Peach? more like... watermelon, am I rite? got´em, on the internet. Regarding the piggu body, I think it just fell short in the quality department, despite the intention being good and filling a niche, the level of detail and work for the main bodies has become really high, like, even if I dont particularly like the shape of the peach body, I could never do something like that in a million years.

That is a very cool looking avatar. For add-ons to work, a builder would need a dev-kit for that specific body. The creator mentions appliers, but that would only cover the textures. If you can get a dev-kit out of the creator, I could do the add-ons

How can a home PC create facial recognition & avatar?
StarlanderGoods replied to ral61's topic in Your Avatar
It can be done, I once did it using an x-box Kinect, but the result was very poorly optimized, it would have t aken me ages to clean it up with the tools I had back then. also, for obvious reasons it didnt capture the back of my head. -

In a way yes, but when dealing with legalese the wording has to be very specific, to cover their behind. A poorly worded TOS or communication from LL could incite some of the more litigious members of the community. But this is what forums are good for, theres always going to be some sicko that reads the whole damn thing TWICE, and can explain it in a human language for us, the legalese illiterate.

New Second Life terms and conditions

Im probably entering the conspiracy theory realm, but lets imagine that casper is still resident owned, wouldnt that be a way for people to buy and sell goods avoiding the sole discretion of Tilia ? Could the buyout of Casper be related to this changes? And if so, was this TOS change the endgame or are we still moving towards a different end? /me takes off tinfiol hat -
Lab Gab .. as a podcast, in the viewer.
StarlanderGoods replied to Coffee Pancake's topic in General Discussion Forum
Would love some podcasts in-world. SL Youtube channel is mostly 1 minute clips of places, it doesnt tell me anything I want to know, it is the equivalent of a picture of a sim. I started watching Lab Gab when it came out, but dropped it pretty quick when it became about the Lindends instead of about SL. There is a ton of content in SL to make a weekly podcast or two, without having to go back to interviewing the office every other program. Like there are a ton of sports and competitions in SL, enough to make a segment for it, fashion events, and people doing weird-interesting stuff. You could get two residents to discuss the best cars/boats for travelling and kill 20-30 min. The SL University is nice, but I think its more targeted to newer residents, you could get a couple of residents from the builders brewery to give tips on, or discuss building stuff. The podcast format requires less production and like Coffee Pancake said, plugging it into SL would definitely increase viewers/listeners.- 40 replies

Try the "Wanted" section of the forum. I would do it, but Im focused on clothing and some furniture and dont have much experience with houses in particular.

Thats not really how rigging works, avatars cant attach to other avatars. What you need is a "vehicle", where you sit your avatar, and it has walking, running, jumpingg animations for your avatar, and the "rider" also sits on the vehicle, but it has rider related animations. What you are looking for is a scripter and probably an animator.

Using a non-gendered avatar has been a great experience, I feel people are more open and focused on the conversation. And no one asks what gender I am. The few times I use my human avatar it´s very different, maybe its the places I hang out at, but it feels people are more confrontational and less prone to small talk.

I want one of those UI that turn transparent when not in use, like some RPG games. And a more compact version of the build window. I cant even imagine how one could chat and build on a phone screen, being as short sighted as I am, I would have to tape the phone to my head, VR style, and click with my nose.

The answer is yes, you need to rig it. And you dont necesarily need Avastar for rigging, you can do all that Avastar does manually, but it is a lot of work and a lot of experimentation. Im asuming you are using Blender, there is this field of data that the skeletons are missing for some reason, wich you can add manually, and then you can transfer weights without using Avastar. But I have been spoiled by it, and I dont remember the exact steps, but I know its possible because I did rig succesfully for a body, before getting Avastar.

You could go over to the emplyment sub forum, and commision the thing. Also, for what body is it ?

Just think about it, would YOU work for 100 L an hour? That is a good price for camping, but not for being in front of a screen
