Another consideration is the fact that consumers want the same level of service. Now when you realise that the number online of that 'other' grid you are alluding to is around 1.5 to 2% of SL..... creators have to weigh that in too. Sure there are other grids but... I have no problem licensing ... can't promise to provide support though. Make sense?

God needs erm sticking up for? Bet She would have words about that... Basic stuff - person pays rent person sets rules. -
In order (sort of) 1) Yes as many as your hosting system can handle (the packaged setups I've seen tend to be 1 4 9 or 16 sims) 2) Yes, if your host machine is off your sims are not there 3) I believe the default is still a flat grass expanse but its easy enough to find an OAR terrain file. It has the appearance of being surrounded by water but the 'sea' is actually void space - you canot enter it beyond the sim edge. To do so would require an adjoining sim set as a water one 4) No. There is no hyper grid from SL (or in for that matter). 5) No - with caveats. If you are the total creator of an object in SL then yes - with limits. If you are for example the creator of sculptmaps and textures you *can* transfer them. If not, if you obtain the original creators absolute permissions they *may* provide you with their original material and be willling to come to an arrangement with you. But they are under no obligation.

Lyle Maeterlinck wrote: Lately I've been hearing on a daily basis from customers who have had their accounts stolen, hacked, or compromised. This never used to be a problem, it has only been a problem in the last several months. At first it was a few people here and there, and now it is almost every day, someone says that their account has been stolen. Usually they contact me to have their items and stats moved to new avatars, or to get stolen property replaced. As in a real SL account or your Vampire biz?

Just read about Second Life Share regarding FB here http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Viewerhelp:Post_to_Facebook Interested in peoples comments, in light of the fact that FB has purged avatars before . So - will this go to your real life FB account? Or to the Avatar page people have made? (thanks to The Other Forum for headsup =^^= )

Would love to know where your 'grapevine' has its roots .. several possibilities spring to mind but then again - i garden =^^= -
Which of the Beta/Official Alternate viewers (Link) are you using, out of interest? It might narrow the problem down if someone else is experiencing this.

No more temp textures/snapshots??!
mikka Luik replied to Winter Ravenheart's topic in General Discussion Forum
Another plus (with the chaos that is my inv) is bulk uploading a set locally and having them easy to find right on the texture tab. -
This is SL, not Open Sim

Security Orbs, Can they ban people from land?
mikka Luik replied to JadedInfluence's question in Land
Yes, there is a way in LSL to add an avatar to a land ban list. See the wiki at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlAddToLandBanList -
