I'd love to wear Legacy cause the shape rocks for my look, but not at the triangle count they're currently sporting. Plus, having to connect to an external server for the HUD? No thanks. Kahlene I'd be okay with except for their outrageous hips and butt, I have never been able to make a slim Kahlene. One I am watching is Star Mesh once they get a slim shape in and some of their planned accessories done, but will need to look at triangle count. It's outrageous some of the counts, compared to something like all of my TWI animals meshes that are sooo much lower.

I guess I will be standing.... (please help)
Katherine Heartsong replied to vanitydarlington's topic in Your Avatar
As mentioned, those are the first things to do .. turn off any Animation Overrides you are running, then fiddle with hover height. The next thing is to click on the thing you are trying to sit on and adjust the positions and save them. When I go dancing at Foxxies or Frankies, I always remind myself to turn off my AOs before clicking on the dance orbs. -
I also think beginning new is good. I have been off and on for about 11 years now, but either could not remember my old accounts or had no reason to go back to them. Starting new has been great for me.

https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/SHAPEshifters-JEFFREY-SHAPE-FOR-LELUTKA-EVO-HEAD-ALAIN/20952601 The hair base is no problem, but anyone know what that hair style might be? Or an equivalent that has very little vertical rise as it sweeps backwards? Really looking for slicked down suitable for middle aged guy. Thanks.

Bizarre problem with new second life viewer
Katherine Heartsong replied to ArchTx Edo's topic in Second Life Viewer
OMG that is soooo trippy and amazing! Why would you want it to look normal?? -
Pretty much this. As an artist IRL, I love that phrase you used, "abstract portrait of myself". I don't even share the same RL sex of my SL avatar, but "she" is still me, in almost every sense that matters. It's still the real me behind my actions and interactions, since there's no real way for me to act otherwise. Can I role-play other personality types in SL? I could, and I appreciate those folks who do, but the point of SL for me is to explore aspects of me such as gender and desire that real world is less comfortable seeing, or I feel unable to fully express. I can also play with themes outrageously while having fun as well ... full on cyberpunk angel, TWI deer or lion, etc, that I just can't do in RL. But even in those avatars, I still behave fundamentally like I do IRL.

How do you know when it's time to make an In-World store?
Katherine Heartsong replied to mnp2357's topic in Merchants
I have both an InWorld gallery and a MP store. My main issue with having two places is that my paintings are one-of-a-kind. I sell one of each work, and that's all. So for me, my gallery in the artists's colony at Campbell Coast is where you can see the works on a wall, but each of them have a note to open the MP store and make your purchase there. I could not figure out how to inventory control automatically between inworld item and MP store ... that is to say, if someone purchased it in my gallery it'd have to then show 0 available on the MP store. The down side is that when one sells from my MP store, I have to physically go to my gallery and remove it from the wall because it's no longer available. If you sell unlimited items, then having both would most likely work in your favour, depending on the price of the storefront/land rental. -
Help me decide, Belleza Jake or Legacy?

I like my man in Signature. [giggles] Then (also) crank down the muscles and height to something less than 7' and built like a tank, for the love of everything holy. -

Incredible and rare find! 1024sqm parcel on the very NW edge of Malyskin with direct sailing access to Blake Sea. Flat parcel with steep coast to water, ideal for rocks, trees, cottage and a sailboat. Quiet neighbours and great landscaping/themes all around the coastlines. This will not last long. Taking a small hit, but asking only 9,000L. Thanks for looking. Teleport here > http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Malyshkin/16/245/25

Cannot create requested inventory
Katherine Heartsong replied to MBeatrix's topic in Second Life Server
Just noticed that. Trying to put on some nice lingerie clothing (yes, clothing, ahem) for my partner, kept staying naked. He wasn't complaining, but even his alphas weren't working so all I see of him is head, arms, and feet. Kinda wanted the rest -
I've been told that, and yet have a huge gap between how my partners system and mine performs. He's got a comparable CPU (okay, a rich better but not by much) and a 2070 Super, mine's an older Radeon Pro 580 and he's getting 3-4x the frame rate at twice the draw distance and almost Ultra graphics so in terms of shadows, textures etc his card is smacking mine hard. Will write up my difference in same scene when I get this all set up this coming week. If it is this darn CPU, then at least I can play MS Flight Sim and X-Plane much nicer with the 3070. Update ... okay, apologies Ansariel ... I am way behind on processors and have a much crappier one than I imagined ... if anyone interested here are the basics: going from a 4 core, 8 thread, 7th gen processor (from over 3 years ago), with an 8MB cache and boosting to 4.5GHz on 2133 RAM, to a 10th gen i7-10700F, 8 cores, 16 threads, 16MB cache boosting to 4.8GHz. That will be a big improvement, yes? PS. And I finally have my wired Ethernet up to speed after being blocked to only 100Mbps .. nearly 1000Mbps down now according to the speed test sites I use.
