even though Kylie put a negative spin on it, if there is someone interested in catching up with you or misses your presences, perhaps they will check you profile periodically to see if you are around. everyone will have a different opinion on this as you know how different humans can vary.

perhaps he searche her on the map ( i assume he knows her name) and when on the same sim, uses radar to tp to her. an avatar tracker can also track which sim she is on and then he can tp to that sim, and use radar to tp to her...........perhaps the dancing is an RLV hud.....tell her to take her name out of search, and disable her RLV if she has it..............

like banks ( in australia anyway) paypal doesnt do this kind of thing for real. a bank will never send you a link asking you to log in, similarly, paypal will not close you account because you have not updated information. i came accross this particular scam over a year ago, and i am quite surprised that it is still being used. there are simple rules to follow with emails from unknown sources. 1) NEVER use a link sent to you, if a bank asks you to log in, use your onw link (bookmark) or manually type in the address. 2) if an email is not from a friend, right click on the email BEFORE opening it, copy and paste the full headers into this FREE email tracer. if an email from say Microsoft head office comes from africa, or spain then delete the mail without opening it.http://www.ip-address.org/lookup/ip-locator.php this is a FREE email tracer, i have tested it and it is quite accurate to within 100 KLMs (60 miles)

Do we seriously have to put up with these threads telling us to watch this or that show? i am totally getting sick of recieving 20 messages a day about television shos that i have absolutely NO interest in anyway....or i woulb be watching them and not on SL. i joined this forum community to help out and listen to gripes/ interes stories about SL...not anything else... and i consider it spamming, it goes on so much that i am sure the LINDENS are aware of it!!!!, please stop them, or i will have to unsubscribe to this forum altogether (my loss i know) and i think its about time LL did something about spammers anyway...............if there is a way i can do something about it, please let me know, as i feel spammers are little more than thieve, or those annoying ppl that drop 50 leaflets in your mailbox telling you to save the trees

sorry, but unless you didnt get it, it is a scam, and the person writing about the money has nothing to do with any peoples mentioned, it is only a feeble attempt to legitimise themselves, this scam is as old as the hills, and i have already see tens of different versions of it. So you will never find out who they really are, all they are looking for is a way to get you private bank details......@ the original poster...i hope you AR'd them.....

are you kidding? without even taking a survey, i could safely say that every person on this earth has at one time jumped to an opinion about someone else actions/attitude/demeanor and there in the same action accused that person of something. Not only that, but i would feel safe in saying that anyone who pretends they haven't is a liar.

i made mine look similar to my RL, how well i did can be seen in my 1st life pick. i am not one of these...sl is sl and rl is rl i keep them separate type people, as i have nothing to hide, nothing to fear from being found out about. although i dont give personal information out such as my address or name, and of course any information that may get me tracked down by a weirdo...suburb i live in and street blah blah.......but i will tell the city i live in and what i do for a liviung as this would make it impossible for someone to trakc me on that info. when i joined sl, i believed the avatart was a representation of me, so that is why i attempted to make it look like me, although my skin isnt as detailed as i would like it to be ( when i imported the skin to sl, it looked differant ti what it did in photoshop) and got sick of mucking with it and left it as it finally turned out.........

technology hasn't really brought us much when you think about it. sure, we can zip from one side of the earth to the other, but the people doing this arent benefiting the world, they are either doing it to holiday, or to make money for themselves or the employers. and medicine may have given us prolonged life, but now we are threatened with global population explosions and many of the poorest are starving. there is only so much viable farm land, and as the population grows, these areas are diminished. Land cleared for population gets the top soil blown away ( as it was protectect by trees) which dries up, leaving less humidity and evaporation and thereby changing climatic cycles, and turning the earea to dry waste lands. Without technology, we would still be living simple lives, with less population, no polution, more food to go around, climate change would be ...........? so really? technology has solved some problems, while causing so many more.........

strange, when i disbanded a group and had the pay group liabilities unticked, the money still got disbursed when i sold the land.....and the land wasnt even deeded to the group.

yers, that is one of the oldest tricks around, and you fell for it. dont worry when ppl are saying it is just a small amoutn, because it is not the amount that matters so much as it is the trust and faith you have in ppl that slowly dies little by little. a small suggestion, next time someone asks you, instead of "lending" , first make sure you can afford it yourself then GIVE the money without any ecpectation of it being returned, at least that way, if it gets paid back it will be a wonderful surprise, and if it doesnt, then you have lost nothing extra.....................anfd to anyone else talking about the "amount"...you really have no clue do you?

i aggree totally, anyone abusing a companies resources in this way SHOULD get fired. it is abuse like this the send prises up. making everyone else pay for a greedy employee's pastime that should not be endulged at work.....try doing some work, and if your that bored, ask for more responsibilities to fill your time.

i was of the impression that when someone deactivated their account, it is gone forever (cancelled) and if they sign up again it has to be with a new avatar. i could be wrong......

i agree totally...and @venus........it doesnt matter what happened to him, that wasn't the point, the point is support is getting slacker and slacker. ever since the budget cuts the support is almost non existant........or comes by slow moving boat from china........

did you check your hardware requirements?

i myself use it on my slaves. they are under contract to serve one hour per day on my sim, and many before have logged on in the sim then tp out. my use pertains to making sure contractual agreements are kept. but that is all. It could be used to harrass ppl, but the same information can be obtained just by searching, it doent gather any personal info, IP's, only avatar log in and log out times.
