  1. Peeve: recipes that specify that you should whip cream with an electric mixer. It's quicker by hand, there's less washing up if you do it by hand, you have much more control when doing it by hand. Does the author assume I'm an arthritic grandmother or something? If it were a meringue, sure, but whipping cream? Bah!
  2. If you open the camera controls and hit the gear icon you can adjust the camera's position and rotation in relation to your avatar:
  3. I've got this one from Sau. It's very well set-up from the get-go, and since it's using ACS scripts it's highly modifiable so you can adjust and tune it to your liking. Pretty sure it comes in other colours, this one was available at a weekend sale.
  4. I very seldom use AnyPose, and mostly just to adjust existing poses. But I think you can export the poses and then upload them as animations which you can then run either via AO or by making a little pose HUD. From the product description: "The AnyPose BVH version can export the final pose to a .BVH file that can be uploaded to SL as a single frame animation and used without the stand."
  5. Huh, had no idea they'd changed name. Still got the best Cyberpunk hair in SL, IMO. Don't care if it's primmy, it's pretty!
  6. Phoenix dress from Tetra. Edit: Oh, you'd found it already - well, there it is for anyone else who gets curious about it lol.
  7. I'm a little peeved with myself because I knew this was going to happen, and yet I didn't stock up on popcorn. When the streaming services push so hard piracy goes mainstream again, I shall be better prepared!
  8. Dang it, are you the one who's been running around killing my minions? Harrumphs.
  9. I don't believe in 'raw' pictures. Many of the post-processing tools in BDW are essentially the same kind of tools you'll find in GeForce's Overlay filters. And is this one raw? It went straight from snapshot to disc to ImgBB (for image hosting) to here - it only uses one of the snapshot filters provided in the Firestorm snapshot tool. That said, I think there's a huge leap going from raw/filtered/edited to 'reimagined and recreated from prompt by AI'. Then there's grey areas such as face grafting.
  10. This was the prize for the Grid Drive the other week, perhaps I should sail north and ravage the coast of Satori a little .. .. Then again it'd feel terribly awkward going Viking under a French flag. Yeah, screw that - battle stations!
  11. I don't know what's planned for there - I mean we don't really 'need' another sea with just open water regions (although wasn't there talk of some lower-cost type of server that would make those cheaper? Hm, it's too early in the morning). Personally I don't think open water regions are even fun to sail at anyway - like, yay I can go in a straight line for 3 kilometres so I can focus on peeping on bikini babes along the way? Meh. If I were in charge of developing that bit of void there I'd either go with islands with waterways, a bit like we've got, well, almost everywhere around Nautilus - I quite like the solution someone built around the southern coast of Corsica for example, creating navigable passageways with island real estate (though those are developed by the Taurua Fiji estate): But then I don't think that particular void 'needs' to be filled, either, you are able to navigate by boat all the way down the western coast of Satori and connect with the waterways of Belli (the protected waterways around the 'hump' of the west coast is a bit narrow, but 'navigable' doesn't necessarily have to accommodate for aircraft carriers .. Or people's aircraft-carrier sized compensation yachts!). There's only really one point where I think it's hazardously narrow, where one extra region to widen the gap would be helpful: This little corner in Chuginadak is a rather tight turn. If the region crossing is being slow, you're likely to overshoot the space before you've regained controls. If there was a region to the north-east with a little more space you could make that crossing a lot easier. There's a similar situation just south of there, but there you have a full region of water and a full edge of protected land, so rather than aiming for the corner you can loop down and align yourself at an east-south-east angle, do one crossing, then steer full east and go straight into the waterway. Another spot where waterway development is going to be interesting is in the void around the new welcome hub. The north-eastern Belli waterway comes to a rather abrupt halt (although there is a dock with a railway station, and of course roads, so you could continue your vehicular journey - just not in a boat). If a waterway connection is made between east and west there (which seems probable) you could sail (or row!) from Corsica to Jeogeot or Sansara!
  12. I've danced with a Czech, does that count?
  13. That would also kind of ruin the concept of private regions for some folks. I'm hopeful for how things are looking with Belli's growth in the north and how it may make southern Satori more navigable. We've got a water connection a fair bit north already which does accommodate for sailing to the southern tip (although there are a few tight corners up along the western coast of Satori - placing just a handful of regions down there with protected waterways would be sufficient - the rest could be prime water-side real-estate). Eastern Satori coast .. Well, you could make it navigable with a couple of extra regions with protected waterways to accommodate traffic, but I doubt that'll happen.
  14. The blinking can be a little awkward at times, but the talk animation is quite nice ..
  15. Granted, but it's got some peculiar teleport routing issues (instead dropping you in a safe hub) making it totally inaccessible. I wish the shoe base layer was capable of a greater height offset.
  16. With the current system, things supposedly get delisted if no one buys them and the creator isn't around - either someone is still buying that 'junk' or the creators are still in SL. I think those qualifications seem reasonable.
  17. Yeah, because user-driven 'quality checks' don't pretty much always get abused terribly. Just look at any competitive game that has some sort of vote-to-kick function. Feel like a competitor is bad for business? Gather a mob and drive their stuff off the MP!
  18. After three hours of demoing shoes .. Close enough for now!
