  1. Personally I do look at these surveys and often fill them in before responding:) And perhaps they appreciate the Educational value of the responses they get after a drive by posting, with none of the standard credential and reference info, asking about personal details of the "study group". Plus offering money always helps =^^=
  2. Possibly the authorisation process? See here http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Billing/ta-p/700037#Section_.10.5
  3. And in the spirit, dutifully submitted my responses - and so did my cats =^^=
  4. Sim Lolas, well you can search it in world on your map or try http://slurl.com/secondlife/Lolas/128/128/0/ although I haven't tried inserting an SLURL here before.
  5. Don't know about 13 yr olds in the forums but certainly seems like they can set up questionnaires =^^= now to the OP - spot my responses....
  6. I was just about to ask the same thing... a quick search didn't really turn up anything on a viewer called that..sounds fishy in the extreme
  7. Erm I must be missing something here..... I only see them when I am not logged in. Right now....nada. And ads on the net .. I mean the horror
  8. Yes, llLoadURL from the Wiki
  9. I believe it uses the particle properties of a prim. Very well done in fact.
  10. I think the only option for you may be the beta grid where you can upload at no real cost to you
  11. Partnering costs - sigh already spent mine but maybe next year... =^^= On the play money idea .. ok, sounds great but.... whats a merchant meant to do with them? Can they treat them just as normal Ls? Because I can see lots of, erm, tricks being used right there....
  12. Hey, 10L == an upload to me so actually I am more than happy:) And not everyone even knows its V Day anyway... so yeah I'm a bit cheered up =^^=
  13. Or pull the info in from SLs own figures Here It works pretty well as a straight HTTP request LSL Portal link Here
  14. Might need to use the User name - that seems to be a display name? Ah no my mistake, apologies
  15. Interesting point... so my paying (as part of a group) around 30 bucks a month (to a landlord) doesn't qualify but my oh lets say 2 bucks worth (approx 50) of uploads do.... Hmm...one to mull over =^^=
  16. Have to echo a little here - the Lab is hardly responsible for securing a third parties web infrastructure. The fact they alerted you (rather than your 'landlord') should have you praising them - at least they did. And what on this or any other planet do security orbs in-world have to do with basic internet common sense?
  17. The updating 'live' i didn't know of until now....thats going to be incredibly useful Don't think I am quite ready to give up my regular viewer but its another reason to explore V3 some more (really only used it for the Merchant bit before)
  18. version : Second Life 3.4.4 (268864) Jan 10 2013 04:16:34 (Second Life Release) in pick texture box, "local" button (bottom right under preview) then browse as required. Yes surprised me too
  19. The LL viewer will also let you use a temporary texture to test (its the Local option) which is great. I use it to check sculpts as well before doing an upload. I think its limited to only you being able to see it (not totally sure there) but very useful.
  20. To slightly echo Griffin Ceawlin, why not ask those involved in the OpenSim project? Hardly LL's call to make and yes...probably. I would post links but a simple search will gain you a lot of pointers. As a teaser .. I use OpenSim to test my (virtual)products =^^=
  21. Oh and of course Simona is the log in for a poupular stand alone OpenSim distro =^^= d'oh, almost missed that...Well maybe its an earlly April Fool joke
  22. Linden Who? =^^= ETA Phil beat me by a whisker
  23. Wishing the best in 2013 And hopefully the return of hockey..hey at leasts its a sport related answer =^^=
  24. Ah yes this is the 'transhumanist' person still miffed that corporates just don't want that old OpenQwaq stuff =^^= Very interesting to follow the link at the bottom to the Hypergrid Biz article (which in turn links to, of all places, the Alphaville Herald!).
