i still have windows 7, i5 processor, 1 gb graphics card (nvidea gt9800) have 4 huds running, attachments such as clothing accessories, and i havnt seen myself as a cloud for literally years. sometimes "upgrading" is just a wank and IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT. thats my take on it....i also have increased draw distance. one thing i did do was increase my band width in the viewer and i use pheonix 1691. good luck and NEVER beleive everything they tell you about "new" systems....oh, iand i always use a desk top for SL, never a laptop.

we got real roller derby girls nearby.....i wont bother seeing virtual ones.

been there and done that, i used to have live bands. wont be doing it anymore unless our econamy vastly improves as i never made a cent and was always forking out money. i did it coz i could afford it and enjopyed it. but if someone is going to wine about having to walk past some shops to get theres, then i wont bother anymore. I had shops upstairs from my festival style stage and people rarely visited it anyway. so,.....get you own entertainment if you dont like walking, as amythyst said, we pay a lot of money out and get very little in return...

i remember a time before the great cut backs and lay offs that, as a premium account holder, if i had a problem and put in a ticket, it would be dealt with within a few days. they wouldnt write a letter telling me anything had happened, but it did happen.. ever since the cutbacks, i feel the first up against the wall was the complaints department. they didnt mind taking your money, "but be **bleep**ed if we are going to spend anytime deealing with you problems" kind of attitude seemed toprevail. i have been a business owner,.land holder for some years, but increasingly think its a joke and that i would be better of on basic....LL has enough of my money. though i dont want to delete as i too have spent a small fortune on gizmos n gadgets. I have a bit of a theory myself on this. while i am a christian (NOT a creationist so to speak) i believe in the all powerful God, but you have to ask yourself.....just how long does a day last to an all powerfull being?....dont ask me, but i am betting it isnt 24 hours. possibley 100,000 years to us or whatever. anyway, this is the basis of my theory (not tha t a day is 100,000 years) that man, in his typical egotistical way, assumes Gods day is the same length as ours and therefore have stuffed up the entire revelation of the bible. God may be all powerful, but that doesnt mean magician...... and his patience is limitless, so he really doesnt mind waiting 500,000 years for something, after all thats may only be 5 days. with this in mind i re STUDIED THE BIBLE AND HAD A REVELATION MYSELF. EVERYTHING SEEMED TO MAKE MORE SENSE AND SO I BELIEVE EV ERYONE IS WRONG.......

i have heard some disparaging things and that it better to stick with 7......rememeber vista? you can get a computer that far surpasses SL requirements easily now without getting a new opperating system.......good luck........ incidently, i have a i5 quad, with 6 gyg ram and a 1 gyg nvidia graphics card, i never have a problem and lag is only a full sim.....

i have an i5 with 6 gyg of memory and a geforce gt9800 graphics and its plenty good enough for sl.........laptops are too small for sl, i learnt that a couple of years ago.....good luck with your project

i have also put 100's pof dollars into mine as well, and afraid to think that when i go....i cant take any with me. ..everything i bought should be transferable to my computer, so i can re-import it later....otherwise whats the point, so i will also be interested if someone had a fix for this

if you download it, you may odownload a virus and this maybe what he/she is counting on...snip it and save it, then its only taking a picture of your screen

the simplest way is to open the photo, then use your snip tool to put a box around it, click save, name the file and where you want to put it and click ok

28k IS a lot of money and i can certainly understand you angst, but privacy laws would not allow them to show you the proof you are asking. I was once building on a sim and dragged a texture to a surface, there was a glitch and everything in sight wes textured with this one texture. it took me a week to fix it all. what i am saying is, when you hit the ok button, perhaps the system registered it as cancel......anyway, hope you get your money back but i can garauntee you wont. good luck

perhaps it thinks you are naming a doctor, or the words are so heavily copy written that sl just banned it to save themselves court costs and pain

I have huge doubts the Ip addresses can lead someone to find out your RL address. Unless you live in a small community and your provider is also in the same community. i would challenge anyone to contact me via RL.................. fear is what we have to fear the most.

i am still using phoenix and never had any problems. i tried firestorm and sl viewers but didnt like them ( guess i am still suck in the emerald years) but i dont do scuplts but pretty sure i can see them all

yes, their internet is very strictly monitored and many websites are block by the government, especially those whereindividual opinions (that go against gov thinking) can be expressed to the outside world.

i5 will get you to ultra graphics without any loss of quality, I have i5 and went to ultra and it performed better on ultra than my vista 2 gyg mem with a 1 gyg graphics card did on about halfway

well it stands to reason doesnt it, that SL being the escape it is and who would need an ascape from RL?...those who think there RL could is below par. I myslf come her to create things.....but this is all generalizing and i think most people come here for differant reasons.

I would say he does have permission as "YOU GAVE HIM THE PIC".......Unless you know someone very very very well, like in RL, you should not give out RL information. I am sorry for you dilemma

I have come across this type sooooo often, sometimes there are reasons, like they are on their phones and dont see every text, and sometimes they are so emersed in their own world, that they think they are alone in the world...bit like real life come to think of it.
