From those two pictures, I much prefer the overall shape you've got on the Maitreya. Might be part of the dress too, but with how the knees and waist both look pinched it feels as if the profile is all over the place.

It's a quite common misconception, a lot of creators have dropped Gianni and so many new releases are Jake/Legacy only - people complain the dev kit is hard to work with, much the same as why there's creators dropping Lara even though it's the most popular body. .. Now if only we'd get a Gianni X too ..
-
Using Lara X is entirely optional though, there's nothing stopping anyone from continuing to use 5.3 (or even older versions). The market may change, but since it's a free body for anyone who already owns Maitreya jumping back and forth between the two to wear whichever ones one's clothes fit with is going to be easy enough. Unless you're going to wear transparent trousers for 5.3 with a top for X there shouldn't be much of a problem.

Not sure. Just sort of hoping the argument would derail into some mud-wrestling before things get locked.

Peeved: finished up a season of a series yesterday, and I was so sure I had downloaded the next season already that I didn't go to check. But nope, I hadn't.- 23,459 replies

Not gonna lie, all I think of when you say that is a pervy anime character from a series a friend was trying to get me started on. One of the main characters summons him, he'd instantly be distracted by her and scream 'nice body!'. Which, to be fair, is about as tactful as most people are in SL!
-
The 'old' (current) version will remain, so there'll be no trouble to continue using that for current clothing.
-
I'll have to see it in-world to decide whether or not I prefer the new version, I suspect I will though. Then I'll just have to try on what clothes do work with the new shape and what ones don't, and save the current version of the body for when I want to wear any of those (unless the clothes too get updated, but I highly doubt all the clothes will be).

May have picked the wrong Sid at first - but with a little bit of photo magic, no one will notice!

It'd be impressive selling 500 copies for Gen.X, as that's around 80% of the total amount of users or either version. If I could sell a product to 80% of the Maitreya users on the grid for just L$1, I could get an all-inclusive weekend trip to-- Err, Copenhagen. .. Ew.
-
Well, then you may just have to embrace nudism, as it's unlikely there'll be much new clothes released for it at all. But if that works for you, that's all good and stuff!

Because each different body requires a different rig, which is a lot of work.

Of course you could also use save sticks to save the alpha settings (as well as nails and foot-shape and such) with Maitreya. I've got a few outfits where I've made a save stick and keep it as part of the outfit, that way the HUD attaches when I put it on, I can load the settings and then immediately detach it when finished.

Wouldn't competing with CasperVend now be directly competing with LL since they acquired it? Can't really speak for whether it works though, I just grabbed some demos off the MP and had no issues, so it appears to be sporadic.

Sort of newbie looking for Forge and cyber fashions in Petite
Orwar replied to KenzieFoxx's topic in Fashion
It might be tricky to find stuff, A&Y only rigged for petite for a few releases before dropping it (but definitely check those out), the Forge have 0 hits on petite in their store. Cyberpunk is pretty niche as it is, and many niche creators don't bother creating for 8 bodies + addons. You could still get stuff to work with 'regular' clothes (or stuff that just isn't tagged as 'cyber') and accessories (SOLE is a good place to start, Neurolab Inc has some nifty stuffs). -

It could well be your adblocker. Just whitelist the MP if so and it should be fine. -

Can't remember exactly what was when, the save sticks were new for one of the versions, the separation of the onion layers was another, annnd hands and feet were put on the body at some point .. The universal neck was in there somewhere too, and the BOM Addon parts/HUD, I think. I distinctly remember being hyped when 5.3 came, but I can't remember what for!
-
I was wondering that too .. Pretty sure most of those options got slashed when Maitreya updated to the 'universal neck' standard (not sure when that was exactly).
