  1. Peeved. Me: I should probably not overdo it, but I should at least try to clean the lines a bit so it doesn't look too unnatural. Also me, 5 minutes later: .. Juuuust a little more .. Aaalmost there ..
  2. People can add you to subscriber lists without needing you to have ever been anywhere near it. Could be people just grabbing names from groups or wherever. I've gotten tons of unsolicited chat adverts at home with 'if you want to turn off these messages, come to our mainstore (on a region I've never been) and click the subscriber', even on alts I hadn't logged on for months prior. I usually just block the owner instead (but since that won't work against something sending you emails .. Bleh).
  3. As far as I know, Waterhorse released one or two animesh horses when that was a new thing, and then went kind of silent. I don't know whether they ever came 'back', as I eventually went with Teegle myself. What I can say for Teegle is that it has a very large community of both creators (skins/accessories/animations for your horse) and various sorts of horse-related events, such as riding classes, group rides, and exhibitions. I do feel Waterhorse look a little less cartoony though, but that's a matter of preference (and they still do look really nice!).
  4. Not sure where to find .. **** Cove. But it might be worthwhile ARing the offending object (probably better than hoping that a Linden or Mole here on the forums stumble across this particular post!).
  5. I dislike the limitations of that method, myself. Can't be bothered to resize my images just to be within the upload limit of a post/my profile. Also it feels a bit clunky, I find! I'll usually just toss images up at something like ImgBB, or take a Gyazo snap, unless it's something I've uploaded to my Flickr. Then just embed the link. Poof! <Text> <Image URL> <More text> I've yet to bonk into any kind of ceiling for putting too many/large images into a post with that method!
  6. I have noticed that a lot of stores and events lately have put up orbs that will chuck out people wearing Bloodlines attachments (got yeeted from a popular hair store when I forgot I had the Nexus attachment on). I do criticise the system for how 'dumb' it is (you can't actually use the Nexus for anything without the HUD, the Nexus is just a connection thingy - which I do usually take off because scripts, but since it's invisible I sometimes miss it - and also, I've seen no resurgence in spampire hordes to warrant it, but then I am known to live under a rock sometimes). But perhaps something of that style could be useful in some venues. If an avatar is wearing an 'underage' body, they probably shouldn't be in a BDSM club. If someone is wearing a combination of an underage body and genitalia/pregnancy stuff/'I've gone gotten gooey' attachments, that too could perhaps be detected automatically (this should ideally not be a by-venue thing though, but something LL should monitor across the grid at all times - if at all feasible, I don't know how that would work from a technical standpoint though). Of course, no such solution will solve the whole problem, as people do make shapes that very much appear to be teenagers at best with many of the 'mainstream' bodies (particularly when combined with something like perky/petite and having a very juvenile-looking face). But it'd be a step, at least. I would guess that at least a significant portion of people who actually do this sort of thing probably do it in the privacy of their own homes, rather than somewhere they might get caught doing so, and whilst I'm generally all for adult, consenting individuals doing whatever they want within the privacy of their homes, this particular issue might just be alarming enough to warrant LL taking severe precautions (although I'm not saying they should go 'ah-hah! Here they wear this and this at the same instant, permaban!', but rather 'this combination is dodgy, we should look into it').
  7. Not as such. Mammals were around during the dino-apocalypse, we descend from those. Birds are thought to descend from the dinosaurs themselves - our common ancestors with dinosaurs (and thus, birds) are much further back (400mn years, whilst birds are the evolution of the dinosaurs that went 'extinct' 66mn years ago). We, thus, do not descend from dinosaurs, any more than my nephew descended from me. Scratches his beard trying to come up with a totally valid reason this has everything to do with Oberwager's announcement.
  8. It probably wouldn't be very accidental though. Chickens will happily kill and eat rodents, frogs, snails, lizards etc, if they get their beaks on them. They're not vegetarians, they're tiny omnivores that happen to be excellent hunters.
  9. I'm not sure whether to be hyped or confused. But. I'm kinda hyped.
  10. Hm, depends on what sort of hair you're looking for, but places like Doux, Stealhic, and Magika have lots of interesting stuff between them.
  11. Going home to eat cookies and ice cream might be morally ambiguous*, but not criminal. Cookies AND ice cream? Pick one!
  12. Can you still purchase from the machines without wearing the HUD, though? Because if so, that system is totally insufficient. It is unreasonable to expect people who go to shopping events to read through a bunch of text when they arrive, or be expected to know how that particular event does things. People treating it like any other event, going straight for the vendors to do what they're there for, all they'll see are slot machines.
  13. And women have the audacity to complain about freenises. Huffs!
  14. Peeve: when people tell others what is and isn't 'on topic' whilst they themselves sh!tpost all over the place.
  15. Yeah, the avatar lock can help a little, but I also used to mess with a friend by pushing her avi around an object so that she couldn't rubberband back into place, so it isn't foolproof (and I think it can rotate your avi? Not sure, haven't tested it).
  16. Yep. It's meant to just show off the ambiance. The flashing light is from the lightning outside.
  17. Peeve: you've set everything up on a no-rez place, managed to wiggle your avi into position in its pose and set the EEP to be just right, framed the shot and all, and you're ready to take the snap. But then you mix up Ctrl + Shift + S and Ctrl + Shift + H.
  18. So much this. My inventory feels very much like 50 shades of black. Minus the part where I find a rich sugar mum to give me all the things and do mildly naughty things to me.
  19. It's a bit like people who eventually can't seem to differentiate humans and pets.
  20. First I help relieve them of their soul, and then I help them be sacrificed to the Dark Ones. Nodnods. Nah, it depends on what they need help with. Most often it's helping them finding a mesh body/head to suit their needs and setting up their 'base avi' outfit. Sometimes it's finding places to live. I quite enjoy doing it, so I don't mind if it ends up taking a few hours to get them settled in, besides it usually leads to making friends which is neat.
