I did not get a chance to read everyone else's post, but I will just give my suggestions. Try doing a clean boot. A clean boot is when you disable everything from startup, except your antivirus and Microsoft Services. The link below will explain how to perform that. Make sure and follow each step if you are going to do it. http://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-7/perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-7/ Try resetting your modem. A modem is just like a computer, a small computer that is running 24/7, constantly sending and receiving packets in and out. There are two ways of doing it. 1. Unplug your router. 2. Leave it off for five (5) minutes. 3. Plug it back in and let it connect. ------------------------------------------------ 1. Start Menu 2. Open CMD 3. Type in "ipconfig" (Without the quotations) 4. Look for "Default Gateway" 5. Type the numbers into your browser. EX: 192.168.2.1 6. Put in your router password - Can find it here http://www.routerpasswords.com/ 7. When you are logged in, you can look for the reset button The first one is 10 times easier, but the second option lets you do it from on your computer, so you don't even have to get it, which makes it more convenient. Try lowering your graphics settings too a lower setting. I have the same internet speed as yours and I have no problem with Second Life. Your firewall could be the cause of it as well. Hello! =) My name is Andrew. I've been on Second Life for approximately 30 days now. I'm pretty much active everyday with a lot of hours to spare when playing on-line, when I'm not working. My best friend Ada Snowbear caught my attention when she told me that I had to get a job In-game to earn Linden Dollars. So here I am applying currently, anyway! I'm looking for a job as a DJ, Security or a Host. My ability and comprehension are more in the Musical, communicating and generally technological field. Real Name: Andrew In-Game Name: Firedoomz Age: 21 In-Game Adult Verification: Yes Donator: Yes DJ'ing Experience I have decent amount of experience when it comes to being a DJ. I've never spin music on a live game before but when it comes to real life, I have. My family and I are generally in the music industry :P But I do have experience when mixing, scratching & playing live. If I have a tutor teaching me just the basic controls in playing it on Second Life then I see no problem in this field. Types of Music I Play: • Dubstep (Soft to Hard) • Hardstyle (Rave) • R & B • Soca • Reggae • House Music • Rap/Hip Hop • Rock / Metal • Dance Hall / Dance Music • Techno • Electro Etc. Security Experience Yes, I do have high experience when it comes to being a security. I was a Game Moderator for 8 months and an administrator for 5 months on Perfect World server(s) when I was younger. I've seen drama up to my toes when it comes to banning & conversing with players, but when it comes to it, I'll get the job done smoothly. I'm not a person that is quick to ban someone; I'm more of a reasonable person to solve the issue without further punishments being done. But if that individual steps out of line, their sentence shall be carried out. The rules given to me as a security shall not be broken. I give you my word; I'll do a great job when it comes to it. I will absolutely have N/A problems in this field. Host Experience Yes, I do have experience in this field, but not in Second Life. I'm a REALLY talkative person, so I'll be suiting this position just fine. XD I'm good at coming up with extremely technical but truly enjoyable events. My specialty is also entertaining people x) It's really fun and good for the community to enjoy the on-line gaming of their Second Life. =) I'm a pretty fast learner when it comes to technical and pleasurable matters, so if I get a pattern of how everything works, I'll be just fine when it comes to my job.
