  1. We decorated around her and her furniture since she is the most important to us. Yes, she is a zooby animesh, but she used to be a zooby legacy baby. She is everything to us and decorating was secondary.
  2. Decorating our home has been a really slow ongoing process and is still being tweaked with here and there to make the most of our land impact usage. Here is some of the things hubby and I have done differently from last time. Still very simple. 😁
  3. While my alt still had time remaining on her premium membership, there was about a month I spent the wee hours Friday and Saturday doing the refreshing game to see if anything good came up. During these quiet hours, I almost always got a few homes and boat houses both. I was on SLT when I did this. I would claim the house for a few moments and release them just to see if I could go through the entire process. So I just want to encourage people that it will happen for you when you least expect it. You will get that beautiful home you want and it doesn't always have to happen around a release of them. The quiet hours when everyone else is sleeping when you have a day or two off to stay up a bit late might just be the time you get that home. It can and does happen. You don't have to spend hours on end either. Just devote maybe half an hour or hour to it. It is when we stop looking usually for the thing we want most that it comes unexpectedly and with much joy into our lives. Sorry for the babble, but just giving feedback what my alt experienced the last four weeks while experimenting. I wish everyone the most luck in getting their dream home. The Moles are doing such an incredible job because each region seems to be even more beautiful than their last. Absolutely stunning place we will all get to call home at some point.
  4. I have to say that sometimes I wish one of the reaction emoji options was a wow type option because it never ceases to amaze me what people have done to their homes. Absolutely beautiful decorating and building talent while over at my tiny home we are still painstakingly decorating around our baby Edi who is worth every land impact she takes up to us! Really though, I love seeing what everyone has come up with. 😍
  5. Paddleboating through Bellisseria with my sister Ally. I've really become addicted to this little paddle boat and I never thought I would since I usually love my husband's sailboat and the tiny one I have. ❀️
  6. I have two people that make our house a home for me. My husband and our daughter.
  7. It is so funny how easily we can forget about simple things we actually love doing! I was reminded of how much I loved rollerskating when I could actually do it from the "Games to Play in Bellisseria thread." What a fun and inspiring thread giving us ideas of how to even have more fun in Bellisseria! Thank you for that. A small search through the marketplace and purchase saw me rolling down the streets of Bellisseria in style. 😁
  8. My hubby and I absolutely LOVE the pool area in our neighborhood! I walk down there daily with our daughter while she has her afternoon bottle before her nap. Hubby joins us on his days off. We love sitting at the adorable little table and chairs they have. We chat and people watch. Many people have come to the pool area in our visits. Some local members of the community and others just visiting Bellisseria for the first time. We've also gone swimming in the pool and it is enjoyable. We love it. The Moles have done such a beautiful job on the areas and I never thought I would be living in such a picturesque place. I certainly couldn't afford it before Bellisseria so I'll be happy and thankful for what I have. Please remember anything worth having takes time. That is actually a good sign because it means it's being done the right way. Patience will get you everywhere in this situation. I'm sorry I've repeated this before, but I find it so true. Give the Lindens and the Moles a chance to actually get this huge undertaking done because they are so right in making it a priority to get communities built. Now I would be completely thrilled if they added some diving animations and more variety animations to the chairs, floaties, loungers and towels down the road as has been suggested! That would be awesome. I would love to actually be able to cuddle with my hubby while at the pool area. That can be down the road though. For now I'm so thankful for the things I do have. I'm going to even look into items I can add to my avi. Great suggestion! Please excuse the fact that I'm an optimistic person by nature which tends to make others a bit queasy at times. πŸ˜…
  9. I go up to our bedroom to change in the linden home we have. All parcel privacy is set up so no one can peek. I'm kinda prudish that way.
