  1. Yes 🤣 If I had more disposable income - I'd have all of the above!!!
  2. I'm not techie enough to understand most of that. 😉 Good luck, if you figure it out - I'll be sure to try the viewer!!
  3. It is, but it's not. We met right away and dated in real life, not in a virtual world. Not 100% organic, but it has turned out better than anything I ever encountered in SL. At this point, I think most people meet via some sort of technology. I don't see a lot of women hanging out in the produce department admiring the cucumbers these days. 😉
  4. Maryanne, I never had ANY luck with SL / Online relationships. I met my partner via Match.com 🤣
  5. Honestly, I know where you are coming from!! LOL .... Inventory management is an endless struggle for me. It would be great if it was easier / they offered better tools! But, the only thing I'm willing to pay for is more land and higher Li 🤣
  6. I started in AOL chat, moved to VP Excite, and finally Voodoo chat --- somewhere in there (approx. 2007) I tried Second Life for the first time. I managed to fly at the first place you res (welcome island?) ... and I flew into the ceiling and could not figure out how to stop. I got frustrated and quit. Voodoo was going down the drain (like it's predecessors) so, with a friend's help - I gave SL another try (2010). It was a LOT easier with someone to show me the ropes and a couple of other chat friends learning at the same time. Those were some good times!
  7. Well said. I think the feelings of love are true. Still, it is not the same as living with someone in real life and paying the bills and doing the day to day things. Online relationships can be a bit romanticized. I know a couple that have been online only for about 15 years, maybe more. Some would say that's not a real relationship, but to them it is and it works.
  8. Yeah, my name makes it pretty obvious to most people - but when I moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin - I told people I lived in Milwaukee. I've never lied about it, but I don't give out my address either.
  9. True ... modesty craves privacy I just don't worry about it like I used to. That being said, I don't think I have ever gone nude in SL ... I wear an itty bitty teeney weeney bikini LOL...
  10. I'll go with the obvious answer = North America
  11. Well said. This is me - I buy too many things for the way they look without making sure they are low Li ... it's on my list of things to improve on. I also need to stop buying things that do not offer a demo. I have wasted so much money.... and yes, sadly -- Premium is the least expensive way to go! Many here have proven you CAN decorate a Linden home very nicely within the limit, but it takes some skills.
  12. I don't have the skills or patience to decorate a larger home and stay within the 351 Li (Linden Home) and... I am donating my tier and I don't want to spend more on renting or buying so......... I went back to a houseboat. Thanks to @Sylvia Tamalynfor mentioning, there were some available! In the houseboat, I can fill it up and make it feel homey and not have to watch every item so carefully. No one comes to visit me anyway, so it works! Now... off to decorate....
  13. ^ This ! @Marianne Little Your decorating skills are amazing! Love looking at your pictures.
  14. Thank you!!! I have tried using the numbers - wasn't sure what the magic numbers were, but I will use yours and see if it helps (no doubt, it will). Really nice tip about the prim floor covering ... it seems, I have to rez everything on the floor and then move it where it belongs... so, that will be VERY helpful!
  15. I think this fits here ... and I searched, but did not find anything on this specific issue... How do you place your furniture so that it looks good from all sides? Yes, 11 years later, I still have to tweak my furniture again and again until it looks like it's in the right place regardless of the viewing angle. Yesterday, I tried to put a potted plant on top of a short pillar -- and no matter how I moved it -- it was never in the center if I moved my camera angle.... Also pictures --- What is the easiest way to put it flat against the wall? I think I need to take some building classes or something. As always, any advice is appreciated.
