Hello and welcome, but what marcus said. i have a pc with a bigger graphis card than you and it still wouldnt run sl, so i upgraded it to a IGB dual core nvidia graphics card and havent had any problems since ( actually, you can gat away with 512MB graphics cards too i just wanted bigger and better)

Yes, i do, i have a pair of beautiful riding horses ( can ride in first view) with lovely saddles, but they are more like real horses rather than mythical creatures

actually, i think phoenix, emergance (yes Emerrald too) were more intuitive viewers that LL's was at any tiem, and now with viewer 2/3. firestorm and the like, i find them LESS user friendly as i can never find anything. in the old viewers, everything was where you would expect it to be and labelled. Now it just all effed up. STOP FIXING THINGS THAT ARENT BROKEN ( AND EFFING THEM UP IN THE PROCESS) and spend that time and money on servers, fighting lag, fighting spammers and griefers and get back to the good customer service we USED to have before the great staff cull of 2010.

It seems you have asked three questions here, so I will give you the three answers as I see it 1) greed, 2) greed and 3) profit. I remember when if you put in an AR or a jira, you would et an email within 24 hours and not long after that the problem would be fixed. However to increase their profitablitiy, LL has reduced the staff , and probably have an internal policy of not answering ANY jira or AR unless absolutly neccessary. I have become quite disenchanted with SL since the staff purge, and more and more think about leaving. though LL probably make enough profit to say "who cares....GO"

i have met some black people here with black avatars, but i suspect some of those are only black in SL, and maybe even some black people in RL are whiate in SL. I have seem groups in the past pertaining to black master white slave, but you would have to search differant avenues. and i am not sure if the new search is all that good, but try n try........good luck dear.

i tend to agree with samantha ( i think, hard to read you name when you hair is the same colour as the text) i hace had 2 places, one was private so i could set my security to friends or group mambers where i had a small private group. the other is a business so i have to leave it open to the public, and i get a constant stream of visitors who are using an old LM. They usually quickly go away. best way to avoit it is "buy" your land and set you land access to group memebers, and/or buy SWA security orbs/panels. If you own it you have more control over it an no idiot landlords to deal with. your panic attacks will soon deminish....good luck

as in RL, you will need at least 3 shifts of staff and dj's. not only that, you will need to relinquish your power to someone you trust to help runit while you not there. this doesnt garuntee people will come, but if your open all the time, eventually people will know that and come when they have the time. good luck.

NO.......the short answer is it would teach people to NOT deal with life, and fragment society even more than it is now. We will all end up alone people with no real human contact, only making contact through FB or Sl and other such platforms. Life is for the living of it, and sometimes that entails doing things you may find unpleasant, or interacting with people your not fond of, or telling those people that you not fond of them to leave you alone. It is all part of communication, and such devices, while seemingly enhancing our ecperiences with other, would severely restrict and then hinder our own abiltiy to interact in RL. thanks for the thought though. think of something else to spend your life on.

if you wish to star a business and already have some skills that will go toward that, such ar marketing and bulding and textureing. although business is slow in SL atm, there are planty of people but theyare spending less. Yes you can rent land, but the rent (i find) is more expensive than the tiers you pay, and you get less prims from rented land, i dont know why, perhaps the owners like to steal a small percentage of prims for themselves. I "own" land and do not regret it, i get to do with it what i like, and no one to answer to . sometimes i have billing issue with a payment not going through, but i use a debit card and paypal, so when one doesnt go through, and i get an email, i just use the other method. I have never lost my account with these issue and think that when people lose their accounts, it is more du to they have no funds to pay their tiers, to prevent this, if you have no money ( you have to think one month in advance) you sell you land, take all you stuff and revert back to basic. You would know if you need to do this ie, you lose your RL job anf your sl business is doing terribley, make the hard decision that month in advance (before you next tiers are due).....it really is a personal decision that only you can make as only you know your financial situation.

IM's are personal messages that go to you when other dont want everyone else to know you conversation. depending on what veiwer you are using, but if you see a name and flashing on the "task"bar, click it and that will open the conversation, you can then reply to it

Rl was like that first, so no, not in that way...........more like RL was a training ground for SL, only in SL they can get away with more bad behaviour than in RL

I am...and its getting worse and worse. Sl used to be a place to go and escape that **bleep**, now it is fast becoming one of those websites the promise you free stuff, only so they can get you email address to spam the crap out of you......more and more i think, why bother coming to SL for the same **bleep** i get in RL. Mute buttons dont stop the spammers in the forums telling you wo watch the latest episode of some tv show and getting emails about it. MY email box gets at least 10 emails a day which are spam from the forums. am i to stop the emails and therefore cut myself off from the forums?.....................i HATE SPAM AMD SPAMMERS

Alarzarin hit it, NEVER EVER open an email you not sure about. i always check the locations that emails are from before opening them (unless i know them of course) here is a link of a FREE tracker, it works well and will tell you within 100klms (60 miles) of the location. http://www.ip-address.org/lookup/ip-locator.php and if it looks ok to you and you open it, NEVER EVER use a link sent to you in an email, not even your banks, always use your own bookmark.link. the F.B.I are also interested in scam emails and you can report it to them as well. http://www.fbi.gov/ IF they tell you you bought Lindens and used stolen info, use your own bookmar and check you banking transactions, this will tell you if it is true or not and then you can report to 1) secondlife 2) FBI 3) your bank yourself. if there is no missing money, ignore it and delete it after you report the scam.

i would say it definitely isn't you computer, I have way smaller than that and I don't have a region, try rezzing in a different region

As in RL, most employers look for reliable workers, someone who is going to show up regularly ( some business owners actually make a living from sl) so it is imperative that the worker is reliable. And perhaps you just aren't the person that they require or are looking for, or don't have the experience they are looking for. You also said it yourself that you come and go. And another reason could be that SL reflects RL and there has been a large slowdown, people aren't spending as much "money" as they once did., I wasn't going to mention it, but calling prospective employers idiots is also not a good idea, it shows the contempt you have for a struggling business owner and perhaps they see this when you apply. Try being more patient and understanding of they're situation as well.

what people say here as regards to SL and their experiences doesnt bother me at all, that is what they are for.....but what does bother me is the constant flood of emails telll me to watch this or watch that.............i wish those one would go away as there must be a way