  10. What a wonderfully big cookie! Enjoy it! 😊
  11. I would hope they would handle it like any grown adults should in that situation. On a more positive note, I hope there aren't a massive amount of breakups in the community. I hope people remain happy in their relationships no matter what world it exists in. Edited to add...what I typed out sounds grumpy. It wasn't meant that way at all. So I'm sorry if it came out that way. I really need to stop posting when I have a migraine. I'm gonna go be quiet now. 😊
  12. Your cafe looks divine Prudence. I cannot wait to drag my boyfriend to see it when we both get a chance to login. please forgive the off topic, but I just wanted to say thank you to you Prudence and everyone who puts so much of their imagination, time and heart to create these wonderful places you're all sharing with us. Thank you to those who will follow that in the future too! Live your dreams. That is what I like to think Bellisseria is there for. I hope it continues bringing people together and inspiring. ❀️
  13. We have a pool in our backyard a few of my neighbors have gotten too and I don't blame them! It was a good price. Did they first see it in our backyard? I have no idea and really don't care. I'm not paranoid to give it much thought. If someone finds something useful that I have out in homes or on my person, then I'm happy to be of help. Not that anyone would go to the trouble of copying me, but I wouldn't mind if they did. I had to make that clear. πŸ˜…
  14. Oh gosh! I love that show! Now I know what I'll be doing later...binge watching reruns. Thank you for the reminder!
  15. I hope humans and animals alike have fun at the party! You're very kind Hammy to set up a party for everyone. I hope you and the Kitsunes Foxies don't work too hard with the set up and remember to have fun too! I must add...Adorable photos of baby hamsters. The one eating a carrot slice! My heart has officially squeeeeeed itself into exhaustion at the sweetness. 😭❀️
  16. I've never gotten to see the areas where the moles are in the middle of creating or building, but it has always sounded like a lot of work to me. I couldn't imagine how much thought and effort has to go behind the layout of houses and landscaping. I love seeing all the photos that people share though who are more courageous to explore than I am. It is so interesting the small differences they are adding here and there to make areas more unique. I do know I appreciate all the hard work and dedication the Lindens and Moles both exhibit. I agree with you completely. ☺️
  17. My entire family loves sailing. I don't go sailing without my better half though so Edi (my daughter) and I enjoy taking out my swan paddle boat exploring the ocean and water ways. Edited to add: Please forgive the large photos.
  18. I've been known to be that overly enthusiastic annoying neighbor who loves to decorate for holidays. Especially Halloween and the holiday season. In both worlds. So much so that last year I put out these adorable caroling snowmen in my yard on my sister's residential sim along with the other many decorations that I like to thinks shined out like a beacon, but perhaps more realistically stuck out like an eye sore? I didn't realize these snowmen actually made caroling sounds until my sister messaged me and made the comment, "I wonder what village idiot decided to bother all their neighbors with loud singing that has caused numerous complaints." I simply replied, "I'm the village idiot you're speaking about sis!" Oops! I couldn't hear them so didn't know they made noise. I've learned since then to ask my boyfriend or friends if something is making noise that could disturb a neighbor. Luckily the snowmen were modifiable so I deleted all the scripts. πŸ˜… On that note though, I would thoroughly love to be part of a caroling party over the holiday season. That would be incredibly fun. Or even a choir that meets regularly. No matter what I'll continue my passion for decorating and look forward to seeing what others come up with as well!
