address as the pc was still logged into the internet, so they must have thought that someone was hacking my account. was all fixed in a few days without a problem.......dont panic

So in your opinion, anyone who doesn't have the ability to put into words that satisfy your assumption of intelligence doesn't have a valid argument and you intend to inform them of this. Actually, the standard should be the european way ( as it is in Australia). why should everything be the American way, just because you all think backwards. for instance, if a friend came u to you in November and asked you the date, would you saw "why, it;'s the year 2011, the month of November and its the 11th day"?...well, maybe you would, but most normal people would just say "It's the 11th" because the month and year are already known. Another example is armistous day which is proclaimed that in the 11th hour of the 11th month ----------- (get it dd/mm/yy). As in the case of metric, the US really needs to get with the rest of the world, not the other way around. ( as your arrogance usually demands) It is a natural progression starting with the immediate (the day,) then the next progression ( the month) and finally the last ( the year) The International stand may be backwards, but Europe and Australia ( two very large contintents containing a large portion of the WORLDS developed economies) do it dd/mm/yy as it should be and always will be. And the logical order is in red above, not as you suggest (largest to smallest)

applauds the residents who went to all this trouble, but they shouldn't have had to, this all should have been taken care of by LL......and it totally pi__es me off that they continually seek the profit and feel to supply less and les, or at least shirk responsibility for their product. we maya a well just send them money every month for doing next to nothing

for sl, i bought a locally made desk top tower $600 , and went to a pawn shop and picked up a keyboard and mouse.. It had 250gb harddrive, 1gb ram, and a nvidia Geforce 6100 nforce 400 graphics card. It wouldnt run sl, so i upgraded the graphics card a few months later to a 512mb card. b ut then i upgraded it again to a Geforce 9800GT 1Gyg. I would love to have top of the line stuff, but cant afford it. and i hate it when others that like to brag about how wonderful their computer is. well, i still have the same computer 4 years later except for the graphics card an mem sticks, and it stiill works great , i added a second monitor though ( now i have 2x 22 inch flats so i can keep open 2 windows, one for working and one for SL. though i have every 18 months or so had toreplace keyboards (twice) and mice (also twice) but the tower is still the same. I also undated ram to 4GyG about 8 months ago. so to all you " i have the best in the world computer" suck on that

i first rezzed in help island, I walked around and felt my way through. I asked lots of people questions and got no replies ( they were probably new too) and so first thought SL is full of ignorant people. I even came across a group of people that contantly spoke in voice, heard them talking about how there inventories were up to 60,000 Items and decided they these people would help m eget off this damm Island. Alas they were REAL ignorant assholes that never even bothered to answer my IMs or chat. eventually, after about 2 weeks, i came accross a helper that had come online while i was online and they told me about TP's. I was so happy to get the hell of that island. since then my experience _nearly 3 years) hase been wide and varied, Sl is still full of ignorant assholes, but i ignore them and talk to nice people. I first learned of SL in a CSI episode, wondered about it, and after a year decided ti check it out, unfortunately my graphics card wasnt up to it and it took my another few months to get around to urgrading it. I have upgraded it a couple of times since then.

i totally agree with you, and if i had said the same thing, i would be more brutally blunt, less long winded with swear words thrown aroun. some post are agonizingly long, however, you original post was a rather nice plea to LL for respect of the existing members. Unfortunately, you are talking to a corporation hell bent on profitss and see where that goes....( fanny mae?) because they are driven by profits, they will be less ans less likely to listen to " clients" after all they invented this so they know everything...................................................good luck anyways...........we can always all go to osgrid and start again.

this is nothing new either. the differences in veiwers and what they see has been my experience since my rez day. sometimes people appear naked, and when i say something they say in their veiwer they are clothed. once i "ruthed" which is stranged cause i was always a man but others saw me as normal. when you are concerned, ask someone what they see. If you tone down your physics then you will only change your experience.keep it the same as long as you are enjoying it, coz you will never beable to fix what others see.

....and if the parcel does have a LM that over rides your, then just set up a TP point. you can buy them cheap at SWA securities, and many other places.

i think these disclaimers are a warning. there are a lot of bad people that will abuse you and say threatening things to you in IM, so some that have been burned before put this in to warn the bad people that they will use their convo as evidence against them. i do not see the harm in this if it is only disclosed to LL for AR purposes, after all this is how the courts in RL work too .....isnt it?

a few times since i have been in SL, my house has disappeared. i tp to a differant sim and come back and still not there. log in the next day and it is there. sometimes things just not rez properly. log in again and check. or, type the name of your house in search in your inventory, perhaps it was put back in your box.

About 2 weeks after i first joined SL, i was asked by some cutie if she could bite me. I thought it was a sexual thing and so let her. I did not turn into a vampire, i dont sleep in a coffin, i do not have th urge to go join a vampire group ( the vampire thing doesnt interest me in the least) so it has no effect on me except this. ALL vampires can see i have been bitten before and do not even ask me now. (suck **bleep** vampires)