  19. I've always found it fascinating how differently each person can interpret words typed out. Of course it is more difficult because there is no tone to be heard and only can be interpreted by the reader. I'm deaf so this is a constant for me. One that I've learned to appreciate because that tone won't become any clearer besides through practicing patience, understanding and kindness. That is why it is so important to attempt to use your words in the most effective manner possible no matter where you're coming from in these discussions of seemingly "to have" and "have not". That is a generalized use of you so realize it isn't spoken towards anyone directly. When Linden Lab raised prices on premium membership, I was one of the many who posted a little rant to get it out of my system. It probably wasn't the most forceful or argumentative rant, but it was a rant none the less. It helped. After a few days of figuring out my budget, I still realized that being a premium member had more positive than negative factors for me. I've been a premium member since 2009 and I'm determined to remain so because I love supporting a virtual world that has brought me so much joy and life over the years. I love the idea that I help with my little quarterly membership those hard working Moles and Lindens who dedicate a lot of time and energy into making sl the best it possibly can be. Those wonderful moles are out working in Bellisseria daily. Long hours trying to get as many of these homes as possible ready to be released. Building new regions takes time. It takes time to do things right. Patch has tried to keep the community up to date on things as much as possible under the circumstances. Especially since I imagine Bellisseria isn't their only project they have to focus on. The moles even take the time to respond to the more prominent concerns here in the forums. That means they are paying attention. They are reading and listening. At the end of the day we are all wanting to be part of the same community and wouldn't it be better to try instead of being on this side or that side to remember respect goes both ways and showing some kindness, patience and understanding will create a better foundation for the community as a whole. Any community is going to have its hiccups and the best thing we can all do is learn and grow from them. People are of course upset because they have yet to get a new traditional home or boathouse. That is completely understandable. It can be frustrating being on the waiting end. I understand there is nothing healthier at times than a good rant to get all the bad jumbled up feelings lingering in our head out. Ranting doesn't equate to attacking, demeaning or insulting others though. It equates to just ranting. Better out than in as the saying goes. Perhaps try to look to the future too because this waiting won't be forever. While you're waiting take the time to join the inworld Bellisseria groups, get to know the people in the community and build a life where you're planning to live. Build friendships and community with us. Explore the many beautiful areas the moles have created, sail the waters, go for a bike ride or swim, or take a swan paddle boat out on the water like I will be doing shortly with my daughter. 😊 Seriously...swan paddle boats are pure awesome sauce! I really hope those who have yet to get a home will get their home soon, but good things take time to create. Words can be a very powerful tool that should be used with caution. Please excuse my novels that I seem to leave all over this place. These are my humble thoughts. Yes, I realize they are idealistic. No, I don't expect everyone to agree with them.
  20. How has my Second Life changed since landing on Bellisseria? My family was fortunate enough to get a traditional house on the first day of the initial release. We had a feeling they were going to be popular and go fast so we held onto our little home most thankfully. We consider ourselves very lucky to have gotten a home so those little things that weren't what we considered perfect became our new perfectly imperfect home and yard. It is a matter of home is where our hearts are and our hearts are together in that little house we've painstakingly decorated together. It is where our daughter plays and the house and yard are filled with her laughter. It is where our kittycats run all over the place and create havoc. It is where I get unconditional love and hugs. That house has become part of our family. I'm also very shy to the point of timidity and becoming physically ill because of anxiety. This has changed since I've moved to Bellisseria. I bike ride around my neighborhood on my bicycle. Daily walks with my family to the community pool that overlook the ocean. Also, the creation and inspiration of Elfie and Minnie foxes came into existence here. Being Elfie has helped me to open up a bit more easily and I even find I'm responding so much more in at least this section of the forum. Elfie and Minnie have become huge fans of Hammy. That is a huge change in me. I'm interacting with more people than I ever have before. I'm giving people a chance. Bellisseria is so much more than I ever expected it to be. I'm beyond speechless much of the time how absolutely lovely it is. The people and atmosphere are wonderful. The happiness I get as I look around are the people I see cycling or walking by outside my front door. It is in the individuality of my neighbors displayed in how they decorate their front and back garden. It is in the ocean that I can gently see ripple from boats and fish. It is in the beautiful large shady trees that Elfie and Minnie enjoy napping under. It is in the wildlife I'm so very fortunate to see around me and be part of. It is everything and everyone around me in my quiet existence that gently witnesses life happening in the Bellisseria community. Sorry for the novel. Please excuse my long windedness. Thank you Beth for such a beautiful topic. It is a nice break from the more sharped edged topics in the forum at present. ☺️
  21. That would be pure awesome sauce! ☺️
  22. Congratulations to those who got their homes! I hope that everyone with some time and patience gets the home of their dreams in Bellisseria if they so wish one. 😊
  23. Oh my gosh! I would be way too shy to take part in this, but what a hilarious idea that I would love to see! πŸ˜‚
